This room is very special. There is an old-fashioned tea-frying machine inside, and a bar counter converted from a tea-making machine. The room is a duplex with upstairs and downstairs. It is actually suitable for more people to live in. It is an old house, and it is a bit scary for two people to live in. It is too empty.

Style. 100 years old former sake brewery and tea house turned hotel Setting. Old building in an area known for tea Explore. Yame old town Rooms. I find Nipponia hotels irresistible. My suite was immaculate, perfectly comfortable, with a wooden cypress bath, spacious living room and twin beds, plus mini bar. Ear plugs were provided because the room is right next to the entrance. While Yame is tranquil, being right next to the entrance/street, from this room 102 you could hear people talk as they walk by, drive by, park in front of the hotel & etc. Food & drinks. decent quality but I thought the dinner at Nipponia Sarawa and Kosuge were better. Prices. Expensive @ $868 Rating. 4/5

We stayed 2 nights on a package that included breakfast and dinner both days. Overall the experience was exceptional. Our room included a bedroom, dressing room, lounge (Japanese style) and a fabulous bathroom. The beds were really comfortable. We overlooked a lovely garden. All meals were outstanding. Some of the best we have had in Japan.

I understand the concept. The worst thing is that it's just cold!! That's all there is to it. I kept my coat on in the room. There were three of us staying, so two of us were in bed and one was in the living room(?) on a futon, but this living room was even colder because there was no partition between the entrance and the hallway. I had to keep the bath open and keep the water running. It might have been a little better. The other thing was that the repairs and furniture looked too cheap. It would have been better if they had asked someone with more taste to do the interior! It's a shame. The food was neither good nor bad. I think it would have been better to have a hot pot or something in the winter. I think the spirit of preserving old things is wonderful, but if you're going to preserve them, you should either keep them in that state or renovate them so nicely that you'll be impressed. There's nothing more tasteless than renovating an old house with just a vague atmosphere.
