Exceeded my expectations! I had initially booked a B&B for 600 a night, but then stumbled upon Jingting and, despite my doubts, splurged on a stay. Unfortunately, due to a typhoon, we couldn't take the hand-cranked boat ride, but everything else was a huge surprise! Truly pet-friendly. Highly recommended!

This guesthouse is incredibly comfortable, showcasing the owner's thoughtful touches in every aspect, from the facilities and service details to its cultural charm. It's also pet-friendly! If you're visiting Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, it's definitely worth staying here to truly experience the tranquility of the town after the crowds have dispersed. You can also relax in the guesthouse's courtyard, sip tea, and listen to the stories of this ancient home.

An old house restored to its former glory, a well and pavilion secluded from the hustle and bustle. Light shifts, cats play with shadows, tea's fragrance mingles with water lilies. Night conversations delve into Zen, a dog guarding the door by my side. Compassion ignites the flame of wisdom, no need to cleanse the heart's old marks.

Facilities: A charming, old-world place. As a 7-star guesthouse in Zhujiajiao, it's very photogenic. Hygiene: The attention to detail truly shows the owner's care. The toiletries are the same brand I use at home; I even bought some to take with me, saving a trip to the department store. Environment: From the doorknobs to the ornaments, locks, and window frames, every detail is perfectly controlled. The vintage bicycles are super cool to ride! Service: The housekeeper was always online and upgraded our room upon arrival. Afternoon tea was served at the 'First Teahouse of Jiangnan,' with delicate and exquisite offerings. The stinky tofu was delicious! We also had lunch at the 'First Teahouse of Jiangnan.' Getting there by sculling boat only takes a few minutes, which is very convenient. The food generally met expectations, though a few dishes could be improved. The breakfast on the second day was also very rich, especially the Termitomyces mushroom noodles. I honestly think they could open a standalone shop just for those – they were that good! I have too many photos to upload. I'd love to come back for another relaxing stay. Highly recommended for a get-together with girlfriends, a date, or a family trip.

As traditional culture enthusiasts, we found our experience here almost perfect. The ancient house itself is definitely worth a visit! BUT! We ran into a severe thunderstorm and had to switch rooms four times in a row! There were bugs, leaks, and a broken air conditioner. It was quite a scare. Luckily, when we were stranded in the lobby, we had the detailed and thoughtful service of friends, a cat, and phone calls to help us resolve everything.

Location is ideal but difficult to find. It is just besides the bridge, “Zhonglong” bridge. If use google map must put Zhonglong bridge. Other than that, everything is perfect. It is comfortable, service is impeccable and free amenities given. Very well thought out and staff are excellent.

The moment I booked, the housekeeper promptly contacted me. Knowing my child is older, they upgraded my room type. The pick-up and drop-off were seamless, and the service was thoughtful and warm-hearted!

The First Teahouse, which is the hotel's restaurant, is beautifully situated overlooking the river and even offers traditional Pingtan storytelling performances during afternoon tea. **Ambiance:** It truly lives up to its reputation as Zhujiajiao's premier guesthouse. It's a traditional Chinese courtyard estate, steeped in Zen tea culture. There are tea tables everywhere, both in the courtyard and inside the rooms. Imagine a warm pot of tea in the afternoon, listening to the birds chirp, all while surrounded by the tranquil and peaceful scenery of a Jiangnan water town. It's a little piece of heaven, full of charm and elegance. **Service:** Our butler was always on hand and incredibly responsive to all our requests.

The location is superb, boasting its own private pier and boats, allowing guests to leisurely stroll through the ancient town or enjoy a tranquil boat ride through the water village. It's home to the 'First Teahouse of Jiangnan,' offering VIP treatment exclusively for guests. You can sit by the lake, brew tea, and simply unwind, which is incredibly pleasant. Adorable cats and dogs roam the courtyard, and you can play chess or simply relax at your leisure, enjoying a sense of carefree comfort. This trip received full marks from all my family members. The experience was unique and heartwarming, just like the comfort and ease of coming home.

A hotel where every detail and experience is exceptional! It's one of the few hotels located on an old street, with a limited number of rooms, but each one is unique and full of character. The service, from arrival to departure, was consistently comfortable. The tea, snacks, and in-room amenities were all fantastic! Definitely worth experiencing.

Stunning hotel with perfect service. Our room was small, but as comfortable as possible for two people. Early check-in was a bonus. The location is convenient, the hotel is easy to find. We were very satisfied and sincerely recommend it to other travelers.

Stayed at Jingting B&B with my family during Qingming Festival, and it was absolutely amazing!! Whether it was the kind young lady who checked us in, Xiao Wang, or the boatman, everyone was incredibly patient, thoughtful, and attentive. The B&B's environment, the bedding, and the toiletries were all top-notch, seriously! We felt so comfortable and at ease. We even set off some small fireworks at night, making it a truly delightful stay! Hope to see you again soon~

This guesthouse is an old mansion with three courtyards and not many rooms. The ground floor rooms open directly onto the courtyard, so privacy isn't great. The upstairs rooms offer courtyard views from the windows, but you'll need to climb stairs (the guesthouse staff will help with luggage). We stayed in the Magnolia Pavilion (Yulan Ting), which is on the second floor, as is the Osmanthus room (Guizi). They share the same staircase and the doors are quite close. The room doors have old-fashioned brass bolt locks that take a little time to open and close. The room has underfloor heating and an electric blanket, and the shower pressure is excellent. The downsides are that both the toilet and shower areas are small, and the old wooden doors require a bit of a knack to open and close. When using the toilet, you have to place your feet on the threshold, and closing the door feels cramped, but leaving it open isn't very private. The guesthouse's fireside grilling is lovely; the owner even placed some traditional Chinese herbs nearby, sprinkling a handful onto the charcoal, apparently for health benefits. The complimentary boat ride is definitely worth it – we got our fill of boat trips over three days. Breakfast is available at any time until 8 PM, and there's also afternoon tea. Plus, they provide a 200 CNY dining credit daily, which can be used to order from the tea house menu. All the staff are very polite, whether it's the young men and women at the guesthouse or the ladies at the tea house; they make you feel like family.
