It's close to Queenstown, clean and convenient on foot.
It's easy to get around, and you can drink hot water, coffee, and tea for free at the Benteen machine on each floor of the hotel. Diman's room had a window, but it couldn't be opened, which was a bit inconvenient.

Really cozy place, clean and with activities available during the week!
I had a pod at the top and I didn't feel too safe though, going up the ladder all the time. But I'm not a tall person so it might depend on who goes up. 💪
The emplacement is wonderful, everything is close by. And though we do have a kitchenette, there's also a food court not too far which is great!

The up side: Location is very handy for town. Bed was comfortable. Reception staff very efficient and pleasant. The down sides: A very dated and impersonal bleak hallway to get to our room. Threadbare carpeting. Carpeting in our room very thin and rucked in areas. Bathroom very dated - wooden trim surround between bath and walls. Chipped bathroom door and rusting/chipped bath and sink. Scalding hot shower with temperamental tap/temperature gauge. Spluttering gushing water pouring out of the 'shower' like a big tap/water hydrant rather than a shower. Very unpleasant and felt quite dangerous. The bathroom sink was very low and I am just over 5ft tall and had to lean over. The toilet didn't flush very well. I was going to make a cup of tea before we left however the milk carton in the fridge was half full and had been snipped open and used. I therefore did not make a drink! I have emailed the general manager at the property but have had no response. I don't recommend this as a place to stay. I have stayed several times in the Scenic Suites part of this property without any hitches. I have lived locally for over ten years however wouldn't stay here again. This was a treat for my daughter and I and I feel very disappointed as the money spent on the room does not refect the quality and value received. Very pricey for what is on offer.

I stayed in a King Mountain View room, and while the room felt small it was made up for the fact it was new, modern, well designed and comfortable. The open plan entrance and lobby area felt welcoming. The buffet breakfast included in the room rate was essential and super convenient to fuel up before heading up to the mountain early every morning. And happy hour in the lobby in the evenings 5-7pm. It is 5 minute downhill walk to the start of town and a 9 minute walk to the NZ Ski bus. On the way back to the hotel there is one block of steep hill to walk up but it is only a two minute section. Even though it was only a short walk into town, after a full day on the snow, travelling back and fourth to the mountain, it was hard to get the energy up to walk into town for dinner each night, being cold and tired. I caught the bus from the airport to the hotel which was super easy and a quick 20 minute ride. The airport bus stop is right outside the terminal. I bought a Bee card on the bus for $5 and the trip was only $1 for adults and 0.75c for children. The bus stopped at Blue Peaks directly across the road from the hotel. And the return bus trip to airport was just as simple. Overall a great stay, with new modern facilities, a fairly central location and friendly staff.

We are very dissatisfied with our lake view suite. The building in front basically blocks our lake view. I don't know why we are on such a low floor, which results in a very poor view. The lake view suite we booked has this kind of lake view and it is amazing.

Cannot believe how good this place was!... We ended up getting a private 8 bed dorm for 6 of us, the room itself got a little hot, but the staff quickly brought us a fan which helped massively. Toilets and showers were so well kept and the lounge, washing machines and drying rooms made the whole process so easy. Kitchen is absolutely huge and perfect if you plan to prepare you food there. But the staff were something else, unbelievably friendly and one lady even lent me 50c out of her own purse for the lockers, completely didn't need to do it but wanted to help me out!... An absolute gem! I will DEFINITELY be staying here again in future.

Easy check in and very friendly staff at the reception. Kaycee shared the hotel amenities and the best way to get to town via a water taxi. Hotel room was huge and the bathroom and tub were a delight. The area of the hotel is pretty private and the views of the lake breathtaking!

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is a top notch hotel, just 5 minutes drive from the airport. If you want a quick rest from a long journey this one should quickly come to your rescue from travelling fatigue.
Everything about the hotel is good including friendly staff. The only drawback is its location which is a bit far from town or main activities. If you don’t have a car then surely you should be prepared to Ubar and Tax every time you want to go out.

Just realised I forgot to give a review last year . We stayed at Settlers for a few days at the beginning and end of our holiday last year and have stayed at this excellent motel before . It offers a lovely spacious and relaxing place to unwind . There are many homely touches . The owners are friendly, engaging and endeavour to make everyone’s stay thoroughly enjoyable. We are cat lovers so particularly enjoyed the visits of Charlie their cat. We have every intention of staying at Settlers when next in Arrowtown.

Excellent
TTrail52119469210Good location, comfy room with balcony with partial sea view. Had everything you needed but was a bit of a strange layout in the whole complex. To get to our room from reception we could get part of the way by a lift but then had to go outside twice to get to the right block. However, there was parking in the basement which had a direct lift up to the floor we were on. Like most places in Queenstown, there was a lot of building work going on & roadworks which made things a bit awkward but not impossible. Staff were friendly & helpful. There was a restaurant on site but we indulged in room service which was excellent.
GGuest UserThe decor reminded me of an Austin Powers movie - it was quirky and colorful. Our two rooms were quiet. The room amenities - coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sparkling water, cookies, popcorn were appreciated. It is a short walk to downtown Queenstown. Our travel company booked our rooms along with our tours so I can not speak to price as it was all included in our trip. I would use this hotel again as the beds were comfortable and the rooms large and clean. Just be aware that breakfast is not served until 8 am - we missed it two out of our three days since we had early tours. When we were able to use it on our last day the ham & cheese croissants were great.
GGuest UserI booked this hotel so we could be close to LUMA. I read some really mixed reviews and was a little nervous. But we had the BEST stay! Right from calling up as I made a mistake booking online, the man who I spoke to was so helpful, accommodating my large family group over three rooms . It was a really really busy weekend at the hotel with Luma on and kings birthday, but the staff were all so lovely and friendly despite being run off their feet, Highlights were the comfiest beds ever, the fab spa pool which was a hit with us adults and kids( you book a slot at reception), and the amazing lake front view from the lake front rooms. There was even a kids corner near reception with Xbox game, books and a few toys. The reviews online had been average for the breakfast. While it wasn’t ground-breaking, it was more than fine and the custard danish pastries were delicious! Overall, we had a fab stay and would definitely book again.
GGuest UserI stayed at the La Quinta Wyndham for 2 weeks in March of 2023. I didn't rent a car. The friendly staff went out of their way to teach me how to be able to travel around Queenstown New Zealand via the public transportation system. House keeping was excellent. They even put my dirty dishes in the dishwasher at times for me.
GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were a family group so we required three rooms. Everything was beautiful, comfortable and cosy. However the highlights were the evening meal(s) we had at the restaurant. We stayed three nights and had such a wonderful time the first night we dined at the hotel that we ended up eating there every night. The menu was comprehensive, our group ordered widely and we all enjoyed each dish. I particularly loved the pumpkin soup, but the steak and pork dishes as well as the hamburgers , were equally popular. Attention was paid to detail, and this was especially the case with the deserts and their superb presentation. The staff were cheerful and generous and made us feel like welcome guests.
LlilychangliThe room is very big, the children can sleep on the sofa, the parking space is downstairs, it takes about 10 minutes to get to the cruise ship dock. The location is very convenient. Most hotels in New Zealand are equipped with kitchens, which are convenient for dishes that suit your taste. . The front desk of the hotel will also tell you where there is a supermarket and buy Chinese food. It is very caring.
GGuest UserExperience the most captivating view of the mountains from the location of this hotel. Across the lake to the snowcapped mountains. The spacious balcony is inviting on a sunny day. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows superb. The general layout of our apartment was spacious and equipped with bath tub and all the necessities of a kitchen are available. When we stayed, renovations were underway and although noise was not a problem (long weekend) the reduction in parking spaces was awkward. The only negative I could mention was the bar food was pretty ordinary and staff a little inexperienced but otherwise totally worth the money .
GGuest User1. Location: It's convenient and great if you don't have a car as it's only 10 mins away from the city centre. There is a bus stop to go to the airport and city just next to the hotel. There's the Queenstown Trail track just down the road if you wish to have a pleasant walk along the lake. 2. Service: The guy who did our check-in did it like he was repeating a song that he was fed up with singing. Good for those in a hurry who like express check-in with 0 personalization or care but that was NOT a 5* check-in. 3. Room: Booked a standard room on Luxury Escapes, but I don't think the hotel should be on this ”high standard” booking platform. Our room was on the ground floor, so everybody could see us and our belongings. The room was old and small. We had very little room left being 2 people with 2 big luggages. One of the two glasses in the bathroom was still dirty from the previous guests. The blinds didn't work properly and we had to find tricks to close them so people wouldn't see us get changed or sleep! Your sleep might get disturbed if passersby are loud and drunk lol. The washing machine was literally just in front of our room door (a thin door) and woke us up super early one morning. The TV didn't work. Big lack of plugs outlets. Overall, if you're planning on spending the entire day outside and getting back to the room just for sleep then you're fine but don't expect anything fancy.
GGuest UserI stayed here two nights on a Riviera Tour of New Zealand. The hotel consists of different linked buildings. However it is very easy to get lost despite them giving you a map. Our rooms overlooked the gardens unfortunately and not the lake. The rooms were ok. A bit tired and in need of refurbishment. However the beds were comfortable with good quality bedding and pillows. The location of the Hotel is at the top of a very steep hill that leads into Queenstown. The walk up is taxing for older people so be aware. The hotel has the usual facilities of bar, restaurant gym and pool. I can't comment on the gym or pool as we did not have time to use it. The outlook from the hotel is over the lake towards the Remarkable Mountains one of the locations used in Lord of the Rings. It is an absolutely stunning place. Queenstown has lots to do. We took advantage of this. The breakfast was good with hot and cold buffet. Plenty of fresh fruit and pastries as well. A group of us ate in the bar on evening after a tour. Everyone enjoyed their food. Drinks were not to expensive either. The place is a pain to find your way round, so allow time for getting lost when meeting people.
DDonita HarryThe location is good, the kitchen is small, the lounge is big and is separated but connected with kitchen.
Was there for about 7 days, the bunk I was allocated had a broken rail, reported to the receptionist later but was not fixed and Noone updated me later or offered another bunk.
I hardly cooked in there due to the size of the kitchen and busyness.
The people in the dorm room would leave the lights off and sleep all day and all night which created bit of a trouble and due to the broken rail created noise when getting on ND off bunk upsetting French guy underneath my bunk.
It felt like lot of long termers are staying in the hostel and the guy who was underneath my bunk was working who worked late night and did not like when I turned the lights on before check out so I could pack. He was really abusive. I reported that later to reception so staffs told me that they will speak to the guy.
