Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort

We booked the rooftop spa room, and it was a unique experience to soak in the spa while watching the sunrise in the morning. The room facilities were all new, and the kitchen items seemed untouched. It faced the lake and snow-capped mountains directly.

We stayed at this hotel apartment for three nights during our South Island road trip in Queenstown. The two-bedroom, two-living room lake-view apartment (with two separate bathrooms) was excellent! Make sure to choose a unit on the 4th or 5th floor, as the 3rd floor's lake view might be partially obstructed by other buildings. The kitchen is fully equipped (though you'll need to bring your own seasonings). On the evening of April 18th, we were able to see both the aurora and the Milky Way right from our room's balcony – no need to go out and brave the cold, which was absolutely amazing and so worth it! The hotel parking was also very convenient; we paid 45 NZD for three days. However, it might be inconvenient if you don't have a car, as the hotel is located in a lower area off the main road, and the front desk is a bit of a walk from the other two apartment buildings. It's about 2.5 kilometers from Queenstown center.

Facilities: Fully equipped. Hygiene: Very clean, like a hotel apartment. Environment: Absolutely amazing, the balcony view is perfect for photos.

Fantastic experience! Booking a one-bedroom lake-view room felt like a steal, especially since I got a top-floor unit – the views were absolutely incredible. When checking in, there was a credit card issue, but the gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and allowed me to use cash as a deposit. Checkout was quick and efficient. A crucial tip: make sure to email ahead to reserve a parking spot. My mid-to-large SUV fit into the hotel's car park without any problem. Next time I'm in Queenstown, I'd love to stay longer!

Five-star rating, very satisfied with my stay. I contacted the hotel in advance to reserve a parking space, and they quickly confirmed the booking. I was given room 508A, which was very spacious and well-equipped, even including a dryer which isn't common in guesthouses. All other amenities were complete, and the view was particularly good. I highly recommend the one-bedroom lake view room!

The balcony view and room amenities were both excellent! It just so happened that the first snowfall of the year in Queenstown occurred on the night we checked in, and seeing the snow-capped mountains was absolutely stunning! This will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Queenstown.

Family trip, the room was clean and spacious, and the price was great too – less than HKD 6000 for two nights, highly recommended! The only downside is it's a bit far from Queenstown, but the hotel provides a shuttle bus.
