Very close to the Ginkakuji Temple, there is a small yard at the entrance, behind the philosophy road, it is very comfortable to take a walk in the morning. Breakfast is a pure Japanese breakfast delivered to the room outside, and the experience is good.

The Okura Okazaki Bettie is a beautifully designed modern hotel and was the perfect choice for our combined business/leisure visit to Kyoto. The location was reasonably close (short taxi ride) to excellent restaurants and sights in the culturally historic area east of the river. The guest room quality, cleanliness and comfort is excellent - finished to a high standard with large windows overlooking the garden below and temples beyond. Breakfast was served in the restaurant overlooking the hotel's own zen garden. The choice of either ”Kyoto”or ”American” breakfast was amazing, beautifully presented bento style, exceptionally fresh, plentiful and delicious. Indeed this was one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Finally the service level is exceptional. Both management and staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. Neither the most nor least expensive option in Kyoto - just simple great value. We look forward to returning next time.

The room for 3 people with 3 people, the tatami room is awesome, there are old railway tracks not far from the hotel, and there are cherry trees on the side. The cherry blossoms must be beautiful. A few steps from the subway station to the hotel, about 10-15 minutes. You can take a bus to Sensoji Temple at the station next to the zoo. The entire hotel is Japanese-style, with shoes off at the door. It was 10 o'clock before check-in time, so I left the luggage and went to the attractions first. I did n’t care about the luggage. When I returned, at 9 p.m., the clerk had already moved to the room. But I need to check out and store my luggage. It did n’t bring an umbrella when it rained. I super lend us and give them back when I have a good time. The service attitude is really nothing to say

Overall, amazing stay at the Miyako Westin Kyoto. Great location (quite central but not in the hectic district of Gion, at the foot of the hills on the east side of the side), stones throw to most restaurants / places of interests. Immediately got upgraded to suite when checking in (Platinum Bonvoy member), great service and hospitality. Suite was beautiful with balcony and great view, 2 member of the reception went up and escorted us to the suite. Food was amazing! Great breakfast spread with Japanese and Western options (the croissants are to die for, probably the best I've ever had!). They also have a Japanese Kaiseki option for a more authentic experience Concierge was super helpful. They managed to book us a table at a 1 michelin star Kaiseki restaurant with one day notice (keep in mind that most places are booked out 1-2 months in advance and the concierge had to call 15+ restaurants to find us a table) There was also an in-house ”Onsen” (Japanese bath house) with over 2000 sqm indoor and outdoor hot pool. Amazing place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city. Wonderful stay all in all and a definite stay again for future trips to Kyoto. Highly recommended!

The room is very spacious, and the beautiful bamboo forest scenery outside is all shown through the living room and bedroom windows. The quality of the complimentary toiletries is very good. I booked the hotel's teppanyaki in the evening, the beef set meal is super tender, and the Japanese service is attentive... Forgot, Previously, we also offered free afternoon tea in the executive lounge, but as a result, I was too exhausted to finish dinner... In short, Sukiya Annex was the best place to experience during my trip to Kyoto and Osaka. I will continue to come back next time.

Visited in September 2017. It is next to Okazaki Jinja shrine on the north side of Heian Jingu shrine. If the vicinity of Okazaki kaguroya is for travel purposes, it is just right, the bus stop is close, there are supermarkets and convenience stores, and it is convenient. However, if you try to go to other areas, you can use the bus to some extent, or if you are not a car user, you will be very difficult to move. The hotel itself is quite old, but the room is renewed little by little and the interior is brand new. It seemed to be a little chighug renovation, but it is not bad. It is good to feel both nostalgia and newness. The old-fashioned tourist hotel is comfortable with a relaxed construction, complete public bath. I went by car, but the parking lot is also on the back side of the building, and I would like to do some sightseeing after checking out, so I was very grateful to hear the question if I could stop. The staff was very friendly and I was able to spend a pleasant time. Is the main building mainly a Western-style room? I think the annex on the back side is mainly Japanese-style rooms. Speaking of which, it was a pity that the underground bath could be taken until midnight but not early in the morning. The location is good, about 10 minutes on foot to Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Subway Line, and you can walk to Nanzenji Temple and Eikando. I would like to use it again.

No convenience store nearby which is odd if you are in Japan. The nearest Family Mart is probably 300m away. The room is planned well. There is ample space to walk around despite having 3 luggages. There is a little tub in the bathroom and electronic toilet.

This wonderful place is nothing like the rustic version we stayed at in Yudenaka. It is more like an upscale boutiqe hotel. Only 3 floors, but very well kept. Our room was one of the largest we experienced during the 2 weeks we were in Japan. We chose to decline the meal package as we expected we would be out during the dinner time, and did not want to commit to breakfast, as my wife is a very fussy eater. A public bath for men and a bath for women is located in the basement. Exceptionally clean and properly set up in the shower area and bath area,. I chose to take advantage of the bath each evening. It is so incredibly relaxing. The bath is not heated by thermal springs but whatever they use to heat the building. The front desk staff could not be more helpful during our stay. When a snowstorm hit Kyoto, it meant the shipping company that we chose to forward our large suitcases was no longer viable since the company cancelled all trips that day. When we got up the next morning we discovered that the taxi cab companies were not answering the phones that morning(due to snow and ice). The front desk looked at my wife and I with 4 suitcases, my cane and walker and somehow just knew that we couldnt possibly get to the Kyoto station using public transit. The tall, thin gentleman behind the desk, went outside and ran at his fastest speed, 3 blocks to find a idle taxi, ran back to us, still checking out, took all of our luggage outside to the waiting taxi, assisted with the loading, ensuring that we were safely inside and on our way before he went back inside, hopefully to have a well earned cup of tea. The service is outstanding, the meal to my eyes looked incredible. The rooms have ample space for luggage, fully stocked bathrooms, Yukatas for wearing to the bath and 2 bottles of water daily. They also include a small refrigerator. If I should be so fortunate to visit Japan again in my lifetime, this will be my must stay hotel. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH CHION-IN WAJUN KAIKAN!!! EXCELLENT STAFF AND OUTSTANING SERVICE. THANK YOU SO MJCH FOR HELPING MAKE THIS DREAM VACATION SO SPECIAL!!!

All the drinks in the refrigerator in the room are free, and you can also drink alcohol, so I got it early. We had dinner at Junsho, which is very close to the street. I have nothing but gratitude for the kind owner. This hotel did not have excessive service, so it was easy to stay and it was good. I had business at the nearest Kumano Wakaoji Shrine, but it was a very convenient hotel at a close distance. The bath and kitchen were clean and beautiful. However, since there is no TV in the room, it was good to bring a portable radio in advance. A few minutes' walk away is the Datsukus Jodoji store directly across from the supermarket Fresco, and a few minutes' walk to the Family Mart store. I bought a lunch box for two meals in the morning and evening at Fresco and stayed there for several nights. It is a good hotel that is convenient, cheap, and easy to stay in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto. I would like to stay again.
