The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Umekoji

Great location, 1 stop away from Kyoto central station. Easy to walk (20mins), train or cab into town. Our Superior Twin Room was generously sized with excellent amenities. Our room came with a very nice shower and a deep bath. The hotel Public hot bath was lovely too. Family mart conveniently located downstairs. The downstairs restaurant puts on an AMAZING buffet breakfast. Well worth the JPY$22,000 (AU$22). Be aware: - Coin operated laundry is VERY slow. There is often a queue to wait for a machine. Inconsiderate guests leave their laundry finished in the machine, keeping it occupied. Machine drying takes hours. Go to a laundromat in town if you prefer. The front desk can change notes/coins if needed. - We were directed to check via an electronic kiosk next to the fully staffed front counter, without any other customers in sight. This took a while checking into 2 rooms. Annoying after a long travel, but not a deal-breaker. - Breakfast vouchers can be purchased during checkin, but they are for a single meal only, not for the duration of your stay. You need to buy one voucher per meal that you eat in the restaurant.

Spacious, facilitated modern hotel. Absolutely loved it and recommend this place to everyone 😍

Hotel is one local train stop away from Kyoto station. Walking distance is half an hour. Facilities are ok. There are windows which are internal facing in the rooms. Maybe not this place next time.

I have stayed in this hotel for 3 times already. The location is great. It is next to the JR station and metro station. There are different types of food around this hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I have family trip to Tokyo or Yokohama

Hotel location is just a stop away from kyoto station Its "walkable" distance to kyoto station if you want Kyoto aquarium is just next to the hotel Below the hotel there is family mart and is linked within the hotel lobby TV programs are boring and very very limited Two bottles of drinkkng water daily via housekeeping Vending machines everywhere Hotel is clean and modern looking So far so good within kyoto

We had a good stay at this hotel. It’s 2 min walk from the station and 1 stop away from Kyoto station, so it was very convenient. There’s Starbucks and a lawson (?) below the hotel, and a 7-11 about 3 mins walk away. There was daily housekeeping (and they provided bottles of water everyday) and it was nice to come back to a clean room at the end of a tiring day. They used self check in/check out system which is very good as well. Plus point is that they have a smart tv too so we could cast Netflix and YouTube everyday!! Love it, we’ll return :)

Hotel is super clean n close to JR station, only 1 minute walk. Staff is friendly. BF is not super good but acceptable.

This hotel is really good for its location and the food provides a diversity of local food and western styles. The staff are very friendly and also help me to find something to go around and we will come back here again when I visit you next time.
