GOOD NATURE HOTEL KYOTO

This was my first time staying in such a spacious room in Japan, and the front desk even upgraded me to a suite. The location is absolutely fantastic; you can walk directly to Takashimaya from the 3rd floor. Plus, the hotel's first, second, and third floors have their own supermarket, restaurants, and various shops. I had read in guides that there was no laundry room, but to my pleasant surprise, there was one on the 3rd floor! Unlike other hotel laundries, this one accepts WeChat Pay directly without needing coins – so thoughtful and convenient. Seriously amazing! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

The hotel is cozy and clean, with a lovely natural essential oil scent upon entry. The service is warm and attentive. A special thanks to Mr. Li, the front desk duty manager, who was a great help! He assisted me in retrieving important items I'd left at my previous hotel and arranged for them to be sent to my next destination. Much appreciated!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to Takashimaya. The entire Good Nature complex isn't just a hotel; it also features an organic supermarket on the first floor, restaurants on the second, and artisan shops on the third. Downstairs, there's a burger joint, and the famous Menya Yukou ramen shop is also on the ground floor. Across the street is the well-known sukiyaki restaurant I visited last time. Everything is easily accessible and close by. I booked a triple room, and the two main beds could be pushed together. The third bed, honestly, felt a bit wasted. The room wasn't huge, but it was sufficient. A heads-up: this is an eco-friendly hotel, so they don't provide toothbrushes, razors, or kids' toiletries. You can purchase them from the hotel if needed. The only downsides were the noise from being street-facing and the significant gaps in the room curtains, which meant the room got bright very early in the summer. Other than that, everything was great. The hotel's breakfast restaurant was also good; considering the price, they put a lot of effort into the breakfast. Recommended.

The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes, claiming it's for environmental reasons, but you can buy them... which is pretty silly. How many people bring their own toothbrushes when traveling and staying in hotels? They only offer basic amenities, but the room itself is quite spacious. I've stayed in two hotels in Kyoto, and this location is by far the best. Takashimaya is right downstairs, and there are shops on every street for blocks around. The location truly can't be beaten.

The location is incredibly convenient for both transportation and shopping. There's a subway and bus stop right nearby, and you can access Takashimaya directly from the third floor. Plus, the joy of being able to walk to Kamogawa in just five minutes is unbeatable! It's super easy to go out and explore, eat, and shop every day – perfect for anyone who likes convenience!

The hotel truly embodies the 'good nature' concept, focusing on environmental friendliness and natural elements. The rooms are very clean and come with refreshments and tea sets. The location is super convenient, directly connected to Takashimaya, making dining and shopping a breeze. However, the hotel elevator has a slight issue; it always stops on the fourth floor, regardless of direction or whether anyone is there, which really slows things down.

Anyone visiting Kyoto should be familiar with this hotel because it's located right in the heart of the shopping district, which is incredibly convenient. The location is excellent; you step right out to Takashimaya, and there's even a direct connection from the hotel's third floor! The hotel also boasts a cafe, a supermarket, and a gym... perfect for young travelers! The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the bathroom is also very roomy.
