Hotels near JR Momoyama Station, Kyoto

This hotel has perfect loaction at Kyoto station, closed to Kintetsu Nara line entrance/exit, only 3-4 mins walk. When we took Metro subway, then walked another 3-4 mins. JR was also convenient, closer than subway station. Worth the price for the transportation convenience. Hotel is new, room is clean and spacious enough to fit 3 guests as described in hotel pictures. Self Check-in & out machine available, but staffs are friendly and ready to help if needed.

Good value for money and exactly as you see on their pictures. Feels renovated fairly recently. Clean and service is great. Staff speaks good English. Location wise is v near Kyoto Station and about 30min walk to Nishiki market. Ao if you want to stay closer to touristic areas take this into account.

The location is difficult to find, and there is no attached parking space, but there are many paid parking lots nearby, and there are also supermarkets nearby. The house is very clean and you can ask them to pick up any items you need.

The photos both here and on booking do not do this hotel justice. It was so much more pretty. I stayed in much more expensive ones in Kyoto and yet I will 100% return here. The rooms are so beautiful, clean, cozy and cute, especially the tatami/japanese style ones. The bathroom was beautiful, with a separate toilet and separate bath and shower (and everything looking brand new). The staff is very kind and the location is simply perfect (and I had a great veiw of Gion from my window).

Good hotel. It’s new. Great location. Just few minutes away from Kyoto Kawaramachi station. Walking distance to shopping district and Nishiki market. Also walkable to Gion area. Totally recommended

Always had an amazing stay at the Tokyu Stay hotel chain. Loved the location of Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sakaiza (Shijo Kawaramachi area), it is located centrally at Kyoto downtown and is walking distance to Gion and Nishiki Market. The room was clean and decent size for a deluxe double room (can fit 2 open carry-on suitcase no problem), and I just absolutely adore their in-room 2-in-1 washer+dryer. Each load takes at least 3.5-4 hrs to complete the entire cycle of washing and drying. Thank you very much for the hospitality, will stay again definitely. Great Location. Fabulous location with bus stops to most major destinations right out front. While rooms are small, they are well designed. Staff was friendly & helpful. I enjoyed Kyoto & Ibis Styles so much, I added 2 more nights.

Wonderful location no matter for taking public transportation or driving (3 parking spaces in front of hotel only but it is easy to find other parking nearby). Actually the location is not far from some historical sites/sightseeing places. Excellent Japanese breakfast and the environment is enjoyable. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is not big but already good enough. It is clean and comfortable. The experience gave me a good impression of Tokyu stay. I will try other hotels under same group in next trip.

From the moment we arrived at Roku Kyoto, we felt completely taken care of. From the warm greetings we received as we got out of the taxi to the genuine smiles and hospitality given to us at Reception. There is a pride that exudes from everyone at Roku Kyoto, and for good reason. It is an absolutely extraordinary hotel. But it's not just the beautiful accommodations and the incredibly thoughtful design throughout the property. Nor is it just the sumptuous food stunningly presented at every meal. It is the people who work there and represent the true heart and soul of what the Roku Kyoto experience is all about. My wife and I have traveled all around the globe and we have rarely encountered such a level of excellence. The architectural design, the interior design, the facilities and the grounds are all stunning. In fact, the photos from their website do not do it justice. The room we had on the 4th floor was gorgeous and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed we have ever encountered (and we travel often!). The tranquility, the views, the attention to detail throughout the hotel are are not just glorious but absolutely inspiring. The gorgeous pool is filled with water from the natural hot springs that abound in that area of Kyoto. It is a sumptuous experience to swim in that very special pool. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was the best we encountered in Japan. The food was beautifully prepared , the choices were extensive and stunningly displayed and the service was impeccable. In fact, service is another thing that sets this extraordinary hotel apart. It's not just well done, there is a pride and a joy that emanates from every member of the staff, no matter what their position. It's what gives this place true heart and soul and it's what elevates the experience. We will never forget our stay at Roku Kyoto and cannot wait to return! We would like to especially thank Kayo Naskagawa. Her attention to detail, her inherent ability to go the extra mile for a guest. Her sweetness and ease. Her ability to listen and use that information to heighten the Roku experience for a guest. Kayo, for us, represents everything we love about Roku Kyoto and why we cannot wait to return.
