The hotel service is good, offering afternoon tea and evening beer with snacks. You can also visit another Richmond Hotel in Kyoto. The location is convenient, not far from the station. I've stayed here multiple times and am very satisfied with this hotel.

The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, just a 10-minute walk away, making transportation incredibly convenient. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay. When we returned on a rainy day, they even offered dry towels, which was a very thoughtful touch. The food was excellent, and the breakfast spread was very generous. The surroundings are beautiful, and the hotel lobby is also fantastic. In the afternoon, you can even book a session to make handmade wind chimes.

While I usually opted for traditional Japanese-style rooms whenever I visited Kyoto, this was my first time staying in a hotel. After comparing many places, I decided on the Richmond. The ambiance was excellent. Complimentary disposable toiletries are available for self-service in the lobby, and there's a daily complimentary afternoon tea with ice cream and wagashi (Japanese sweets). In the evenings, you can also enjoy a casual drink with friends. Its proximity to Kyoto Station makes getting around incredibly convenient. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

Enjoyed the racing of laundry machines daily while I was there, there are always many people waiting to use it. Anyway, generally a very cosy hotel. The rooms are not big, but not as small as Tokyo’s same price point. Breakfast menu doesn’t change, except for their Kyoto dessert of the day. Maybe they do change their menu, but at least not that I know of, I was there for a total of 5 days P.s: There’s a clam ramen stall just beside the hotel that’s always queueing. Pls don’t queue, it’s really not fantastic. If the queue is less than 5 people, that means it will probable be 30-40mins, you can give it a try. Otherwise, don’t bother. It’s not worth it.

Not far to the station. Staff are friendly. Nice room. Impressed by the welcome drink by the hotel. There is a popular ramen shop just beside the hotel, great taste.

The room was spotless. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and we were especially grateful for a staff member who spoke excellent Chinese. The hotel's location directly opposite the station made it incredibly convenient for getting around. They offered a wide range of complimentary toiletries in the lobby, and the face masks were a particularly nice touch!
