The location is a big plus, right by Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit and the airport limousine bus stop. I booked a 24-sqm king room, which was very spacious and I loved the separate toilet, shower, and sink. However, the table by the sofa in the room was a bit disappointing and looked quite cheap, like something from a rental apartment. Breakfast was just okay, enough to fill you up. Both mornings I stayed, the elevators were incredibly crowded at 9 AM, despite there being five of them – they didn't seem very efficient. The front desk staff just directed us to the self-service machines to check in, but then when Westerners arrived, they greeted them and helped them personally. I wonder if it was intentional discrimination. A downside is that there's no complimentary water in the room! You have to buy it yourself at the 7-Eleven on the first floor. All the disposable amenities are also for self-collection on the first floor, and you have to ask the front desk for kids' slippers and toothbrushes.
