Hotels near St. Gregory The Lusarovich Church in Istanbul

It's almost close to everything. Room looks exactly like the pictures. Service very nice. Everything was actually great, except that the room was on the street side and you could hear a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but it wasn't a problem. Everything was good.. It's plenty for people who don't stay in the room all the time..

My wife and I enjoyed our week-long stay in the Soul Hotel in Istanbul in January 2023. We found a “home” there and got treated like “VIPs”. (I’m confident that EVERY Soul Hotel guest likely receives VIP TREATMENT, though.) Normally, I would not post a review because leaving a SUPER review has the potential to make it harder for me to find availability for my own stay. However, I see that recently there was posted a crazy review. People need to know that that review is baloney, and I don't believe one single word of it, and neither should you! I’m American and have stayed in hotels throughout the world, so I am quite experienced to say that there is a combination of factors that makes the Soul hotel one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in anywhere. The soul hotel is IMMACULATE. Not only is it clean, but it is also SAFE; the temperature controls in the room ALL work perfectly; the water pressure is SUPER; it is QUIET; the sheets and towels are new and high quality; it has a TERRIFIC breakfast; it’s a beautifully designed hotel with a lovely combination of antique and modern (see the photos)—BUT… incredibly----these are not even the best feature. THE BEST feature of the hotel is: its STAFF. They are ALL GOOD PEOPLE. The staff members really CARE about guests. They ALL speak English quite well and most speak other languages, too! They are trustworthy, knowledgeable, and helpful. When you combine all these elements together, it makes for a truly memorable experience that is even reasonably priced(!) On top of the pricing, the design, the excellent staff, the great food and immaculate cleanliness, THEN there's the LOCATION. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the most charming part of Istanbul. There are antique shops and art galleries and coffee houses all around, and it’s even around the corner from the #1 Hammam Spa in Istanbul. It’s also located about 7 minutes walking distance from Istiklal Street, the major street where all the big shops are. There’s simply no better accommodations to be had in Istanbul. I invested an huge amount of time researching and vetting various hotels before choosing the Soul Hotel, and I chose entirely correctly. So, for free, you now get to benefit of all my investigations and experience, and I get to worry that I’ll have to fight you in the future for my own reservations. I wrote this because I couldn't ignore the reputation of this really fine establishment being attacked by crazy lies. Soul Hotel staff give their best for guests, and I feel obliged to stand-up against any bad things implied about this hotel. Soul Hotel is a CLASS ACT all the way.

Смешанные впечатления. Наверное если смотреть в целом по отелям Стамбула он не плохой за свою цену, но я бывал в отелях куда лучше и за более деловую цену. В номере убирались каждый день, смена белья раз в неделю, меня смутил тот факт что когда у нас поменяли белье мне на подушки забыли надеть наволочки, так же не было пододеяльника. Очень мало места в номере, прям катастрофически. Ванная комната меня удивило что была сломана лейка у душа и держатель лейки, в душе очень сильно пахло канализацией. Так же вопрос встал к входной двери в номер, она самая дешёвая межкомнатная дверь и нет шумоизоляции. Было слышно как людей который шли в свои номера, кашляли, чихали и разговаривали (неужели так трудно установить нормальные двери). Уборка в номере очень поверхностная, пыльные подоконники и под ними тоже много пыли. Душевая кабина не убиралась даже перед заселением. Поэтому 3 из 5 не самый плохой отель в Стамбуле в хорошем районе в пешей доступности много достопримечательностей. ps: ещё меня взбесил выключатель в районе головы и я постоянно случайно его включал ночью...

Best hotel in the best place

the reception staff was exceptional especially Tunc, as for the housekeeping i believe they are not as professional as they should be since our kettle was full of nescafe when we checked in. luckily Tunc was kind and made sure we got a clean one :)

I have been here at the hostel for a week. The service is very nice and they help where they can. I had a room change without problems and these are clean and relatively quietly located to a side street. The bakery faces one in the morning with the smell of fresh bread ;) However, no loud supply. Breakfast is nice, marmelade, honey, some vegetables and tea, water or coffee. It is worth mentioning that the staff members clean every day. Only in the bathroom is a hook to hang up and protect his stuff and cultural bags from wet :D

Vita Suites has made us pay a much higher price than that shown on the official page of the hotel, which we had the surprise to discover immediately installed in the room, by connecting to the internet. We complained to the receptionist, and we were opposed with complete disrespect and a categorical refusal to reimburse the differences. In view of the price, we considered the breakfast very low: the lowest quality bread, charcuterie and cheese that we would have had in the worst in the cheapest pension. We are not recommending this hotel that does not reflect the sense of hosting and the art of living in Turkey (the country where we have lived for more than two years). Vita Suites charged us a much higher price than the one showed on the official hotel page, which we were surprised to find as soon as we were installed in our room, by connecting to the internet. We complained to the front desk, and were offered complete contempt and an absolute refusal to reimburse the difference. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. We absolutely do not recommend this hotel, which in no way reflects the sense of Turkish hospitality and the art of living (country where we have lived for more than two years).

It has a perfect location. Near everywhere on the peninsula. *** meat is convenient for walking. The design and cleaning of the rooms was very beautiful. The room service is fast and food is delicious. Breakfast offering and variety was rich. It's about to see you at the next accommodation.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Pluses: - comfortable big rooms; - perfect location - next to Istiklal famous street and Taksim square is just 10 minutes walk; a lot of restaurants, shops around; 5 minutes walk to Galata tower; - very good service; - ok breakfast (selection could be better) - but service is amazing. Attentive and fast. Special thanks to Eren - surprised with very good service. Please keep him. - 18th floor have amazing restaurant with city view; - ok small gym; - nice outdoor pool. Minuses: - amenties sometimes have some issues - like windows lockers, lights. Before rooms are given to clients - would recommend to check. In general would recommend and i would be back.
