Business trip we had a meeting there. Modern hotel in great locations. Nearby alot of dinning and shopping. No indoor pool. Sleeping rooms modern and they offer free bottled water and room was spacious, modern and comfy. Good night sleep and they kept keurig k cups stocked In thr room.
Consuela and Ms. Barbra where phenomenal at my interaction at check in and as I came and went. Customer service is always my selling point when I travel. So kudos to those two ladies who were the first point of contact entering the building. Now, yes this building is a little old but it is well kept. My room was very tidy and neat. And all of my amenities were available to me. I did not have any problems while I was in the building. Initially the app chose a room for me on the first floor and I decided to move because I did not want to be near the gym. Consuelo was very helpful in getting me to a room that was away from the gym. I did not catch her name but the housekeeping staff came to service my room was very friendly and helpful. And that was very refreshing. Very pleasant to talk to as well. Overall there was a very good stay.
We had nothing but problems with our stay. Problems that could have been rectified by an attentive staff, but most of the staff was dismissive and some down right rude. Room was stocked barely for a 1 night stay. We were here for 7 days. 2 towels, 1 wash cloth, no baking pan for the oven. Shower curtain was too short so water got all over the floor every time you took a shower. We asked for an extra blanket and pillow for the pull out couch. Had to ask 3 days in a row to get it. No hair dryer in the room. Asked for this over multiple days and NEVER received it. Asked for more than 1 bottle of the sample size shampoo and conditioner we were provided (we were here for 7 days). We were told they were out (?). No soap in the room (this was provided upon request. We were provided with extra towels when we asked. No housekeeping (although this may have been due to Covid, I am not sure). Our keys stopped working on a daily basis. Had to go down to get the reactivated. Believe it or not, we are not usually complainers, and can go with the flow. What got us was the attitude from the staff. They acted put out every time we asked about something. Some were rude. One lady explained how to not deactivate a key. We stay in hotels all the time, we knew how to not deactivate the keys. When we told her this, she literally repeated her lecture on how to not deactivate keys. One front desk person literally rolled his eyes at my traveling companion when she asked where to pay for stuff from the market. Finally on Day 4 we got a gentleman that seemed to know how to do customer service. He was the one (out of about 4) front desk associates that was friendly. He didn't solve our problems, but he did listen with some empathy. He told us they didn't have hair dryers (fine, thats not his fault). Also told us there was a problem with the keying system and they were working on it. Again, fine. It happens. He didn't act like its our fault, especially if its happening to others too. Lets see, what else.......One elevator broke, Fixed mid week, then other elevator broke. Pool closed down end of week (I'm sure they will say due to covid)- we specifically called and asked before we booked if pool was open, No mention that they were thinking about shutting it down. Found old pop cans under bed from previous guest. Couldn't sleep one night because room above us sounded like they were having a wrestling match above us. We complained to Marriott and got a standard response that the hotel GM would call us. Not surprisingly, we are still waiting on that phone call. I did give a star for the people at the breakfast area. They were fantastic. DJ on the weekend and a young man during the week. Friendly, out going. Perhaps you should consider putting them on the front desk because they are way better at customer service than your front desk employees. Also wish I would have gotten the one young man's name at the front desk. He always dressed in a 3 piece suit. He was fantastic.

The first room we were given smelled of **** and vomit in the bathroom, we told the front desk and said that other guests have complained as well so they gave us a different room. This was great until we went into the bathroom to find a used, dirty towel covered in someone’s personal hair. Disgusting. We couldn’t bathe our baby because we didn’t feel comfortable not knowing if the bathroom or even hotel room was properly cleaned. This was extremely upsetting because we had a long day of driving and expect at least a clean room for paying for $200 for one night. Can’t believe it. We told the front desk and they just took note of it and did nothing. Just extremely upset we paid over $200 for a room that was not clean. Quite disturbed by this first experience at a best western hotel. Also to add we were waken up by 2 false fire alarms. Which is not ideal with a baby in the middle of 2 long drive days. And to not receive any compensation for 3 things that are not mild mistakes. Just upset by this whole thing.

This motel is probably one of the oldest and most run down motels in Jackson. Like all the other motels here it's owned and run by foreigners that only care about the money they make. Housekeeping is poor because it's probably one of the owners doing it and they don't care or they won't buy the cleaning products needed to do the job right. The place should be condemned.

Excellent
I usually only give a 5 if the staff went up and beyond expectations, or the room is better than expected. This hotel met both of the requirements. It could use better reading light by the couch but it was OK for one person. The desk lamp was good as were the bed lamps. There were plenty of 120v and USB plugs. Bathroom lights very good. I liked the shower, it had a door, so many ”modern” rooms have a half open shower, drafty and the floor gets wet. I'm not a fan of body wash, just a personal thing. Good bed. Very nice room.
Pool was green. TV kept popping up windows. Booked for the Pool but alas, unusable. Staff was nice. Didn't check out Breakfast but my kid did and enjoyed the muffins but most likely due to his disappointment in NOT being able to go swimming which is the ONLY reason we booked this hotel.
Definitely the worst experience ever with this Inn. The bathroom has no lock. You go in and no privacy at all. People you stay with can see you sitting in the toilet or even in the shower. Custodians come in even when you tell them not to. We woke up in the morning getting ready for our day and we saw them outside and told them not to come in we're fine. Next thing you see it's them walking inside the bathroom and take out the dirty towels. Yes, just like that they're in and out the room a couple times while we were changing. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. I went down to the lobby to make phone calls and the guy in the front desk told me to go in my room no hanging out in the lobby. He didn't even say it nicely. He said it as if I'm a homeless man coming into the Inn. What the hell! Why do you guys even have lobby here for. To be honest, if only there were Marriott hotel close by here, we would definitely go there instead of this bad smell Inn. At the elevator and hallway, it smells so bad. I do not recommend this Inn for anyone at all unless if you struggle financially then you can endure this place for a day or so.
The girl at front desk was very pleasant she seemed to have hard time securing reservation. Booked king bed smoking and after got key there was no place to park except in back of building. There was no elevator and she couldn’t put us in first floor so she did change us to a room in back of building but when we dragged everything up stairs and opened room it stunk I gagged could not breathe. She smiled and said she give us refund
I debated whether to rare a 1 or 2, but we already know Days Inn is economy lodging brand. Loius at check in was very friendly and helpful, even offering help with luggage. The room was clean for the most part, but it is a very old and worn property. I had an upstairs room and while walking up the decaying concrete stairs, I was half worried I'd stumble - they aren't even and partially crumbling. In the room, it is just worn. Holes where old fixtures were replaced. I had to chuckle that someone cut a heart in the wallpaper. At bedtime, there was only a flat sheet n ruffled top sheet, no blanket. Glad I travel with my own blanket and pillow, as the pillows were beyond flat. Next morning when to check out n grab something for breakfast - dint expect much. White bread, mini powdered donuts n two kinds of cereal. Not even what I'd call a continental breakfast. I'm surprised they meet Days Inn standards. If you just need a bed for a night or two, it would be OK. Don't expect much.
