The hotel's location might be in an older part of the city? It's right next to a subway station, but as soon as you step out of the hotel, it feels a bit chaotic. I couldn't find any decent restaurants within walking distance, and I wasn't brave enough to try the street food. There are no restaurants in the subway station either, just a very small convenience store where I bought some milk. The hotel's in-house restaurant has a nice ambiance, and while the selection is a bit limited, the food quality is very fresh and excellent!

A true 5-star hotel with 6-star service! From the moment I stepped out of the car until check-out, everything was exceptional. The concierge who carried my bags was extremely polite (sadly, I forgot his name). The reception team—the gentleman and the lady in red—were welcoming and professional. Special thanks to Mbak Yeni from the breakfast area. She is truly professional and made me feel genuinely welcome. I loved her attitude, and our conversations really made my mornings brighter 😊 I would also like to appreciate the team behind the birthday surprise arrangement. I’m not sure who was responsible, but the hotel should definitely give credit to them—it was a wonderful touch. Not to forget the housekeeping team for keeping the room spotless throughout my stay. Well done to everyone who made my stay so incredible. I will definitely return to this hotel whenever I visit Jakarta. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Only the breakfast spread is super. The rooms are old and dark, I was being locked out of my room because the door lock battery ran out, but I was asked to check out asap. I was there to run an event, agreed to check the event room at 9pm but nothing was prepared. Next day morning it is prepared but the coffee tea and the food spread was so limited, its not even 5 star standard. I will never go back there for events

The hotel is conveniently located near the exhibition center, just a five-minute drive away, making it perfect for business travelers or those attending an exhibition. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean. Additionally, it's very close to the city center with excellent transport links. Definitely recommend!

This hotel is decent, though the facilities are a bit dated. The room was spacious enough and quite clean. It was a bit noisy being by the road, but it was bearable. The bedding was a bit odd, with two sheets sandwiching a blanket. The front desk service was excellent, and breakfast was good too. There's a Sarinah shopping center nearby, about a 10-15 minute walk, which is actually faster than driving given Jakarta's constant traffic jams. It's also very close to the museum and Independence Square.

There are also many hotels and restaurants nearby, which is quite convenient for business travel. I particularly liked two things: 1. The high floor offers great views, and the night view is stunning. 2. The hotel is very clean and tidy, and there's a desk available for working.

What we liked was the location and the food. We needed to visit the Indonesian Government office in Jakarta and this hotel was right there. The price of the rooms is good. The pool is nice and the outdoor pool area also is beautiful. What we didn't like was the road noise. Food at this hotel is good fresh quality but expensive.

A legendary hotel which provides excellent service. Good property at the heart of South Jakarta, delicious food, extraordinary hospitality from the staffs. Would’ve been nice if the room temperature can be easily adjusted to warmer level, my baby shivered although the AC has been turned off. The issue then solved by the engineering staff.

This is the second time I stay at this hotel. My first experience was great, but the second one was not so great. During my stay, the bathroom smelled like cigarette although I was on a non-smoking floor. Also, the noise from the other room really disturbed my sleep. Cleanliness was rather poor since there were many stains on the beddings and walls. The shower did not spray really well when I turned it to the left for hot water, so I had to be really patient when taking a shower. However, the service of the receptionist was great. They were polite. You can request them to keep your baggage before you check in as well as after you check out. Location was great. Near Glodok, National Museum, Bakmi GM, etc.

The location is a big plus. Set right in the heart of the city, next to Grand Indonesia and Thamrin City Mall, it’s extremely convenient, especially for anyone who enjoys shopping or wants everything within walking distance. Arrival was pleasant, with a warm welcome from the staff. They were very helpful and consistently courteous, with special attention shown to senior citizens, which was appreciated. We booked a two bedroom apartment, which was very spacious and practical. The unit is well equipped for longer stays, with a washing machine, water dispenser, microwave, and a full set of kitchen utensils, making it easy to manage daily routines. The decor, however, feels a bit dated, and I did notice a slight odour, likely from furniture that could use a deeper clean. The bedding was acceptable. The mattress was comfortable enough, but the pillows were too soft for my liking and didn’t provide much support. The bathroom experience was much better. The shower was excellent with good water pressure and reliable hot water. Toiletries were complete and pleasantly scented, with a spa like aromatherapy feel. One downside was the bath towel, which felt worn out and unusually small, closer to the size of a bath mat than a proper towel. Breakfast was decent but not extensive. It covered the basics and was sufficient, though nothing particularly memorable. Overall, Ascott Jakarta works well for longer stays with family, mainly due to its spacious apartments and unbeatable central location. With some updates to furnishings and linens, the stay could be significantly improved.

Room and stay here was overall pleasant. Has a small mall in the same building with eateries and convenience store which is great. Realized I left an item behind in the room 3mins after getting into the taxi and after checkout. Quickly U-turned back and front desk staff Aurora helped me back up to the room to retrieve the left behind item.
