I stayed in the Grand city Hall Medan for 4 nights, Had a bad experience that I ever had. We book 2 apartments. On the 2nd night, 4 people came to my husband apartment and straight to his bedroom, He's shocked wake up suddenly without knowing anything. It's said they open the wrong apartment But How ??
We move forward to the management straight away, and they move us to the suite rooms instead. The management acting fast to solve the problem. But still as a guests for our safety we are still shocked. Imagined 4 people came to your room during nigh time while you are sleep and any thing could happen.From89 AZN

We stayed at JW Marriott Medan for several days to allow our elderly grandmother to rest and recover following her leg surgery. While the purpose of our visit wasn’t leisure in the usual sense, the experience highlighted what truly defines a great hotel: not just its facilities, but the service culture behind it.
From the outset, our stay involved a number of special arrangements, from shifting booking dates, providing in-room breakfast service as our grandmother couldn’t access the restaurant, and attending to several ad-hoc requests. Across every touchpoint - reservations, front desk, concierge, lobby ambassadors, housekeeping, and the restaurant team , the response was consistently attentive, flexible, and genuinely warm.
What impressed us most was not a single interaction, but the consistency across departments. It reflects a deeply embedded service culture and strong leadership, where standards of care are clearly communicated and upheld by the entire team. This is what transforms a hotel from simply offering well-maintained rooms and branded facilities into delivering a personalised guest experience marked by grace, efficiency, and empathy. Simply the best hotel in Medan!

Room is huge and super clean. Toilet come with bathtub and shower in different cubicle. Absolutely posh. The breakfast is above and beyond. I really enjoy the food as the have so many different varieties and the breakfast also serve on the top floor where the view of the surrounding of medan is part of the meal. Just breathtaking! I would come to this hotel if i were to visit medan in near future!From89 AZN

I booked Hotel Aryaduta Medan through Trip.com and the whole process was smooth and hassle free. The booking was easy, the price offered was more competitive compared to other platforms, and the confirmation was instant. During check-in, there were no issues at all.
Hotel Aryaduta Medan is conveniently located in the city center, very close to shopping malls and restaurants. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of both local and international options. The swimming pool and other facilities were also great for families.

This was my 6th nights stay with separate subsequent bookings due to unknown situation of our mum's conditions who was in nearby hospital. Everything of this hotel was good and convenient, especially the staffs. Not using the other facilities in the hotel at all apart from sleeping and breakfast.From76 AZN

The hotel isn’t in a bad location close to shopping mall. The only bad thing is that when I checked in, they gave me a smoking room and I requested a non-smoking room, but I did check in very late early hours in the morning but did change my room on my request. I was disappointed. I did ask reception if I had breakfast included, which I did booked and she said no and when I checked again on my second night, I did have breakfast. I was disappointed. Location is very strategic, right in the middle of the city. The building is quite old, more than 40 years old. They've done some renovation but it is noticeably old. Lobby got no aircon when I arrived. The shower was leaking a bit. But my room was clean and it was big. It got a big window with view to the street. Not bad for the price that I was paying.From44 AZN
