Hot Springs Hotels in Jilin, China

The hotel's location is a bit remote, but that's typical for hot spring hotels. I communicated with the front desk a few days before arrival. I sent them my high-speed rail information and scheduled a pickup at Changbaishan Station. So, despite the somewhat remote location, the hotel's shuttle service was excellent. The front desk staff were also very good. When I arrived, I had intended for the front desk to book a rafting trip for me, but it turned out the hotel's contract with the rafting company had expired, so we had to sort it out ourselves. (I had inquired with the front desk a week prior, and they said it could be arranged there. I was surprised to find upon arrival that the hotel had just canceled its contract with the rafting company.) I want to be clear, I'm not blaming the hotel; it was just bad luck. I do hope the hotel can continue to assist out-of-towners in the future, as foreigners often face difficulties booking things in China without local phone numbers. I wanted to see Tianchi Lake, but it was closed all three days I was there. Rafting was also out. So, I ended up staying at the hotel. However, I enjoyed several hot spring baths, visited the gym, and the hotel can also arrange skiing for you. We didn't go skiing because we had elderly people with us. So, staying at the hotel wasn't bad at all. There are only two restaurants: a Korean restaurant and the hotel's buffet. The food was good, but the dinner shrimp seemed to be limited. I arrived at 7:30 PM and only got two shrimp, while my dad got five. Then there were none left, and the restaurant staff didn't replenish them. The room was very large and clean. I particularly liked the rooms at this hotel. The hot spring has both indoor and outdoor sections. I might return in the future.

This hotel has its own hot spring, which is great, and the breakfast is also good. The front desk staff were excellent during check-in and with later communications. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station, and even gave us free rafting tickets. The interior design is warm and inviting. For Changbai Mountain, this hotel offers really good value for money. The 'Heart-Picked Shop' (Xin Xuan Xiao Pu) inside the hotel is also very convenient! Highly recommended. They even thoughtfully provided two apples with our packed breakfast in the morning – truly attentive service. Thumbs up.

I have to give a shout-out to Manager Xuejian from Wanda Jin Changbaishan Resort. Our trip was incredibly smooth, all thanks to her amazing support from start to finish! 👍 From the very beginning, Manager Xuejian was incredibly thoughtful, sending us detailed information in advance about the ski resort's operating hours and how to use our ski benefits. We even got to see Tianchi Lake! Check-in was also super easy. When we had a last-minute room change request, Manager Xuejian responded instantly and coordinated everything efficiently and considerately. The hotel facilities were complete, and she patiently answered every question we had about every detail, from Wi-Fi connectivity and breakfast times to ski ticketing. She was always online and ready to help with any query. Having such a professional and reliable manager made our entire ski trip worry-free~

I booked a Stone Age-themed room, which my kids absolutely loved and had a blast playing in. The complimentary hot spring tickets were a fantastic value. From the moment I got off the bus and walked through the gate, I felt the service was exceptional. The doorman, the front desk, and even staff I didn't recognize were all incredibly welcoming and helpful. The infinity pool inside the hot springs was stunning, the food was reasonably priced, and the bath attendants were incredibly helpful, offering helpful guidance on every floor. Ms. Lin Haixia was especially helpful. She was my lucky star. I was just worried about getting a return ticket, and she just chatted with me and got a notification on her phone that she had been put on the waiting list. So lucky!

Every year when I return to Tonghua to visit family, I always stay at the Wanfeng Beichen Wuzhou Crown Hotel. The hotel is quiet, spacious, comfortable, and clean. Outside the window, I see rolling mountains, a sea of greenery, and the air is wonderful. The service is also excellent. It would be even better if the king-size rooms had refrigerators.

The Crowne Plaza Changbaishan Hot Spring Hotel is truly one of the best resort hotels I've ever stayed at! From the butler service to the hot springs, every detail was a pleasant surprise, absolutely deserving of a five-star rating. Butler Service: Before check-in, the butler proactively created a chat group, offering station pickup, ticket booking (thanks to Smile!), and itinerary suggestions (thanks to Yunduo, Yuebai, and Shanyue!). They handled every little detail with such care, just like a friend. No matter what request I had, the butler was always on hand to resolve it immediately. Hot Spring Experience: The Julong Volcano Hot Spring is a natural hot spring, rich in minerals. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor pools to choose from, and soaking in the snow was incredibly therapeutic. Family-Friendly: The pet park has alpacas and sika deer, and children can also enjoy snow tubing and building snowmen. It's truly the top choice for a family getaway. Natural Scenery: The hotel is surrounded by primeval forest, offering stunning snowy views right outside the window. The environment is serene, perfect for relaxation. Dining: Breakfast: The buffet offers a wide variety, including Northeastern specialties and Western dishes – all delicious. Dining Options: The hotel has a Chinese restaurant and a buffet restaurant, and there's also a food street nearby, making dining convenient. However, ordering delivery can be difficult! Convenient Transportation: They provide dedicated car service to pick up and drop off at the high-speed rail station and major attractions. There are also frequent shuttle buses to the ski resort, making travel worry-free. Self-driving is also convenient, with ample parking spaces. Location: It's right next to the North Scenic Area gate, a 13-minute walk to the scenic area, with a VIP passage that saves time and effort. Summary: The Crowne Plaza Changbaishan Hot Spring Hotel's service, facilities, and location are all impeccable. It's the perfect choice for experiencing Changbaishan's hot springs and natural scenery. Highly recommended! Although I couldn't see Tianchi Lake this time, I will be back!👍

Stayed in a 4 bedrooms & 3 bathroom suite. The electricity went out twice 😱 😨 but they managed to fix it within 10 mins of reporting. Able to wash clothes and the heater is good. The manager allowed us to shower in next room as the waiting time between each person to shower is 30 mins. Seems to be the case for most apartment. They gave us ginseng soup as souvenirs too. Overall happy with the stay as we did hot spring too & breakfast was quite good. Managed to go to Changbaishan mountain which is very convenient

Its basically a spa, getting in and out of the spa is very troublesome as they keep your shoe as hostage and you are required to queue to check for payment every time you need to leave the hotel which is extremely time consuming. not suitable for family holiday hotel. Alot of additional charges especially for kids using the sauna.

This was my second stay at a Wanda property. Because hotel prices were much higher than usual at Wanda during Chinese New Year, I opted for the Sheraton instead, even though two nights still cost nearly 7,000 RMB. But to my surprise, I was disappointed in every aspect… Firstly, on February 16th, as soon as I entered the lobby, I saw guests arguing with hotel staff. I wasn't sure about the specific reason, but I already had a bad feeling. Secondly, February 16th was Chinese New Year's Eve. My family of three was watching the Spring Festival Gala in the room, and when we tried to pull down the shower curtain, it was broken. After reporting it, we found that even when the curtain was down, it was still see-through… I nearly fainted! This might be okay for couples, but if you're traveling with friends or family with kids, wouldn't that be incredibly awkward? Then, when we were ready to sleep that night, we discovered an issue with the toilet – there was a constant dripping sound, which was driving me crazy. It was Chinese New Year and the middle of the night, so I decided to deal with it the next day. I communicated with the hotel concierge in the morning but never heard back about a resolution. After breakfast, I had to speak to the front desk myself to get a room change… It was a huge hassle, moving from one end of the hotel to the other (a very long walk, dragging suitcases for 10 minutes, and taking two different elevators). The most ridiculous part was that this concierge, after we checked in, enthusiastically recommended various paid activities to us, and we even booked some through him… Ha! During Chinese New Year, I didn't want to ruin our trip or make things difficult for the staff who were still working. So, I tried to keep my negative emotions to myself. However, an old, established hotel, even if it's been open for a long time, isn't excused from all problems. Proper equipment maintenance and staff quality training are just basic operational necessities, aren't they? If they only think about making money from customers' pockets without any sincerity, how far can they really go?

Normally, when I book a B&B, I always check how the owner responds to negative reviews. If they put a lot of effort into addressing and resolving issues, the experience is usually pretty good. The hotel's breakfast quality was on point, with fruit, salad, and pastries available in the mornings. It got a bit repetitive after three days, but the taste was still good. The shuttle service for getting around was super convenient, and they proactively helped with luggage. Despite temperatures of -20 to -30 degrees Celsius, the water in the hot tub was around 40 degrees, but my head was freezing and aching! The B&B's hot spring pool isn't really suitable for photos, and it was just too cold to actually enjoy a soak. They really tried their best to meet all our requests though!
