The environment is clean, the location is convenient, and the staff are very enthusiastic and friendly. They organize groups to visit attractions every day during the day. There are free dinners in the evening, and they also take groups to bars and parties. It is a good place to meet friends!

I really like this hostel, the only downside is that the common area is a bit small. However, the room itself is very spacious and the environment is pleasant. There's even a desk in the room, which is perfect for doing makeup or just putting things down.

The reception staff... They were so so so kind. When I said I was from Korea, they first said hello and thank you and kindly introduced the hostel. The kitchen was big so you could cook anything and it had all kinds of spices. There were basic things like forks, knives, and pans, and there was also a microwave. There were two floors, and the room was spacious so I used a 6-person room, and each bed had a light and a place to plug in the outlet. It was prepared like a locker so you could use it, and they even prepared a locker key when you gave me the key, so I didn't really need a personal lock. The shower and bathroom were separate but outside the room, and both were clean. It seemed like they cleaned it frequently every day. They provide a free dinner every evening (Barcelona dinner time is after 9 PM) and there are events every night. If you like this kind of thing, it would be good to participate~ However, since Barcelona has such a nightlife and exciting culture, it's really noisy at night. If you're a light sleeper, it would be good to bring no-can airpods or earplugs, and if that doesn't work, look for another place to stay. I passed out and slept, so I didn't really care. We also provide free luggage storage!

Thank you Lucy, Jack, and Emma for taking good care of me. This was one of the best hostels I’ve ever experienced. As soon as I arrived I was greeted and invited to play beach volleyball. At night we played drinking games and had a welcome party. Then we enjoyed a pub crawl where we enjoyed VIP entrance to a couple of clubs. I would definitely stay here again. I met so many people. I had the best time. The bathrooms were sooo clean. They even cooked dinner for us for free!!! The only negative is that rooms and bathrooms were a bit small.

The room was a bit small and felt cramped if there were more than 2 people, but otherwise it was very well equipped, and the staff in particular were very nice and helpful.

The hostel is well located being only a couple of minutes walk from a metro station. Easy to get to an airport bus. The 8 bed dorms are well designed with each bed having a light, charging point and spaces to place items. The steps up the ladder are wide enough to place your whole foot, and the is a pole to hold on to making it easy to climb in and out of the top bunk. The area at the end of the room has a locker for each bed - lockers able to store even a large suitcase ( bring your own padlock ). The lockers even have a pole and one hanger inside which is handy. This area has stools and a lamp at the side if the locker meaning someone in that area can put on light without having to put on an overhead light and disturbing everyone. The layout is practical and well designed. The shared toilets and shower rooms are in the corridor. They are modern and clean and sufficient that I was never waiting. Laundry costs £9 for a wash and dry. There is only one washer and one drier meaning there were a few times I wanted to do my laundry and it was occupied. The kitchen is large and includes seating in this area. The kitchen is popular with people cooking; it is well equipped with regards to pots, pans and dishes, however lacks utensils which can make preparing food tricky, I had to prepare fried eggs using a fork to flip them. Difficult to find knives, forks and spoons to eat with. fortunately I travel with my own fork and spoon. There is 24 hour reception, bar, common room, patio, swimming pool, security doors making it feel more like a hotel rather than hostel. Modern and safe feel. Highly recommended.

I have to say it's the best Youth Hostel I have ever stayed in Barcelona. The location is near the guell park, compared to the other popular location, it's not noisy and really quiet at night. Everything is clean, you can a nice aroma everywhere once you enter into the hostel. They provided the locker and the key, so it's also safety. I would definitely choose it for the next time's travel in Barcelona.

The room was quite spacious and clean, with a terrace. However, as it's an eco-friendly hotel, the air conditioning automatically turns off if the terrace door is open or if no one is in the room. We booked a bunk bed room, but found that the upper bunk had no guardrail at all, which felt a bit dangerous. The hotel is located in a residential area with no shops nearby; you have to walk a bit to find any. The staff advised against parking on the street outside the hotel due to potential risks. You can park in the hotel's paid parking lot or the free police station parking lot a short distance away. Taking a taxi from the airport costs around 21 Euros, which is quite convenient.

MM530805****This hotel is really great, and the location is absolutely superb. You can walk to all the attractions, so there's no need for public transportation. As a hostel, it also feels very safe. The breakfast at 12 euros in the evening and 7 euros in the morning were both good. The front desk staff were also very nice. My only complaint is that the USB charging port was broken. I actually thought my own plug was faulty and went out to buy a new one, only to find out later it was the hotel's. I would definitely stay here again next time.

GGuest UserI spent 3 nights at the Safestay Passeig de Gracia and here is my honest review LOCATION ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The hostel is basically located on the Ramblas so in a super central location. You can really reach the main attractions by walk from here. For example The ”Casa Batllo'” is literally next to the hostel CLEANLINESS ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rooms and toilets were pretty clean, nothing to complain about SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Also the service was great. We had a problem with the toilet door in our room and they immediately sent someone to fix it. ACTIVITIES ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is in my opinion the best part of this hostel. You can join their Whatsapp group and you have basically everyday some social activities to do. From bar hopping to Sagrada Familia tour. The way they organized these activities is very well structures and I've never seen something like this anywhere else. Once you're on the WhatsApp group, forget about being alone or wondering what to do QUALITY/PRICE RATIO ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Considering its location and the fact that it covers all the basic needs, the price is absolutely fair. In other places you would pay double the price In conclusion I definitely recommend this hostel if you want to meet other travelers, party with them and stay in the city center without breaking the bank! GGuest UserI knew the towel was 3 euros and I took it. It is also near Plaza Catalunya and has great access to the city. The structure is similar to the capsule hotel I often experience when traveling to Japan. But because the clothes worn inside the capsule are not given separately, it is not recommended for those who are sensitive to cleanliness. The environment is clean, but there are some unknown hairs) The service was good and very good. I was satisfied with fruit and breakfast. The price is crazy.

GGuest UserThe hostel is in a great location; turn left and you're right in the middle of Las Ramblas. The Liceu metro station is just steps away, and the ATM is in front of the hostel. The reception is open 24/7, so checking in at 2 AM and checking out at 3 AM was very convenient. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, and they deserve the highest rating. The room is very small but perfect for a short stay where it's only used as a base and for sleeping. The only downside is the bathroom; it was advertised as having a private bathroom, but it was shared with two other rooms. Unfortunately, it was dirty and there was no wastebasket. Overall, we didn't have many expectations; we were interested in having a base in the city center. If you're looking for a short stay, it's ideal; you'll save around €200 compared to a hotel, but it's clear that there are some small drawbacks, like the bathroom and the inconvenient access to the room.

GGuest UserThe service was very good. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic. They recommended tourist attractions and restaurants to me and cared about me as a traveler. They also had a pleasant chat with us. However, the room was very poor. There were about three rooms with 12 people sharing one bathroom and toilet. The quality of the roommates was average. The bed was very hard. There was a strange smell in the room. I didn't sleep well all night.

LLonely Railway ExplorerI took a train from Malaysia to Europe, please watch my YouTube channel Lonely Railway Explorer to know more. I stay here for 1 night transit. The price is affordable, all the accommodation in Europe are crazy high. The room I will say cozy, and you got your private storage, and the mattress and pillow are super comfortable. The curtain rail on your bed is for your privacy, inside your bed also got light and two power socket. But the main door closed and hard to bell and call them, please prepare the phone number incase you stuck at outside like me. Negative experience is the toilet, too tiny, and the water supply is a problem, you need too keep pressing the 10 sec button when you shower. And if your room got 4 pax, so you need to waiting tour turn in the morning.

SSyed Ali Abb@s RizviOverall, a good stay with a Few Minor Issues I stayed at Safestay Barcelona Gothic from June 17–18, 2025, in a 12-bed mixed dorm. The experience was mostly positive. ✅ Pros: The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the metro, which made it easy to get around. If you have an early flight (like mine at 08:30), this is a good place to stay as you can easily reach the airport in time. The dorm, bathrooms, and common areas were all neat and clean. Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay. The staff was friendly and spoke good English. Definitely value for money. ⚠️ Cons: The check-in time listed in my confirmation email was 14:00, but they didn’t allow check-in until 15:00. This was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast was not included in the booking. Overall, it’s a decent and budget-friendly option in a central area, especially for solo or budget travellers. I would recommend it for short stays.
