Exceeded expectations. Will book again
Clean new great staff expect to pay no more than 300 pesos to airport using grab. It's advertised they have no hot water. Not true we had very hot hot water.

Overall, our stay at Seda Ayala was mixed, and I would rate it 3 out of 5.
The room itself was decent—clean and comfortable enough for a short stay, though nothing particularly memorable. Breakfast offered a wide selection of options, which was appreciated, but unfortunately the taste did not quite match the variety.
What really affected our experience, however, was the service at the front desk during checkout. There were three counters open and only a short queue, yet the line barely moved and we ended up waiting for around 15 minutes. As we were in a rush to catch our flight, I approached a staff member named Stephan to ask if I could simply hand over the room keys to speed things up. Instead of assisting, he gave me a hostile look and curtly responded, “I have other customer,” in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude.
This interaction overshadowed what was otherwise an average stay. With better service, especially at the front desk, the experience could have been much more pleasant.

It's a decent hotel, with everything you need inside. You can stay for a long time, as there's a kitchen and everything you need—a water cooler, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning, even dishes and a coffee maker.
However, there are some drawbacks:
- The room was very stuffy and humid, and the grout in the shower wasn't cleaned.
- The washing machine didn't work, and I only stayed for one night, just so I could do some laundry.
- The balcony wouldn't open at all, no matter how hard I tried to open the door, and it was on the first floor, right next to people splashing in the pool.
- The shower gel and shampoo aren't individual sets, just two bottles shared by everyone, so who knows what guests might mix into the bottles.
- The renovations are frankly shoddy, with the slats held in place with tape, the paint in the bathroom peeling in places due to the humidity, and the walls are crooked. The bathroom has a small ventilation duct (without an exhaust fan) that opens into the hallway, through which you can hear every footstep and conversation, as well as everything going on in the bathroom.
- The air conditioner is aimed directly at the bed, which is uncomfortable and can cause a cold, and turning it on is not an option as it's very hot and stuffy.
- The room has a terribly strong-smelling air freshener that gives you a headache.
- The refrigerator rattles like someone's hammering something; it's impossible to sleep with that noise.
Overall, it's a good option for a 2-3 night stay. It's conveniently located near the airport; a taxi ride costs 160 pesos.

Was looking forward to our stay with the rebranding of Belmont to international chain Mercure.
GOOD:
1. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Diane at the check-in counter was helpful.
2. 6-7 minutes walking access to the private beach and outdoor pool shared with Savoy Hotel.
3. There are many good restaurants within walking distance.
4. It also has an indoor pool, gym, and spa.
COULD BE IMPROVED:
1. For a 4-star hotel, Pulo's breakfast was average with nothing special or memorable.
The food selection for the buffet is plentiful but not premium.
The service of the attendants is lacking. Once seated, no one approached us to offer water or coffee during breakfast.
Spread is a decent size so you'll find something to fill you up.
2. There is sewer smell in the lobby of our floor and inside the elevator at times. One staff admitted that the building has plumbing issues in the basement.
3. Elevator security system is faulty. Would not accept my keycard so could not go to our floor. Had to approach the reception desk THREE times to have my keycard checked. Eventually a staff had to accompany me to the elevator to tap my floor.
One of the best lovely little hotels we have ever stayed. Gym, safebox and lovely pool. Room clean daily. Not far from Alona Beach and has everything you need there and around
We had an amazing stay at this resort, especially the breakfast. There are many pools and a calm beach, and the gym is very good. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling.
However, there are a few things that could be improved:
1. The Wi-Fi access ends at 11 AM, which is quite strange and inconvenient.
2. You are not allowed to use the pools after your checkout.
3. You are not allowed to use the sunbeds with umbrellas after your checkout.
4. The beach is clean, but there is still a lot of “water grass” and the water is not very deep for swimming.

The hotel's location is pretty good, about 3 kilometers from Pier 1 in Cebu, and there's a large shopping mall nearby. It's convenient to take a taxi to the airport from here, and traffic jams are less likely. Magellan's Cross, the Basilica del Santo Niño, and Ayala Center are also about 3 kilometers away by taxi. The beds in the twin room are small, but the room itself is clean and tidy. The hotel breakfast is decent.

We stayed at Savoy Hotel Cebu and overall the experience was just okay. The room was smaller than what was shown in the photos, which was a bit disappointing. The toilet was also quite small and did not feel as dainty or well-designed as expected.
Another concern was the breakfast policy. We booked the room with breakfast for 3 pax, but only 2 breakfasts were honored because my daughter is already 12 years old. This was not clearly explained during the booking, so it came as a surprise.
The hotel is decent, but clearer information and more accurate photos would help manage guests’ expectations better.

I booked an overnight stay at Vivien Hotel, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The TV in my room was not functioning properly, so I called the front desk. Staff came to check and informed me it was a provider issue and that they would try to contact them. However, by 10 PM, there were no updates — I only learned about the status when I followed up myself. No alternative solutions were offered, and I was simply advised to wait until morning. Unfortunately, the issue was still unresolved by the time I checked out. Additionally, the hotel only has three floors and no elevator, which may be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage. The lack of proactive communication and resolution made the overall stay frustrating.
Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped.
1. The room furnishings are a bit old, especially the wooden furniture.
2. The room and balcony are quite spacious; we stayed in a premium room.
3. There are three swimming pools. The one near the beach is open until 12:00 PM.
4. Both pool bars at the hotel have a happy hour for drinks (buy one get one free) from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
5. The breakfast selection is limited (with a focus on Korean and Filipino dishes). Breakfast hours are 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM on the second floor, and 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM near the beach.
6. Check-out time is 11:00 AM (which is quite early).
7. If you arrive early, you can check in ahead of time if a room is available. Otherwise, you can pick up your room key at 3:00 PM with your ticket.
8. It's best to pay the hotel deposit in cash (4000p). If you use a credit card, the refund might take a long time to process after check-out.

Great
AAnna Maria Stephanie OlssonWe recently stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort and overall had a mixed experience.
The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming throughout our stay, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel taken care of. Their hospitality is definitely one of the highlights of the resort.
However, there were several maintenance issues that affected our comfort. Many of the pathways around the property were heavily overgrown with plants, which made walking less pleasant and also attracted a lot of insects. The lack of proper trimming also blocked what could otherwise be beautiful sea views, which was quite disappointing given the location.
On our first night, we unfortunately woke up to a gigantic spider in our room, which had to be removed by staff. This seemed to be due to poor sealing around the main and terrace doors. It made it difficult to fully relax during the rest of our stay, as we were constantly aware that insects could get in.
The lady in the reception mentioned there was a barbecue buffet on the first day of our arrival. As we came to the restaurant, it was not a buffet but à la carte. Even the restaurant staff seemed annoyed as it seems we were not the first guests to question why “buffet” was mentioned.
We also experienced repeated issues with the bathroom facilities. The toilet became clogged easily, regardless of whether we used paper or not, and the showerhead was heavily limescaled, resulting in very weak water pressure. In addition, there appeared to be mould above the air conditioning unit, which was concerning from a maintenance perspective.
The toilet roll holder was broken, but not fixed, just “put into place again”, but still being broken.
The holder for the towels was also broken and very crooked. All of these things needs to be fixed and maintained, and it gave us an impression that nothing will be fixed unless someone complains about it. There seems to be very little maintenance of the rooms.
While the setting and potential of the resort are beautiful, these issues suggest that more attention to upkeep and preventative maintenance would greatly improve the guest experience.
AAnonymous UserWe really enjoyed our stay at Luxu. All the facilities are brand new and very well maintained. The service is exceptional. Breakfast was good and offered a choice of Asian and western style options, though got repetitive after few days. The only issue we had was that rooms were not soundproofed well, so you get all the noises from the corridor, other rooms and the street, what could be disturbant for some. Count with about 15 minutes walk besides a road if going for the beach.
GGuest UserIt's a bit difficult to review this hotel. What made us most angry was that they charged us a child fee when we arrived at the hotel, so friends with children should pay attention, which is about 180 per night. Secondly, we found that they were renovating the new building, so it was relatively dirty and there was a bit of paint smell. The renovation was still going on at 8 pm on the first night. There was no phone in his room, so every time you needed service, it was very difficult, and you had to run to the front desk yourself... The room was generally clean on the second day of the hotel, but I thought her room was cleaned very well when we checked in on the first day. At first, we booked a cabin, which was very interesting. Although the room was small, I thought it was very unique. The breakfast was very unpalatable.
XXIAOJINGMore remote hotel, what is not convenient to eat around, stayed for three days, no one to clean, the first day said that you need to hang the sign on the door to do the cleaning, the next day, did not come to do Also said to the front desk, the overall stay is not good, the software is not good
