BBJBMDAn excellent choice in Wellington. Plenty of restaurants down the street a block from hotel. Fruit and small grocery across the street from front door. 500 meters from Cuba street and lots of eclectic shops. Excellent value , room was large and nice. Love the staff there. IQ of staff was higher than mine.

AAnonymous UserThe room was incredibly spacious and the bed was comfortable, not too soft. I loved the beautiful paintings in the lobby, and the front desk service was excellent. They were very thoughtful and helpful, even writing a note for me.

CConstance_HuoLocation-wise, it's right by Wellington train station, making it a great choice if you're arriving by train or heading to London.
Facilities: They're quite old. The air conditioning was one of those large, vintage units I'd never seen before, and it was incredibly noisy, so I just turned it off. The room had a microwave and cutlery, and surprisingly, a mini-bar – which you usually don't find in hotels at this price point. However, there was a snag: no price list for the mini-bar. While I knew the bottled water in the fridge wouldn't be free, I was still surprised to be charged $7 upon checkout (when a similar bottle is around $2.50 at the supermarket).
Service: The downstairs restaurant has long operating hours. I was able to order a delicious burger after a late check-in, and grab a coffee and a pastry to go during an early checkout. Most of my positive impression comes from that restaurant.

GGuest UserI rung ahead of time to check regarding parking and spoke to a friendly staff member by the name of Hunter who explained where entrance was and how to access car parking. We were impressed with size of the room and the facilities. Great location and didn't seem to hear much street noise. Room was nice and clean only thing noticeable was some scuff marks on walls and having a couch instead of 2 armchairs would have been perfect. Would highly recommend staying here, we had a great experience and commend Hunter on such great customer service

HHoward RickmanRoom 2209. Top floor King. TV has 4 Sky Channels with audio. Other channels have no audio. TV problems seem common as another guest was also complaining. Another customer had problems with the key card not allowing her to use the lift. Rooms are old and tired. It doesn't have a hotel vibe. It is more like student accomodation vibe. The extractor in the bathroom didn't work. The coffee machine is a nice addition. 2 capsules and small box of milk. Microwave was welcome, but it would appear some guests have been charged $1500 due to using it and setting off a fire alarm. It's time that the whole hotel had a refurbishmeb

GGuest UserGreat spacious room, perfect for families. The bathtub was an added bonus I love that you can get Netflix and Disney Great breakfast lots of variety. Only disappointment was that the pool and spa are no longer an option being an extra plus on a rainy day with the kids but overall didn't diminish a positive experience.

GGuest UserWe had 1 night stay. Good facilities, like pool, Spa, Restaurant, however a few things need to improve to reach 4 star, like stated.
Our room was clean and tidy but some lights up in the ceiling were out, basin in the bathroom was very cracked.
We had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered pizza, where the dough was slightly undercooked, no crisp, sloppy.
Filter coffee at breakfast, that was included had a colour of weak tea. But you were offered to pay extra for a coffee on top of $30, you already paid for a buffet breakfast.
Previously stayed here before, but I think it needs a lot of improvements as it's gone down quite a bit.

CCASPERI was very satisfied with the hotel's location; I liked that it was a quiet and clean area. It's also very close to the old St. Peter's Church, which is entirely made of wood. There's a New World supermarket nearby, which was very convenient for buying water, fruits, and chocolates. Public transport was also easily accessible from the hotel. Overall, I was pleased with the hotel. The breakfast was decent; it had all the basics and was satisfying and nutritious. The room looked exactly like the pictures I saw when booking, no differences there. The front desk staff were all Indian, and a young lady checked us in, she was quite good, no complaints. The cleanliness was also acceptable; all visible areas were pretty clean. The only downside was the shower water pressure; it was too low, which made showering uncomfortable. Also, the design of the shower base was quite terrible, made of metal material like the old train squat toilets in China, very strange. I would still choose this hotel if I came to Wellington again. Overall, it's very good.
