The room was very spacious and had two bathrooms. We came with kids, and during the New Year's Day holiday, rooms were scarce, so we could only book this suite with a private hot spring. An extra bed would have cost an additional 200, but the sofa in the living room was perfectly sleepable for one person, and they provided bedding for free. The private hot spring in the room was very convenient and relaxing. Parking was easy, and both the front desk and room service were very enthusiastic. We plan to come back during the off-season.

Definitely not a 7-star hotel, more like a 4-star at best. I got bitten by mosquitoes. The breakfast was disappointing, lacking any meat dishes, and nowhere near as good as the Xiangjiang Wenhua Hotel. Their restaurant is on the top floor with great views and a wide variety of food, whereas here, only the Cantonese steamed buns and chicken feet were decent. Parking was convenient. I appreciate that the hotel provided facial cleanser, toner, and mouthwash. However, the tea box had a lot of tea dust and very little tea.

The highlight of the room was definitely the slide 🛝, it was so much fun, even us older folks had a blast! The scenic area overall was quite good. The room amenities and luxurious breakfast lived up to the price point. Building 32 is in the very center of the scenic area, offering the best view of the central plaza, and the soundproofing was surprisingly good despite being in a lively area. However, there were a few minor issues: the check-in time was too late, usually not until 4-5 PM, and then check-out was at 12 PM the next day, so we didn't have many hours in total. Building 32's location, being so central, is actually super far from the guesthouse center. Carrying luggage up and down hills was exhausting, and the shuttle bus usually took about 10 minutes to arrive, making it hard to catch breakfast the next day. The slide sacrificed some room space, so there was no TV, no desk, and no chairs. The parking lot had no charging stations, which was inconvenient for electric car owners. We had to spend the next day looking for charging stations (fortunately, there was one at Zhengfang, near the canyon entrance). In summary, Wangxian Valley is quite beautiful and well-developed, a Chinese aesthetic theme park (though it does have some 'influencer-style' kitsch elements). Next time I visit, I'll choose Yangxian Village.

I found this hotel temporarily with my colleagues on a business trip. I didn't notice the invoice problem when I booked it, but the front desk manager Shi was very professional and patient to help us solve it when I checked out. The hotel itself is also very good, the decoration and facilities are generally new, and the price-performance ratio is very good.

It's a 5-minute walk to key scenic spots like Qingyun Bridge, and you can catch a stunning sunset from the rooftop in the evening. The breakfast at Baihe Restaurant is delicious. You can also visit the百年围楼 (Centennial Enclosed Building) to enjoy freshly prepared Qianshan noodles while watching Gan Opera, making for a truly memorable experience. Smart Hardware: As a newer phase, the rooms have upgraded hardware, generally featuring floor heating, smart toilets, and voice-controlled central systems. This hotel is on the uphill, inside the Lushan attraction. If you come to Lushan/Jiujiang by train, you need to go to their Sightseeing bus centre, and take their sightseeing bus to go up to another bus centre, and just give a call to the hotel, they would pick you up by a comfortable car. We had an unpleasant encounter with the didi driver driving us to the uphill, the driver was rude, even said to me “I got no time, just buy the ticket faster” (you need to purchase a ticket for the didi car and for yourself to drive up, an hour drive btw). So glad that the hotel staffs were all so nice and understanding. They welcomed us warmly, even listened to me complaining about the driver’s behaviour and rude remarks. They presented us with a welcoming fruit platter too! The hotel is clean, and very bear to Ruqin Lake. For my room, we got to wear 2 sets of hanfu for free (just put a deposit first, they’ll return the depo after you return the clothes). The staffs helped us bring our luggages into the room, even offered extra towel and room slippers since we came in 3. You got to experience brewing chinese tea by yourself too, since they prepared chinese tea leaves and chinese tea pot set in the room. Since we arrived there around 3, and had to take shower and clean up first, so we would only be able to start exploring Lushan at 4. The hotel staffs at the reception were so kind to prepare us with a map and gave us recommendations on places we can go, in the best order, since they know we would be walking until late at night. The picture of the lake is Ruqin Lake, it’s just in front of the hotel. As for the next morning, we had to wake up early to get a morning train from jiujiang to jingdezhen, so I asked for the receptionist’s help to make a wake-up call, in which they actually called our room at 4am! Thank you so much. Overall, the stay here was amazing! We will find for JI Hotel the next time we travel to China.

I came all the way to Nanchang for Nicholas Tse's concert. After agonizing over hotels for ages, I finally booked the Deluxe River View Room at the Mercure Nanchang Tengwang Pavilion. The moment I opened the door and pulled back the curtains, there it was—the Tengwang Pavilion standing right outside the window, with the Gan River flowing just below. My room was on a fairly high floor with an unobstructed view. By day, the ancient pavilion and river layered together exude a timeless charm; by night, once the lights come on, it’s a completely different world. The entire structure is outlined in warm lighting, casting its reflection across the river. You can take in the entire night view right from your bed, saving you from fighting the crowds at the scenic spot. After getting back from the concert, completely exhausted, taking a shower and leaning against the window to zone out while watching the city lights was the ultimate way to decompress and finally catch my breath. As for dining, the breakfast was much more ”Nanchang” than I expected. I didn't hold high hopes for hotel breakfast beforehand, but as soon as I walked in, I saw a station cooking mixed rice noodles (banfen), right next to earthenware pot soup (wuguantang). The soup was simmered in tiny individual pots, and you could add your own toppings to the noodles. The taste was just as good as the famous spots outside that have long queues. Even better, breakfast is served until 11:00 AM, which is an absolute lifesaver for concert-goers. With my voice hoarse from shouting the night before, I could sleep in until 10:00 AM, saunter down for a leisurely meal, and avoid the morning rush. What I appreciated most about the service was that it wasn't ”over-the-top or scripted.” When checking in at the front desk, the staff noticed I was there for the concert and proactively told me what time it would end and the best walking route back—none of that stiff, rehearsed script delivery. Bottled water was given out generously and was always available in the lobby. After returning from the concert with my throat burning, walking in and chugging half a bottle of water right away—little details like that are way more practical than any welcome fruit. Location is definitely this hotel's strongest trump card. Cross a single street and you're at the North Gate of the Tengwang Pavilion; it's a mere 3 to 5-minute walk to the entrance. There’s a subway for getting to the concert, and walking back afterwards is a breeze. Head east downstairs for a few minutes and you'll hit the Dashiyuan Food Street—rice noodles, white sugar cakes, boiled street snacks. The day after the concert, I dived straight in for a food crawl, which was way more fun than hunting down chain restaurants in a mall. If you're here purely for sightseeing, this location easily connects the Tengwang Pavilion and Wanshou Palace into a single walking route. If you're here for a concert, it sits right in that sweet spot of being ”quiet amidst the hustle and bustle,” meaning you won't be kept awake by the outside noise when you return at night. Half the price of the Deluxe River View Room goes to the view outside your window, and the other half goes to that bed where you can quietly recover after an exhausting concert. I came here for Nicholas Tse, but ended up captivated by the room's night view. If I ever visit Nanchang again, I’ll most likely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay, arrival is straightforward, a shuttle service at the entry gate brings you to the check-in lobby and helpful staff were available to support moving our suitcases to rooms. We had a wonderful butler Xiaohui who initiated all communication via weChat app providing us with guidance, tips and time schedules for various activities which made our stay smooth. Thank you very much for checking in on us regularly during our short stay we appreciate this. Highly recommend this hotel especially if you are a larger family or group given the close proximity to the carparking and shuttle service which really helped (lot of steps once you venture into the touristy areas). Room was great, good AC, standard towels provided (this is sometimes a concern to travellers), clothes steamer was provided upon request. Breakfast was a mix of western and eastern choices with one or two interesting active stations for cuisine options. For foreign tourists visiting this area, weChat and Alipay are crucial alongside Google Translate. The beautiful village lights turn off at midnight, so becomes a photographer paradise once day trip tourists disappear and the vilage landscape becomes yours. Full score! Wuyuan super healing treasure homestay! The most pleasant surprise of this trip to Wuyuan was to choose this homestay. The stay experience was directly full, and the whole process was comfortable and healing. Must focus on praise the butler, the service is particularly intimate and thoughtful. When checking in, take the initiative to help carry luggage and relieve the fatigue of the journey. I also carefully introduce the surrounding situation, sincerely recommend the authentic restaurants that locals often go to, avoid the net red stepping on the thunder store, and take the food guide directly, which is very practical. The overall environment of the homestay is quiet and elegant, clean and refreshing. The room is open and well equipped. My favorite is two large balconies with a wide view. Sitting in your leisure time, enjoying the scenery of Wuyuan Mountains and Wild Mountains, it is comfortable and relaxing. The sanitation is meticulously cleaned and the living comfort is very high. The overall price is super high, the service is warm, the environment is beautiful, and the details are full. I highly recommend this homestay for a trip to Wuyuan, and I will choose to stay again next time!
