Overall, the cruise experience was great 👍 The facilities were new, the food was plentiful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and there were plenty of activities. The only problem was the language barrier, which made it a little difficult for us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. However, I still think that cruise travel is the best choice in expensive countries like Northern Europe, where you don't have to change rooms and the food is plentiful.

I just finished my MSC Cruises Middle East itinerary, and the overall experience was very satisfying. It was a worry-free and comfortable trip. The biggest advantage was its convenience and ease of use. The cruise ship is like a mobile hotel; one ticket covers accommodation, meals, transportation, and most entertainment. There's no need to pack luggage or rush to catch planes or trains every day. You can sleep on the ship at night and arrive at your new destination the next morning. For example, taking a boat was the most convenient option for visiting Sabania Island. The daily rhythm was very comfortable. During the day, you could disembark to explore, and in the evening, you could return for dinner and a show. After the show, the ship quietly sailed to the next destination. I slept exceptionally well on board; perhaps it was the ship's gentle rocking like a cradle, combined with the regular routine, that made me sleepy very early every day, resulting in high-quality sleep. The onboard dining and activities were plentiful. There were many food options, and both the buffet and the main dining room were good. There were evening performances in the theater, which were quite professional. The ship also had a swimming pool, gym, shops, etc., so there was never any boredom. The service was generally good. The crew was polite, the rooms were clean, and the disembarkation and embarkation procedures were very orderly. In summary, if you prefer a relaxed, low-maintenance travel style, a cruise is a great option. This MSC cruise was perfectly planned – food, accommodation, and activities were all arranged perfectly. I slept well and had a smooth trip; it was definitely worth it. I'm already thinking about my next cruise trip.

A long-haul cruise from Italy to Dubai, passing through the famous Suez Canal, was a truly unique journey. The majority of passengers were elderly, and perhaps due to the long duration, the food was predominantly Western. The cruise route included stops in Rome, Athens, Haifa, Jordan, Oman, and Abu Dhabi before arriving in Dubai. A visa is required to disembark in Israel; previously, it could be obtained on board, but this is no longer possible. Disembarkation was possible in other cities, and hiring a private car to visit attractions was much cheaper and more convenient than the ship's bus.

This was my second time on a Costa Cruises ship (I went to Jeju, Fukuoka, and Kagoshima in April 2016). Overall, it was a good experience. A few points to note: 1. The main restaurant is on the third floor. They have Chinese menus, and the table number is on your room key (it's for personal use only). Although it's Western food, the taste is decent. If you want to be a gentleman or lady, this is the place (everything is free except drinks). You can also go to the buffet restaurant on the tenth floor. 2. The cruise newsletter is also in Chinese and is placed in your mailbox every evening, so you'll know everything about the ship's activities the next day. 3. Our group of 22 people participated in the shore excursion package. We had a dedicated bus for transportation throughout, no carpooling, a tour leader, and three Chinese group meals, which provided some variety. I think it was good value for money. It was a bit of a hardship for our tour leader, Kong Fen, who had to act as a guide for everything except the Mallorca cruise. Kudos to her! 4. The cabin service was excellent. Your cabins were spotless when you returned from shore excursions in the morning. I'd love to go again with friends. I suggest the ship should hire more Chinese-speaking or Mandarin-speaking service staff. This time, only one Chinese girl was hired. With more Chinese people traveling abroad, they should hire more Chinese staff. [Grinning face emoji]

There were quite a few Chinese tourists on the ship, but services specifically for them were limited, with only one Chinese-speaking staff member. Shore excursions lacked Chinese-speaking staff, and even English-speaking tour guides were scarce. Everything else was excellent; the food was mainly Western, with a Japanese restaurant available for a fee, though we didn't go.

Frequently Asked Questions

You must carry a passport with an expiration date that meets the destination's requirements (usually valid for at least 6 months after the cruise ends; please refer to the actual boarding information), your cruise boarding pass (e-ticket or printed copy), and any visas required by all countries/regions on your itinerary. Depending on your nationality, other identification documents (such as a residence card or national ID card) may also be required. Please confirm the final requirements with the relevant embassies or consulates and the cruise line before departure.
Modern large cruise ships are equipped with advanced stabilizers and are routed to avoid rough seas, meaning most passengers never experience noticeable seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider booking a cabin on the mid-to-lower decks where movement is minimal. Other helpful tips include packing motion sickness medication, wearing anti-nausea wristbands, and getting fresh air on open decks. Note: Medication availability at the onboard medical center varies, so please check with your specific cruise line.
The vast majority of cruises automatically charge a fixed service fee to your daily cruise card account. For specific rates and collection methods, please refer to the information published by the cruise line after boarding. This fee typically covers basic gratuities for room service, dining staff, and more. Unless you wish to tip extra for exceptional service, additional cash tips are not required. We recommend consulting the cruise line's official guidelines when booking or after boarding.
Most international cruise lines use the US Dollar as their onboard currency. Upon boarding, you will link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to your cruise card. The ship operates on a "cashless" system, meaning all onboard purchases (dining, drinks, shopping, service fees) are charged directly to your account and settled at the end of the trip. While you don't need large amounts of cash on board, we recommend bringing some small bills (USD or local currency) for minor expenses and tips at ports of call.
Usually, within an hour after leaving port, your phone will connect to a maritime roaming network, which carries extremely high call and data roaming charges (often exceeding US$ 5/minute). We strongly advise putting your phone in Airplane Mode and relying solely on the ship's Wi-Fi. Most ships offer paid Wi-Fi packages. Purchasing a voyage-long package is generally much more cost-effective than paying by the day. Some luxury cruise lines include basic Wi-Fi in your fare.
Every international cruise ship is equipped with a medical center staffed by at least one internationally certified doctor and nurse. They are fully capable of treating common illnesses (colds, gastroenteritis) and minor injuries. Please note: Onboard medical care is quite expensive, and the pharmacy has limited stock. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cruise medical coverage and packing an ample supply of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you regularly use.
After boarding, you must attend a mandatory safety drill (usually required to be completed within 24 hours). During the drill, you will hear the ship's dedicated alarm signal. Please immediately put on your life jacket (located in your cabin closet) and follow the evacuation route map on the back of your door to your designated assembly station. Please keep in mind: Do not use the elevators, follow the crew's instructions, and stay calm. Even if you have been on multiple cruises, you must participate in the drill on every new voyage. Please refer to the ship's on-site broadcasts and guidance for the specific signal and assembly location.
The night before disembarkation, affix luggage tags to all checked bags as instructed by the cruise operator and leave them at the marked zone outside your cabin. Do not pack items required for the next day such as daily wear, official documents and valuables into checked luggage. Retain your passport, room key and hand luggage with yourself. On disembark day, exit your cabin by the stated timing and proceed ashore in allocated groups per announcements. Avoid remaining inside the cabin. Inspect every drawer, closet and cabin safe thoroughly. Exact timings and baggage rules follow the cruise line’s Disembarkation Guide.

It starts at the lively Asiatique, with its restaurants, souvenir shops, and stunning riverside views before boarding the boat 🌆 Once on board, the atmosphere changes completely – a calm, luxurious, and relaxed feel. "Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

#cruiseholiday Hold onto your glitter, because Carnival Splendor isn’t just a cruise—it’s a floating ‘70s revival where the pink zebra-striped decor is wild, the dessert menu never ends, and the party lasts all night. I just got back, and my inner diva is still recovering. Here’s the scoop: First Impressions: Stepping into the Atrium felt like walking into a disco ball explosion—pink glass elevators, neon lights, and the smell of Pinnacle Steakhouse’s sizzling filets 🥩 mixing with Swirls’ soft-serve vanilla. The vibe? “Saturday Night Fever meets all-you-can-eat.” The “This Ship is SO Extra” Moment: The Cloud 9 Spa’s thalassotherapy pool—a giant saltwater hot tub where I melted like the chocolate cake I’d later inhale. But the real hidden gem? El Mojito Bar’s spicy watermelon mojito (ask for extra chili salt!). 🌶️🍹 Foodie Glory: Chocolate Melting Cake ruined me for all other desserts (I ate it six nights straight). But the *24-hour* Pizza Pirate’s prosciutto pie? A drunken masterpiece. 🍕 My “Disco Never Dies” Itinerary: ⏰ 9 AM: Seaday Brunch with maple bacon pancakes (because balance). ⏰ 12 PM: Twister Waterslide (screamed like I was on American Idol). ⏰ 4 PM: Serenity Deck nap (with a Miami Vice in hand). ⏰ 8 PM: Pink Zebra Lounge karaoke (Dancing Queen = mandatory). ⏰ 12 AM: Robusto Bar’s cigar lounge (felt dangerously fancy). Pro Tip: Book the steakhouse on embarkation day—it’s half-price! Also, Lido Deck’s midnight nachos are a sinful must. 🌮 Final Verdict: 20/10, left sugar-drunk, slightly hoarse, and already planning my next glitter-filled escape. Who’s ready to splurge on Splendor? 💃

🇭🇰Pilot Star・The vitality of the sea

I sincerely want to share with you that taking a cruise is really a must-try experience because it is too good to shoot and too much fun! I've been on two cruises, and every time I post or feed, my friends go crazy and ask, "Is the cruise awesome? Is it fun?" And I always have one answer – cool! 🎉 Every morning when you open the curtains, you will see an endless sea🌊, the sky and the sea are connected by a line. That healing feeling can never be found in the city. You will feel completely relieved of the pressure. My mood immediately relaxed, as if even breathing was much fresher. In addition to the scenery, life on a cruise is exciting: 🍽️ Food, basically from morning to night, the restaurant has a lot of choice, Western food, Chinese food, buffet, as well as desserts and cocktails, can completely satisfy your taste buds. 🎶 For entertainment, there will be performances, concerts, dance shows, and even a casino at night. 🏊 For leisure, you can take a dip in the pool, sunbathe on the deck, or relax at the spa. Most importantly, whether you like to take pictures or enjoy a leisurely vacation, a cruise is sure to satisfy you. Many photos I took at random, straight out without filter, has been beautiful to be 📷 Even just for these few photos, the cruise is worth the trip! What’s more, you can still see the sea and eat while feeling the vitality and romance of the sea. This is an experience that no other mode of travel can match at all. ✨ So, if you want a truly relaxing and fulfilling journey, Look no further – cruises are a must-try! #CruiseFirstExperience #CruiseTravel #CruiseVacation #HongKongCruise #RitzCruise #RitzCruiseLeadingStar #Kai Tak Cruise Terminal #Seaview #LifePhotos
