The cruise experience was excellent in every aspect, especially the spacious rooms, which surpassed most five-star hotels. The food quality was also superb, exceeding the standards of many restaurants. The most convenient aspect was that almost all meals and drinks were available on board; you could eat and drink wherever you wanted without additional charges, including tips (except for a few Michelin-starred restaurants). Areas for service improvement include promptly informing passengers of the ship's departure and arrival port information, especially if the original port information changes. During my recent cruise, I encountered a port change when boarding in Quebec City, and the berth was quite far away and not even visible. I couldn't get a response from the cruise line's WeChat customer service platform in China, and I eventually found out about the situation at the Quebec City Visitor Center.

The cruise line has a policy that allows passengers spending 3000 RMB to redeem a cabin for free within 15 days of the next six months. The more you spend, the better the cabin. The best part is the overnight transfer service with free luggage check-in and airport transfers. Luggage check-in is cheaper than through Ctrip, and they even offer airport transfers – incredibly convenient! The cruise line has a Japanese restaurant with a buffet featuring noodles and porridge, and the staff are very polite. The downside is that our shore excursions, booked online, were automatically linked to Ctrip. Booking via email for children was much cheaper than through Ctrip. Taiwanese tourists had a guided tour with excellent service throughout the trip. Also, since this is my fifth time on the Princess Cruises, Ctrip hasn't changed my booking yet. After boarding, I'm still listed as a new customer, saying that different countries require confirmation via email with Princess Cruises. I haven't been able to resolve this through Ctrip, and I hope they can improve this.

The combination of stunning scenery and the magic of Disney is pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend the Alaska cruise. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous; each stop offers a different view, especially the glacier day – it was breathtakingly beautiful. Eight days and seven nights is simply not enough; there wasn't enough time. The cruise service is impeccable, and the food is excellent. The shore excursions at each port of call are incredibly fun: don't forget Donald Duck's gold rush, the White Lake train ride, bear watching, whale chasing, salmon runs, and Alaskan crab. Of course, port adventures aren't cheap. The cruise ship is generally not crowded, and the passengers are very courteous and considerate, making it very comfortable. There's no need to rush or push and shove. However, there are inevitably long queues for interactions with the characters. Although the Magic is an older ship, it's very well-maintained. If you're not too picky, there are no problems. The only issue is a constant creaking noise from the cabin when the ship is moving, making it feel like the room is about to fall apart, but it doesn't affect sleep. Overall, it was fantastic!

The cruise ship wasn't large, and the food was quite good for a white-themed cruise. Entertainment facilities were comprehensive, and while there weren't many shops, they were quite lively. The hot tub was always crowded. One of the ping-pong tables was tilted, and both the paddle and the balls were broken; however, the balls were replaced the next day. The shore excursions were well-planned; if you didn't join a tour, you could explore on your own. The most memorable experience was watching the salmon run. Along the way, there were glaciers and bays. On a clear day, sitting at the stern with a hot coffee and breakfast was very pleasant. If your budget allows, the experience in a balcony cabin would be even better.

This 25-day trip included activities on board such as surfing, water slides, rock climbing, ice skating, basketball, and various other entertainment options, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The front desk had Chinese-speaking staff, making communication and problem-solving relatively easy. Royal Caribbean's buffet restaurant mainly offered the same three dishes, but occasionally there were some novel and delicious options. We had some pretty good crayfish once, but only once. Overall, the food was acceptable. The theater had many shows, some of which were truly spectacular. The biggest drawback of the trip was that the windows in the ocean view rooms weren't cleaned properly; despite several attempts to clean them, the cleaning wasn't effective.

This Alaskan cruise trip has come to a successful conclusion. Special thanks to our tour leader, Sun Minhui. From boarding and shore excursions to all the little things in the itinerary, she was professional and composed throughout, handling every detail with patience, answering every question from the group members, and promptly coordinating and resolving any issues. Thanks to Tour Leader Sun's dedicated care, we were able to enjoy the glaciers and aurora borealis in Alaska with peace of mind, fully immersing ourselves in the romance of our cruise journey. Thank you, Tour Leader Sun, for your care and companionship throughout the trip. We wish you continued success and all the best for your future journeys.

Frequently Asked Questions

You must carry a passport with an expiration date that meets the destination's requirements (usually valid for at least 6 months after the cruise ends; please refer to the actual boarding information), your cruise boarding pass (e-ticket or printed copy), and any visas required by all countries/regions on your itinerary. Depending on your nationality, other identification documents (such as a residence card or national ID card) may also be required. Please confirm the final requirements with the relevant embassies or consulates and the cruise line before departure.
Modern large cruise ships are equipped with advanced stabilizers and are routed to avoid rough seas, meaning most passengers never experience noticeable seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider booking a cabin on the mid-to-lower decks where movement is minimal. Other helpful tips include packing motion sickness medication, wearing anti-nausea wristbands, and getting fresh air on open decks. Note: Medication availability at the onboard medical center varies, so please check with your specific cruise line.
The vast majority of cruises automatically charge a fixed service fee to your daily cruise card account. For specific rates and collection methods, please refer to the information published by the cruise line after boarding. This fee typically covers basic gratuities for room service, dining staff, and more. Unless you wish to tip extra for exceptional service, additional cash tips are not required. We recommend consulting the cruise line's official guidelines when booking or after boarding.
Most international cruise lines use the US Dollar as their onboard currency. Upon boarding, you will link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to your cruise card. The ship operates on a "cashless" system, meaning all onboard purchases (dining, drinks, shopping, service fees) are charged directly to your account and settled at the end of the trip. While you don't need large amounts of cash on board, we recommend bringing some small bills (USD or local currency) for minor expenses and tips at ports of call.
Usually, within an hour after leaving port, your phone will connect to a maritime roaming network, which carries extremely high call and data roaming charges (often exceeding US$ 5/minute). We strongly advise putting your phone in Airplane Mode and relying solely on the ship's Wi-Fi. Most ships offer paid Wi-Fi packages. Purchasing a voyage-long package is generally much more cost-effective than paying by the day. Some luxury cruise lines include basic Wi-Fi in your fare.
Every international cruise ship is equipped with a medical center staffed by at least one internationally certified doctor and nurse. They are fully capable of treating common illnesses (colds, gastroenteritis) and minor injuries. Please note: Onboard medical care is quite expensive, and the pharmacy has limited stock. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cruise medical coverage and packing an ample supply of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you regularly use.
After boarding, you must attend a mandatory safety drill (usually required to be completed within 24 hours). During the drill, you will hear the ship's dedicated alarm signal. Please immediately put on your life jacket (located in your cabin closet) and follow the evacuation route map on the back of your door to your designated assembly station. Please keep in mind: Do not use the elevators, follow the crew's instructions, and stay calm. Even if you have been on multiple cruises, you must participate in the drill on every new voyage. Please refer to the ship's on-site broadcasts and guidance for the specific signal and assembly location.
The night before disembarkation, affix luggage tags to all checked bags as instructed by the cruise operator and leave them at the marked zone outside your cabin. Do not pack items required for the next day such as daily wear, official documents and valuables into checked luggage. Retain your passport, room key and hand luggage with yourself. On disembark day, exit your cabin by the stated timing and proceed ashore in allocated groups per announcements. Avoid remaining inside the cabin. Inspect every drawer, closet and cabin safe thoroughly. Exact timings and baggage rules follow the cruise line’s Disembarkation Guide.

It starts at the lively Asiatique, with its restaurants, souvenir shops, and stunning riverside views before boarding the boat 🌆 Once on board, the atmosphere changes completely – a calm, luxurious, and relaxed feel. "Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

#cruiseholiday Hold onto your glitter, because Carnival Splendor isn’t just a cruise—it’s a floating ‘70s revival where the pink zebra-striped decor is wild, the dessert menu never ends, and the party lasts all night. I just got back, and my inner diva is still recovering. Here’s the scoop: First Impressions: Stepping into the Atrium felt like walking into a disco ball explosion—pink glass elevators, neon lights, and the smell of Pinnacle Steakhouse’s sizzling filets 🥩 mixing with Swirls’ soft-serve vanilla. The vibe? “Saturday Night Fever meets all-you-can-eat.” The “This Ship is SO Extra” Moment: The Cloud 9 Spa’s thalassotherapy pool—a giant saltwater hot tub where I melted like the chocolate cake I’d later inhale. But the real hidden gem? El Mojito Bar’s spicy watermelon mojito (ask for extra chili salt!). 🌶️🍹 Foodie Glory: Chocolate Melting Cake ruined me for all other desserts (I ate it six nights straight). But the *24-hour* Pizza Pirate’s prosciutto pie? A drunken masterpiece. 🍕 My “Disco Never Dies” Itinerary: ⏰ 9 AM: Seaday Brunch with maple bacon pancakes (because balance). ⏰ 12 PM: Twister Waterslide (screamed like I was on American Idol). ⏰ 4 PM: Serenity Deck nap (with a Miami Vice in hand). ⏰ 8 PM: Pink Zebra Lounge karaoke (Dancing Queen = mandatory). ⏰ 12 AM: Robusto Bar’s cigar lounge (felt dangerously fancy). Pro Tip: Book the steakhouse on embarkation day—it’s half-price! Also, Lido Deck’s midnight nachos are a sinful must. 🌮 Final Verdict: 20/10, left sugar-drunk, slightly hoarse, and already planning my next glitter-filled escape. Who’s ready to splurge on Splendor? 💃

🇭🇰Pilot Star・The vitality of the sea

I sincerely want to share with you that taking a cruise is really a must-try experience because it is too good to shoot and too much fun! I've been on two cruises, and every time I post or feed, my friends go crazy and ask, "Is the cruise awesome? Is it fun?" And I always have one answer – cool! 🎉 Every morning when you open the curtains, you will see an endless sea🌊, the sky and the sea are connected by a line. That healing feeling can never be found in the city. You will feel completely relieved of the pressure. My mood immediately relaxed, as if even breathing was much fresher. In addition to the scenery, life on a cruise is exciting: 🍽️ Food, basically from morning to night, the restaurant has a lot of choice, Western food, Chinese food, buffet, as well as desserts and cocktails, can completely satisfy your taste buds. 🎶 For entertainment, there will be performances, concerts, dance shows, and even a casino at night. 🏊 For leisure, you can take a dip in the pool, sunbathe on the deck, or relax at the spa. Most importantly, whether you like to take pictures or enjoy a leisurely vacation, a cruise is sure to satisfy you. Many photos I took at random, straight out without filter, has been beautiful to be 📷 Even just for these few photos, the cruise is worth the trip! What’s more, you can still see the sea and eat while feeling the vitality and romance of the sea. This is an experience that no other mode of travel can match at all. ✨ So, if you want a truly relaxing and fulfilling journey, Look no further – cruises are a must-try! #CruiseFirstExperience #CruiseTravel #CruiseVacation #HongKongCruise #RitzCruise #RitzCruiseLeadingStar #Kai Tak Cruise Terminal #Seaview #LifePhotos
