Chimelong Safari Park is home to the giant panda triplets "Meng, Shuai, Ku," and has successfully bred 10 surviving pandas across 7 litters to date. It also houses a koala population second only to that in Australia, as well as nearly 500 species and over 20,000 rare animals from around the world, including white tigers that account for more than half of the global population. Chimelong Happy World and Chimelong Water Park have been in operation for over 10 years, and Chimelong Water Park has received the TEA "Outstanding Achievement Award" for its innovative "Rocking Tug" ride. Chimelong Happy World and Chimelong Water Park have cultivated several well-known entertainment brands such as "Happy Halloween" and "Water Electronic Music Festival," becoming trendy landmarks for young people's leisure and entertainment. After 20 years of continuous innovation, Guangzhou Chimelong International Circus, together with Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong International Circus, has welcomed nearly 500 circus artists from over 20 countries to perform in Guangzhou and Zhuhai, creating a "world circus stage that never stops." Chimelong Birds Park is a theme park integrating bird watching, science education, and precious wetland plants—"a place to truly see birds fly"—featuring hundreds of species and tens of thousands of rare birds and amphibians. Guangzhou Tower, a landmark of Guangzhou, stands at a towering 600 meters including its antenna, making it one of the most famous towers in China. From its top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Guangzhou. Its slender and elegant shape has earned it the nickname "Slim Waist." At night, the tower lights up, making it a perfect spot for photography, even if you don't go inside. The tower is divided into five functional zones from A to E. Zone A at the base showcases Guangzhou's history, culture, economy, and tourist attractions, along with providing tourist services. Zone E at the top offers dining, entertainment, and an observation deck. It's recommended to arrive at the tower by 3:30 PM, queue for security and tickets, and reach the top by 4:30-5:00 PM to catch the sunset. This schedule allows you to experience Guangzhou's panorama during the day, at dusk, and at night. In summer, adjust your visit by two hours later due to longer daylight. Visiting between 7-8 PM is ideal as the tower is less crowded. ▲Pearl River Photography Viewing Platform:Located on the 2nd floor, this platform offers a broad view along the river, perfect for capturing the city's central axis and memorable shots with the tower ▲Landmark α: Features three main thrilling activities—Cloud Walk, Sky Drop, and Alpha Exploration ▲Baiyun/Starry Sky Sightseeing Hall:Situated at 428m and 433m, these themed halls offer stunning views of Guangzhou's new central axis and the Pearl River under blue skies and starry nights ▲Science Exploration Hall: On the 109th and 110th floors, this hall reveals how the 600-meter tower withstands strong winds and earthquakes ▲460m Bubble Tram:With 16 transparent cabins, each holding six visitors, a full rotation takes about 20 minutes. It attracts many locals who come for hiking and exercise. Being a public park, there's no specific route to follow - most visitors come for hiking, lake viewing, taking photos at the five-goat statue, and seeing the ancient city wall. Families with children can enjoy the Golden Seal amusement park and Yuexiu Park - Dongxiu children's play area, where each attraction has a per-use charge. It consists of the main peak Yuejing Hill and surrounding hills such as Guihua Hill, Muke Hill, and Liyu Hill, along with three artificial lakes: North Xiu, South Xiu, and East Xiu. All three lakes offer cruise rides. The differences between the lakes are as follows: East Xiu Lake offers a distant view of the TV tower and features bumper boats, with a children's play area by the shore. South Xiu Lake provides a scenic overlook of Zhenhai Tower and has a large lawn by the shore, making it an ideal spot for painting and sketching. North Xiu Lake is shaded by lush greenery and features attractions like the Flower Pavilion, Lake Center Island, and Jin Garden. In addition to its natural scenery, the park is filled with numerous historical sites, including monuments, the ancient city wall of Guangzhou, and the old square fort. In addition to viewing the Guangzhou city skyline on its viewing platform, you can also take the Ferris wheel on the Guangzhou Tower. Unlike other Ferris wheels, the Guangzhou Tower Ferris wheel runs on a sloping track, and it is rare to see such a high-altitude horizontal Ferris wheel. There are 16 transparent crystal ball cabins on the Ferris wheel. Sitting in the cabin, you can see the beautiful scenery of Guangzhou slowly rotating in front of you. Guangzhou Chimelong International Circus has an overall rating of 4.7, making it one of the top-rated circus performances in China. It was selected as one of the world's 100 must-see nighttime attractions in 2026, boasting a 94% positive review rate. While some controversies exist, the review can be analyzed from two perspectives: strengths and areas for improvement. Core Highlights * **High-Quality Performance:** Featuring a professional performance team of over 300 people from different countries, the performers possess solid skills and there are no filler acts. The revamped "Magic Legend III" in 2025 introduced the highly difficult "pole-cranking" stunt, a first in China. The high-altitude acrobatics and magic wheel performances are thrilling and exciting, with a constant stream of climaxes, earning it the title of "the pinnacle of circus entertainment" from many visitors. * **Immersive Audiovisual Experience:** The venue is a Guinness World Record-certified super-large circus building, with a stage area of 13,000 square meters and a capacity of nearly 8,000 spectators. With top-notch lighting and sound effects, combined with bubble shows and themed parades, the atmosphere is incredibly immersive, captivating children and providing adults with a truly magical experience. * Suitable for all ages: As Chimelong Resort's flagship nighttime attraction, it's perfect for families with young children, as the numerous adorable animal performances will keep kids entertained throughout. It's also ideal for couples and families, making it a great choice for evening relaxation after a daytime visit to Chimelong. * Viewing-friendly design: Some shows are located in the central aisle area...

If it's your first time visiting the Canton Tower or Guangzhou, I highly recommend it. The Pearl River cruise is beautiful, especially the buildings near the Canton Tower, which are stunning when lit up at night. However, the area on the west bank, all the way to the Zhongda Wharf, is a bit less impressive and more ordinary. Overall, though, it's still a great experience. We stayed at the outdoor tea house on the third floor, which had a particularly good view.

In 1859, during the reign of Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty, British official Burke proposed setting up a concession in Shamian. The Governor-General of Guangdong and Guangxi, Lao Chongguang, readily agreed, promising that the Chinese side would first excavate a 30-meter-wide, 1200-meter-long canal (today's Shaji Canal) north of Shamian to separate it from the mainland. Two bridges would be built across the canal, one connecting to the west embankment and the other to Shaji Road. Shamian boasts over 160 years of history, and the Shamian West Bridge, the stone steps, the iron cannons, and numerous Western-style buildings are the best testament to this.

The location is a bit remote, and since birds are generally timid, it's normal that there aren't many birds there. It's a great place for families to watch birds. There are no cages or glass enclosures; you can get up close and personal with the staff.
