Gyeongbokgung Palace is located in the center of Seoul and was the first palace built during the Joseon Dynasty. The name "Gyeongbok" is derived from the phrase in the Book of Songs, "May the nobleman live ten thousand years and receive great blessings," embodying the royal family's wish to share peace and prosperity with the people. The palace offers charming scenery throughout the four seasons: cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, fragrant ginkgo trees in fall, and snow-covered landscapes in winter, resembling a piece of jade. Many Korean dramas, such as "Dae Jang Geum," "Rooftop Prince," and "My Love from the Star," have been filmed here. Gyeongbokgung Palace has Gwanghwamun to the south (the main entrance, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, outstanding architecture, and elegant design), Geonchunmun to the east, Yeongchumun to the west, and Sinmumun to the north. Watching the royal guard-changing ceremony is a must-see. ,South Korea · Seoul

I visited Jeju Island during my trip to South Korea. Located in southwestern South Korea, Jeju Island is the largest island in the country and its only special autonomous province. The direct flight from Guangzhou to Jeju Island takes about two and a half hours. Jeju Island is famous for its volcanic landscape and mild climate, earning it the nickname "Korea's Hawaii." In 2007, its natural landscapes, including Hallasan Mountain and lava caves, were listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Famous attractions on the island include Hallasan Mountain, lava caves, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, and the Olle Trails, among others.

It's quite fun. There are lots of different rides and facilities, making it suitable for families with children. There are also shows at night. The only downside is that it gets very crowded. The better rides have long queues.

Having tickets ahead of time was a great time saver. We bought the all stop ticket so we were able to hop off and get back on at our leisure. The glass bottom sky walk and twin lighthouses were very pretty. We didn’t take it all the way to the end as we needed to go back towards Gwangali Beach and Mipo station is much closer. The view along the tracks is beautiful. And the announcements/information is in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. It was very informative.

The weather wasn't great, otherwise the scenery would have been even more beautiful. The Crystal Cable Car offers views of the sea below, but the height is manageable, so it wasn't too scary. There's a park at the top of the mountain, but the climb was too tiring, so we skipped it. The area in the first picture was closed, so we couldn't go there. They even gave us a lollipop.

In the height of summer, Seoul Tower is more tiring with its uphill climb, but less of a hassle waiting for the cable car. It's a must-see attraction for first-time visitors. You can choose whether or not to go up the tower at your own expense; it's similar to the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai. The all-glass bathrooms inside the tower are a major highlight! 😂

Big, beautiful and bustling! The palace is so spacious with so much to see and wander through. It can take you a couple hours but it’s wonderful and vibrant. I wish there was more historical information but it seems like it is being expanded in some ways. There’s tons of tourists and pretty places to take so much photos. If you wear traditional clothing, you get in for free!

It's a very nice place, and I like that Koreans preserve their history, preserve their houses, and live in them. I recommend not lingering on the main street, but rather, going deeper into the area where you'll find museums and more unique, less touristy places you can stop in and stroll around. But be polite and don't make noise, because that's where people live.
