Things to do in Shanghai

The Bund's night view truly deserves its reputation as the best night view in China! A gentle breeze caressed the river, and the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River was breathtaking. I spent an unforgettable night in Shanghai!

Shanghai Disneyland is definitely worth a visit. Even though I've been several times, every time I step into the park and see that fairytale castle, I'm still filled with a sense of healing. My favorite rides are Pirates of the Caribbean and TRON Lightcycle Power Run; the immersive experience is amazing, and I never get tired of them. The parade and the evening fireworks show are must-sees—the atmosphere is incredible. The staff are also very friendly and patiently answer any questions I may have. No matter how many times I come, I still feel happy.

Good food and a fun experience, but more of a digital showOverall, I think it was a good experience. The food quality was good, and the portions were generous enough to be filling. Everything we had was delicious and well-presented.That said, I felt the performance aspect was slightly lacking. It relies quite heavily on digital effects and projections rather than live human performances. So, in a way, it felt more like having dinner inside a 3D movie theatre than watching a traditional live show.The location is another plus. It’s conveniently located near The Bund and Nanjing Pedestrian Street, so it’s easy to include this as an ending destination after spending the day walking around the area.Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a combination of dinner + visual entertainment, but go in expecting more of a digital immersive experience rather than a live performance.

Bringing kids to Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl Tower is a must-see! We bought tickets for both spheres. The 263-meter main observation deck offers a panoramic view of the Lujiazui skyline and the Bund's old buildings. The kids were incredibly excited, peering through the glass at the "toy-like cars." The 259-meter all-transparent suspended walkway was a bit thrilling; some brave kids even pressed themselves against the glass, making this mom's legs weak, but the photos turned out great. The Shanghai Urban History Development Exhibition Hall at the base of the tower is well-air-conditioned and features old Shanghai street scenes, making it more rewarding than just sightseeing. It's a great family trip, but I recommend visiting during off-peak seasons to avoid the crowds on holidays.

A very enjoyable tour around temples, gardens and rock formations.

Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park is a great place for families and young people to visit, where you can encounter a variety of marine creatures. You can see adorable pufferfish, schools of fish, and observe the fine textures of starfish up close. The underwater volcano sculptures are also very atmospheric and perfect for taking photos.

The Shanghai LEGOLAND Hotel is truly a paradise for children. The entire stay was filled with emotional enrichment, and the kids felt their time there was too short. They hope to return someday. We visited Shanghai Wild Animal Park during the National Day holiday and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded, despite the holiday. The park is huge, so there's plenty of space to explore without feeling packed in.Everything was very clean and beautifully maintained. All the animals looked well-cared for, healthy and active. We even got to feed the red pandas and kangaroos, which was a real highlight.We also visited the circus and bought tickets right on the spot , no need to book in advance.There are plenty of areas to grab food, and you can easily buy water and snacks throughout the park. Restrooms are frequent and easy to find.We spent the whole day there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Tickets are 180 RMB for adults, and the photo service isn't free. The Duoyun Academy next door offers better value, but most tourists don't know about it; it's just more expensive, after all, it's China's tallest building!

It was pretty good. The fireworks and light show around 9 PM was the best. It was packed with people during the day; reliable sources say over 50,000 people visited on the 6th. I did most of the rides I wanted to see. A tip: to get a good spot in the Magical Garden early for the fireworks, go early. I arrived at 8:30 PM and could only get a good view from the bridge; the view wasn't great and was blocked by lights and signs. Overall, it was still a good experience.
