I had a pleasant stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful, spacious & clean room. The only thing is, breakfast spread might need to upgrade as it is too limited foor available. No pastries like croissant, baguette bread. Spread only consist limited main course, egg station. Hope i could get more varieties on my 3rd visit if any.
Room age and looks old especially the flooring SPC wood layer already peeled out and loose after we accidentally kicked on it near balcony, but is broken easily due to rain water seepage in from balcony and luckily our feet didn't get hurts after accidentally kick on it, also in detachable condition so really deteriorating . Took RM100 deposit upon check in and we worried they will blame this on us but luckily they didn't say anything.
I hope the management will at least change the flooring, as it can pose dangerous risk and don't let bad things happen over only regret over it.
Breakfast is included, under age 5 is free.
We were travelling on a rented motorbike from Penang to Ipoh just for a day visit to some restaurants we know. Along the way it rained heavily as we were about 20min from Ipoh. I decided to use Trip.com once again, and find a cheap hotel.
My goodness, what a marvellous surprise for both of us, as it turned out to be such a lovely experience, almost like a 5 star hotel……
The room was gorgeous and facing mountains (west). Everything was perfect and clean. Bed & pillow were clean, smooth sheets and mega comfy!
We didn’t eat at their restaurant, but looked nice (see photo).
We will stay again, when we are back to Ipoh. PERFECT!!
A great hotel, very clean, room fully equipped, new, spacious and most of all the staff are very friendly, warm and service have been outstanding. I stayed on 8th floor and room had a great mountain views, thanks hotel. Highly recommend!
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights.
The room furniture is slightly old but still ok to stay.
The staff are friendly & helpful.
The location is great, surrounded by mall & eatery. There is a market behind the hotel. Walkable to Taiping Lake.
Hotel very near to sightseeing places.
What’s good:
📍 Convenient location — easy to get around Ipoh, Grab is readily available
🧹 Clean room — hotel isn’t new, but cleanliness is acceptable.. Don't expect too much.
🧾 Smooth check-in — front desk was efficient, no unnecessary delays
💰 Good value — fair quality for what you pay
What to manage expectations on:
⚠️ Interior is a bit dated, don’t expect a modern or boutique vibe
⚠️ Facilities are basic — this is not a resort-style hotel
⚠️ Sound insulation is average; light sleepers should take note, can hear the bike downstair even T 6 Floor
Recommended for:
Short stays or business trips
Food-hunting trips in Ipoh
Travelers who prioritize cleanliness, location, and price
Not ideal for:
Staycations or romantic getaways
Guests looking for Instagram-worthy interiors
Those expecting premium hotel amenities
⭐ Final Take
Hotel Regal Vista Ipoh is a “safe choice” hotel.
You won’t be wowed, but you also won’t regret booking it — as long as your expectations are realistic.
My booking come with Breakfast.. again don't expect too much
The hotel room is providing advance technology like Bluetooth mirror and toilet… there free snacks from the hotel and there facial scans for easier convenient.
A new hotel, however, there is no dedicated indoor parking. Very limited dedicated outdoor parking lots in front of the building. You have to park freely around the building. There are 2 government buildings on the left and right of the hotel. So you can imagine how difficult it is to find a free parking space.
Bilik no window so a bit confined
No soundproofing, can hear indian guest next door talking loudly at 12am
Room got smell, like old room smell (kepam)
Aircond is cold. Good
Chair in the room, the screw is loose. Troublesome to sit coz afraid might fall from the chair
Room's paint started coming off👎🏻
I was here 2-3 times already but sadly this time a bit disappointing
But staff's service is good
Basically the hotel is ok in term of location and service. If they can improve below 2 items then it is even better.
a. Breakfast choice. Maybe i stay at monday but its choice is really limited.
b. Swimming Pool. If the close time can be extend to 10pm instead of 7pm then it is good.
Very Good

NnrdynaaaaaWe had a lovely stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut 🤍
The resort is peaceful and surrounded by nature perfect for a short family getaway to unwind from city life. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and waking up to the greenery and sea view was truly refreshing.
What we enjoyed most was how kid-friendly the resort is. The kids had so much fun with the pools and outdoor spaces, and we could actually relax knowing they were happy and occupied. Breakfast was good with a decent variety, and the staff were consistently warm, polite, and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both adults and kids. A great choice for families looking for a calm beach resort vibe. We’ll definitely consider coming back

1110001****This new hotel is truly new and luxurious! The location is excellent, and the facilities are comprehensive. The swimming pool is huge. Check-in was very smooth, with three front desk staff assisting, so there was almost no wait. There are also many elevators, which is very convenient. The breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options. The front desk service was superb, making us feel right at home. Even though we only stayed one night while passing through, it was very memorable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Ipoh.
DDarren SawWe stayed in the 2-Bedroom Deluxe Suite (Horizon View) at TUI BLUE The Haven Ipoh and truly enjoyed our time here. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and stunning scenery, offering a peaceful and refreshing environment. The swimming pool is lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, and the simple breakfast.
Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant stay for my family — perfect for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty around the property.
VVincent_TanThe hotel claimed has reburbished… is a mixed feeling.
Location is great, crew service is good, breakfast section is good…
yet need to pay more attention to the neatness of upkeeping the room and maintenance… such as photo attaching… chipped mark of the door frame and surface, not sure is uncleanliness of uneven of painting, teared off of the wall paper, dirt and scratch marks on walls and linings, still using the plain carpet floor, which with some undescricabl“smell” especially if the moisture sill trapped, loud sound from the rest room ventilator, weak air flow of the hair blower… etc.
Used tone one of the preferred hotel in Ipoh… hope the management truly look into the details.

FFakhri1190The hotel was amazing, a customer service was at the top level explaining things, Even give me a courtesy late check out at 1pm. Seriously the best hotel I stayed in a couple of year. Kudos to front desk staffs for their ways to go beyond further.
FFlorrrrinaThe location is very close to Ipoh Old Town, within walking distance. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs which is very convenient for buying things. The hotel stated that Chinese speakers were welcome, but I didn't encounter anyone from the front desk to housekeeping who spoke Mandarin. If you don't speak any English, I'd advise caution before choosing this hotel. The hotel entrance is on a main road, which isn't very pedestrian-friendly, but that's how it is everywhere in Malaysia, constantly crossing roads. Breakfast was just okay; I reckon most people won't be used to it, but they did have common items like fruit, cereal, and bread. The facilities list mentioned a laundry room, but there wasn't one. If it's not available, it shouldn't be advertised. However, the staff in the lobby, including the front desk, security, and housekeeping, were all very nice and friendly, which was good. It's just a standard budget hotel, and the cleanliness is acceptable. If you don't expect too much, it's a decent place to stay.
