We really loved the hotel. The service was excellent, and the room cleaning was perfect. If you’re interested, our room was very spacious with a gorgeous bathroom, fully stocked with all the toiletries and even pajamas. There was also a massage chair and every possible comfort — simply amazing. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the metro; maybe there are some bus routes, but we used the metro. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much!
The hotel is visible right from the subway exit, and public transport nearby is very convenient. There's a convenience store downstairs. The room was a bit bigger than the ones I've stayed in during my trip to Kyoto and Nara. The front desk staff were great; check-in was smooth even though I don't speak Japanese.
This is a great option if you want a budget option that is still reasonably comfortable and clean. You get a physical key as the room key and there and then you know that it is a dated hotel. And that also means anyone can access the hotel room floors, and thankfully, there was no security issues throughout our stay.
Besides that, the hotel room amenities are acceptable and we enjoyed using the bathroom supplies very much. We booked the Large Twin Room which also means our bath area and toilet are in separate rooms, which is great. The bathroom has the traditional bath house concept with the stool and low mirror, which made our bath time fun for the kids and interesting for adults.
We like that fresh towels were provided daily even if we put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door knob. Housekeeping would leave the items in a plastic bag outside your door, including bottles of mineral water. Yes, bottled water is provided for free here, which is perfect.
The hotel staff were very friendly. Lifts were spacious and worked perfectly. There were no bugs in the room. Our non-smoking room also smelled fine - no odd or bad smell/odour. The location is also easy for taxi drivers to find.
There's also a Family Mart and 7-11 less than 5 minutes away. While you're there, check out Yakinikukotora, just 5 minutes away - a great place to go for dinners and suppers; I believe they close at 3am.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it's always child-friendly and highly rated. The rates are reasonable, and the surrounding area is great for shopping, leisure, and entertainment. I think it would be even better if there was a place to buy souvenirs inside the hotel.
Although the room was small, I have to commend the separate bathroom and toilet. The location is truly excellent, right next to Kintetsu Nara Station, making it super convenient for trips to Kyoto or Osaka. Kofuku-ji Temple, Nara Park, the National Museum, Todai-ji Temple, Mount Wakakusa, and Kasuga Grand Shrine are all within walking distance. Self-service check-in, check-out, and luggage storage are available, and you can call a staff member via the machine if needed. Highly recommend!
The 12 tatami room was very spacious and clean, and the room smelled refreshing. Moreover, Japanese hospitality and their attention to detail made the whole stay very pleasant. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. We also informed the Ryokan that this was our 6th anniversary trip and they gave us free photography, which was lovely! Location wise, it is conveniently located right next to Nara park, and just an easy 15min walk away from Nara station or 10min away from Kitetsu line.
Located a 6-8 minute walk from Nara Station, the hotel is right on a main street. It's surrounded by plenty of shops, making it incredibly convenient for both shopping and dining. Todai-ji Temple and Kofuku-ji Temple are also easily accessible. The place was clean, the front desk staff were very friendly, and they offered luggage storage before check-in. Overall, we had a very satisfactory stay.
Lagom Homestay enjoys a location in Yoshino, 24 miles from Kurohimeyamakofun and 24 miles from Mihara History Museum. The property is around 20 miles from Subaru Hall, 24 miles from Nara Station, and 24 miles from Tanpi Shrine. The campground features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking, and free Wifi.
At the campground, the units are fitted with a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. There's a seating and a dining area in all units. At the campground, each unit includes bed linen and towels.
The campground offers a buffet or Asian breakfast.
Guests can relax in the garden at the property.
Sakai Municipal Mihara Culture Hall is 24 miles from Lagom Homestay, while Hounzen-ji Temple is 25 miles from the property. Itami Airport is 47 miles away.
The location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.
The room is large, suitable for self-driving family travel. There are not many restaurants nearby. The hotel can make a reservation for barbecue, but it should be noted that you should make an appointment with the hotel three days in advance before entering. Pastoral scenery, you can see beautiful sunrise and sunset.

Amazing
GGuest UserFacilities: The hotel facilities are extremely clean.
Hygiene: Both the room and the hotel lobby are very clean.
Service: The service attitude is excellent, and the hotel receptionist speaks Chinese.
Environment: The surrounding environment is particularly good, close to Nara Park.
LLvxingdeyuzijiangThis hotel is incredibly close to Nara Subway Station, probably a 1-2 minute walk. On the first floor, you can pick up complimentary toiletries, and they have everything, even lotion, facial cleanser, and toner. It's super convenient for going out to shop and eat. To get a room like this for less than 500 yuan is fantastic value for money. The room is new, and although it's small, it has everything you need. Also, I highly recommend getting the breakfast – it's incredibly rich with both Japanese and Western options, and the variety is amazing.
LloydI've stayed at Novotel hotels all over the world and have never been disappointed; the brand consistently delivers. This particular one is very new, and the rooms are quite spacious and quiet. We were originally scheduled to check in at 3 PM, but the hotel let us in at 1 PM. Just outside, you'll find the beautiful Sahogawa cherry blossoms. The parking lot is also very spacious and convenient, costing 1500 JPY per day with unlimited in-and-out access.

EeddiehappyA hotel full of history as it has been the chosen venue for important events in Nara. Many celebrities had stayed in this hotel including Albert Einstein. Tried the rice lager at the tea house which is very good tgough some may find it not strong enough. The vicinity is nice. It is within waljing distance of the famous Nara Park. The room is spacious. Shuttle bus service to Nara station is excellent. Very helpful staff. An enjoyable stay indeed!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's front desk elevator is conveniently located just 10 meters from the JR Nara Station exit, so close you won't even get wet if it's raining. The location is incredibly convenient. The hotel has 60 rooms on one floor, but only one large public bath. This was the first time I've encountered a situation where even the lockers for clothes in the public bath were completely full.
AAnonymous UserHygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet
Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference
Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. They helped arrange the car to go up the mountain in the morning. It was very lucky to see 👀 deer🦌 on a rainy day
Food: Most of the food arranged is made from local ingredients in Nara. The ingredients are not gorgeous, the taste is OK, and it is more down-to-earth
Sslowly-rabbitThe room is quite big, and there is a small balcony where you can go out and get some fresh air. The chickens in the yard downstairs are sleek and shiny. They said there were four chickens, but I only saw three. The rice balls for breakfast are OK, freshly made by hand. It is within walking distance of Kintetsu Nara Station.
MM333179****My trip to Japan was so enjoyable largely because of this hotel! I was initially worried about the two Superhotels, but this one was fantastic! It's right across from the JR station, and the staff at the front desk all speak Chinese, and I heard they also speak Korean, Japanese, and English—amazing! Communication was completely seamless. During check-in, they explained everything in detail, including pillows, pajamas, combs, shampoo, and more! The breakfast was delicious and very Japanese, and I noticed many Japanese people choose to stay here, which was really great. Nara Park is also within walking distance. Overall, I had a wonderful time. I've already recommended it to everyone I know, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kansai—it's even cheaper than others! The rooms are small, but that seems to be a common problem with Japanese hotels.
GGuest UserFirst, the hotel locates next to the JR Nara Station which is easy for access. The cleanliness of the room was as good as other Onyado Nono hotels which I stayed before. The staff was very helpful and the services were good. However, the breakfast was quite disappointing me which the variety of food was little especially the types of sashimi were too little compared with other Onyado Nono hotels.
