This was the best hotel on my Kansai trip to Japan! The room was clean and comfortable – small but perfectly formed. The onsen (hot spring bath) was also incredibly relaxing and had a lovely natural feel to it. They even provided facial makeup remover in the changing rooms, which was super convenient.
I visited during the off-season, so the hotel wasn't crowded. Everywhere you looked, there were charming and thoughtful design touches, and it was immaculately clean.
The location is also fantastic, near several of Nara's transportation lines and the bus terminal. Plus, there's a small street right next to it with plenty of food options. This is definitely the hotel I'll stay at again next time I visit Nara!
Excellent location, right next to Nara JR Station, which is super convenient for travelers with luggage. After dropping off our bags, we easily walked through Sanjo-dori to Kofuku-ji Temple and Nara Park, passing by various shops and restaurants along the way. The hotel's self check-in and check-out machines were very efficient, even printing our breakfast vouchers automatically. The room size was just right, and the facilities were quite new. Highly recommend this hotel!
Great location a couple of minutes walk from the Kintetsu line station and tons of restaurants. Check-in was a fun and unusual experience! The room was spotlessly clean, the King bed was huge and the room was super quiet. All the amenities you could need: shrink wrapping clothes, microwave, laundry machines…and best of all free luggage storage. Had we realised this we would have saved the 2700yen we spent on lockers at the station. Breakfast had a great selection. We loved it so much we booked the Kyoto branch for our next nights stay, where we have just checked in to today.
This is a great option if you want a budget option that is still reasonably comfortable and clean. You get a physical key as the room key and there and then you know that it is a dated hotel. And that also means anyone can access the hotel room floors, and thankfully, there was no security issues throughout our stay.
Besides that, the hotel room amenities are acceptable and we enjoyed using the bathroom supplies very much. We booked the Large Twin Room which also means our bath area and toilet are in separate rooms, which is great. The bathroom has the traditional bath house concept with the stool and low mirror, which made our bath time fun for the kids and interesting for adults.
We like that fresh towels were provided daily even if we put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door knob. Housekeeping would leave the items in a plastic bag outside your door, including bottles of mineral water. Yes, bottled water is provided for free here, which is perfect.
The hotel staff were very friendly. Lifts were spacious and worked perfectly. There were no bugs in the room. Our non-smoking room also smelled fine - no odd or bad smell/odour. The location is also easy for taxi drivers to find.
There's also a Family Mart and 7-11 less than 5 minutes away. While you're there, check out Yakinikukotora, just 5 minutes away - a great place to go for dinners and suppers; I believe they close at 3am.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
The room was spacious, and the hot spring was wonderfully uncrowded and relaxing. Everything was very clean. There's free ice cream in the lobby, which was a nice treat after a hot spring soak!
The hotel is conveniently located near tourist attractions, and it's about a ten-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station. The service was excellent, and there's free coffee and tea bags available in the lobby.
The only downside was that the room wasn't very warm. In winter, cold air seeped in near the windows, and even with the air conditioning set to 30 degrees, it still felt a bit chilly.
We were here for our honeymoon and they very nicely gave us free drinks at their bar. Convenient and nice stay, with deers just right outside the restaurant. Breakfast was great! Very nice room and good to have a laundry at the basement. We really liked our stay a lot.
Hotel is a station away from Nara center.
We took bus or train. About 9 min away from station.
Hotel has specious and beautiful Lobby,
Rooms are very simple. Of course clean and neat as usually in Japan.
The location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.
This hotel is incredibly close to Nara Subway Station, probably a 1-2 minute walk. On the first floor, you can pick up complimentary toiletries, and they have everything, even lotion, facial cleanser, and toner. It's super convenient for going out to shop and eat. To get a room like this for less than 500 yuan is fantastic value for money. The room is new, and although it's small, it has everything you need. Also, I highly recommend getting the breakfast – it's incredibly rich with both Japanese and Western options, and the variety is amazing.
should consider this the best hotel around in nara town. nice environment, and nice service. the breakfsst varieties could have been a little bit more, and that would be wonderful.

LloydI've stayed at Novotel hotels all over the world and have never been disappointed; the brand consistently delivers. This particular one is very new, and the rooms are quite spacious and quiet. We were originally scheduled to check in at 3 PM, but the hotel let us in at 1 PM. Just outside, you'll find the beautiful Sahogawa cherry blossoms. The parking lot is also very spacious and convenient, costing 1500 JPY per day with unlimited in-and-out access.

GGuest UserGood ..The guide lady who helped show me the way was especially nice. She could even speak a bit of Chinese. She helped me get on the shuttle bus to the station. And the scenery around here is really amazing.
LlittlelukelookThis hotel is super conveniently located right next to JR Nara Station, making transportation a breeze. There's a 7-Eleven and a large supermarket next to JR Nara Station, which is really handy. You can also catch a bus right outside the hotel to Nara Park.
The hotel offers many optional services, showing great thoughtfulness.
The onsen (hot spring) experience was generally good. They even provided sleep aids like different pillows and sleep supplements.
My room was quite spacious for one person, though the facilities were relatively simple. The keyless entry with a password lock on the door was great as it meant I didn't need to carry a room card. The hairdryer was a Refa, and it was fantastic!
The best part was definitely the free happy hour at the restaurant in the evenings. There was a wide variety of drinks available, and many guests brought food from the convenience store to enjoy with their drinks.
AAnonymous UserHygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet
Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference
Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. They helped arrange the car to go up the mountain in the morning. It was very lucky to see 👀 deer🦌 on a rainy day
Food: Most of the food arranged is made from local ingredients in Nara. The ingredients are not gorgeous, the taste is OK, and it is more down-to-earth

KKinglumLoved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city
It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning
There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free
The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything
The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable
They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from
15:00pm-2:00am
Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!!
The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri
The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold
I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so
We can taste more flavors
And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish
Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go
Back again!!
Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night
MM333179****My trip to Japan was so enjoyable largely because of this hotel! I was initially worried about the two Superhotels, but this one was fantastic! It's right across from the JR station, and the staff at the front desk all speak Chinese, and I heard they also speak Korean, Japanese, and English—amazing! Communication was completely seamless. During check-in, they explained everything in detail, including pillows, pajamas, combs, shampoo, and more! The breakfast was delicious and very Japanese, and I noticed many Japanese people choose to stay here, which was really great. Nara Park is also within walking distance. Overall, I had a wonderful time. I've already recommended it to everyone I know, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kansai—it's even cheaper than others! The rooms are small, but that seems to be a common problem with Japanese hotels.
