This hotel seems to be operated by an old lady. After 8:00 in the evening, it is self-serviced into the hotel. In fact, it is still very good. The room is clean and tidy. If you need a place to stay one night on the round trip of Iceland, from Akureyri back to Reykjavik, Laugarbakki is the choice. Hotel choices are limited. This one is probably a reasonable choice. If you are seeking isolation and to see the beauty of the rolling hills of Iceland then this place is for you. There is not much around and the road is a dirt track for miles. It was peaceful and relaxing with lots of horses around. The facilities were clean and modern. The staff were super friendly and helpful!

Beautiful cottage and very helpful staffs. Highly recommended.
