The Conrad Hotel boasts an excellent location, overlooking the Shenyang Imperial Palace and Beiling Park, essentially placing it in the heart of Shenyang. The Executive Lounge offers superior service and a pleasant atmosphere. However, the breakfast selection on the 88th floor is somewhat limited. I suggest moving the check-in process to the concierge desk on the first floor. It would also be beneficial to have an elevator attendant at the transfer point on the 88th floor.

The hotel was very clean and conveniently located. What truly touched us was that we had booked a king-sized bed room, but upon arrival, they saw we were a family of three and upgraded us to a family room. The service was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jinzhou; you should definitely stay here.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right downstairs from Venice Water Town, which was perfect for my elderly parents. The afternoon tea was lovely and thoughtfully prepared! The room was clean and fresh. The service was excellent; they were so accommodating and let us check in early because we had a 90-year-old with us. Thumbs up! The facilities were great too – spacious, with a washing machine and fridge, everything we needed.

You can always rely on established hotel chains. We originally booked another hotel for our first night, but it was so bad that we switched to this one. **Amenities**: Although the decor is several years old, the facilities are still excellent and don't feel dated at all. **Hygiene**: The cleanliness in both the room and the lobby was impeccable. **Environment**: It's right next to Zhongshan Square, so the location is superb. Plus, there's a robot delivery service for food orders! **Service**: The service attitude, from the concierge to the front desk, was fantastic. They even upgraded our room. We'll definitely stay here again next time. Oh, and the breakfast was delicious!!

It's not in the villa area, but it's super convenient to go upstairs after enjoying the bathhouse. However, the check-in lobby isn't in the bathhouse building; you have to walk over there. So, if you have luggage, you might want to leave it at the bathhouse first, then go check-in, to avoid dragging it around. The breakfast spread is extensive, but children over 1.2 meters are charged 60 RMB per person. The kids absolutely loved the bathhouse! We got two free tickets upon check-in, and then another two around 10 AM on our departure day, valid until 6 PM. So, it effectively felt like the hotel was free – excellent value for money!

Overall, my stay at Le Méridien Shenyang was excellent. The location is superb, right next to the First Hospital of China Medical University, making transportation incredibly convenient. The hotel entrance is grand and stylish, and the lobby features a minimalist yet luxurious design. The front desk staff were very welcoming and efficient with the check-in process. My room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was good, and the facilities were complete. The room had great natural light and views, ensuring a very relaxing stay. It's a perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Now that my trip is over, I still want to review my stay. I chose this hotel because it was already in my favorites when I decided to visit Dalian. I picked it primarily for the scenic views, and indeed, the hotel's location and the room's view were quite good, and the staff service was okay. However, there were a few aspects that were rather mediocre. Firstly, the mattress and pillows. After a five-hour drive, I didn't get that comfortable, refreshing feeling when I lay down. The mattress even felt like it had a springy texture. For someone like us, who just wanted to relax at the hotel and explore a bit, this significantly impacted our travel experience. We stayed for four consecutive days, and every day felt like an endurance test; I even considered switching hotels for the last two days. Secondly, the shower. The overhead shower didn't work, so my 6'3” partner had to use the handheld showerhead, which was quite low, even for me. More importantly, the water temperature was unstable; for all four days, it kept fluctuating between hot and cold. Since showering isn't exactly the time to call for assistance, I just had to bear with it, dodging the water when it got too hot or too cold. Thirdly, breakfast and meals. Given the hotel's somewhat secluded location, I suggest they improve their dining options. On our first day, we had planned to enjoy a nice dinner, but there really weren't many choices. Also, for a resort hotel, breakfast ending at 9 AM is far too early. Even budget hotels like Hanting and Atour now serve until 10:30 or 11 AM. There were also some minor issues, like running out of complimentary water in the room. When we asked for more, the water provided wasn't the same brand as the original. Honestly, how much cost can they save by doing that? But it certainly detracts from the guest experience. I had initially hoped to make this hotel my go-to choice for future Dalian vacations, especially since it has its own small beach. I hope the owner collects guest feedback and focuses on optimizing the actual experience, especially considering the price point. This stay was definitely not as comfortable as the two days we spent in Shanhaiguan.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Happy Beach Gate 4, and within walking distance of Discovery Kingdom. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a sea-view room, which I really appreciated. However, I can't give a good rating for a few reasons: 1. As soon as we got to the room, I called the front desk for children's slippers and toothbrushes. After waiting half an hour with no delivery, I ended up getting them from a housekeeping staff member in the hallway. 2. In the afternoon, I called the front desk for disposable cups. Again, after waiting half an hour, they still hadn't arrived. I had to call again to follow up before they finally sent a robot to deliver them. We then left the room, and when we returned in the evening, we found two disposable cups sitting on the floor outside our door! Isn't putting paper cups on the floor unhygienic? 3. The hotel advertises free sand-digging tools. We stayed for two nights, and every time we went to get tools, they were either unavailable or broken! 4. Our room on the fifth floor wasn't particularly noisy, but as soon as you stepped out of the elevator, the hallway had an odd smell that I couldn't quite place. The bedding also felt damp, making for an uncomfortable stay. For a Trip.com 5-diamond hotel with such a prime location, this was truly disappointing. It seems you really do get what you pay for!

For families or those with kids, I highly recommend a sea-view room. My trip was quite spontaneous; I booked hotels last minute for all three nights. Honestly, the value for money here surpasses the Grand Hyatt, though it might not be as close to Xingyue Square. However, you can easily get around by taxi, or use the hotel shuttle to go down the hill. If the weather's nice, a leisurely stroll down is also enjoyable (you might even spot a deer along Binhai West Road – they're super cute! The complimentary apples from the hotel are a hit with them, even more so than carrots). Plus, the room views here are much better than the Grand Hyatt. Most Grand Hyatt rooms offer an angled sea view, whereas at Yi Fang Castle, the rooms generally face the sea directly, front and center. The service deserves five stars. The front desk staff were gentle and enthusiastic. When we had a minor issue with the toilet in our room, they were proactive in resolving it. They even followed up at check-out to ask about our experience and later called to apologize, concerned about affecting our stay. We only discovered the toilet lid was beeping around 11 PM. A technician came to look, but it seemed like it couldn't be fixed right away. We asked the front desk, and they immediately sent new room cards and upgraded our room. Though it was a small hiccup, we felt truly taken care of. Our whole family unanimously decided we'd stay here again on our next trip to Dalian. It's convenient whether you want to just relax or go out and explore. One small heads-up for those considering staying: the hotel has been open for a while now, so it has that classic, established luxury hotel style. If you prioritize modern facilities, you might want to consider other options. Hotels closer to Donggang tend to be newer. It really depends on individual needs. I'd recommend it to photography lovers, families with kids, and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We didn't dine at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. However, Dalian has many delicious dining options, and the city isn't too big, so you can easily find great food just by exploring.

I originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.
