Highly recommend overall! Make sure to book a river view room; the window view is like a painting. 1. Location: Right next to the Old Town, a 10-minute walk to the castle. You barely need to use public transport, your legs will do all the work. 2. Hygiene: Very clean and comfortable, even has a coffee machine. The only downside is no complimentary bottled water. 3. Late check-out was not possible at all, but they offer free luggage storage.

Samesun Montreal is hands-down my go-to hostel in the city. Every stay has been consistently great — welcoming staff, a fun atmosphere, and a layout that makes it easy to meet other travelers. The rooms and common areas are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the vibe is exactly what you want in a hostel: social but still relaxed enough to get a good night’s sleep. Whether I’m visiting Montreal for a quick trip or a longer stay, Samesun is always my first choice. Highly recommended!

I booked a room nearby because I was going to use the bus terminal! The terminal is the final stop for the airport bus, so it's easy to get to. ㅎㅎ However, this area is a bit quiet at night. ㅠ The layout is a bit odd, with floors 1.5, 2, and 2.5, rather than 1st and 2nd. Even if you take the elevator, you still have to use the stairs, which can be a bit inconvenient if you have large luggage. ㅠ Other than that, it's cheap, easy to get around the city, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It's a decent value hotel. Breakfast isn't anything special... just bread, coffee, and milk. ㅎㅎ Oh, and there's no fridge in the room, so if you need something, you can store it in the small fridge here after breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Frontenac. We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised to be offered an early check-in with a discounted upgrade to a king bed room with a view, which was a great start to our visit. The room itself was lovely. It is on the smaller side, but that is completely expected in a historical hotel and only adds to its charm. Everything was well maintained and comfortable. The service throughout our stay was impeccable. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The location is unbeatable and you truly cannot find a better spot to explore Old Québec and the surrounding area. It is on the expensive side, but if you are visiting for a short stay and want to make the most of your experience, it is absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend it for a memorable stay in Québec City.

Highly satisfied! The location is fantastic, offering convenient transportation and an abundance of excellent restaurants nearby – every single one we tried was great. This is a historic hotel, a century-old establishment with great character. The most invaluable aspect for us was being able to check in as early as 10 AM upon our arrival. This immediately helped us shake off all the fatigue from our early morning flight.

The hotel is close to the old town of Montreal and the main traffic artery in the city. It is easy to get in and out. It is convenient to walk 1.5 kilometers to the old town. The room we booked is equipped with kitchenware, which is convenient for cooking and changing tastes. The service staff is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. The parking lot is in the basement of the next door building. There is a height restriction. SUVs with a height of 1.9 meters should pay attention.

Good hotel. The bed is super comfortable, and the welcome and service are great. The hotel could use some updating, but it has all the comforts you need. It's extremely well located between Gatineau and Ottawa. There's indoor parking for $14. Very good hotel.

Room was clean and amenities were good. Had sufficient utensils and cookware for warming/preparing food. Bathroom supplies were above average and adequate. Staff were always courteous and helpful. Enjoyed out stay there. Only gripes are location is down the hill from the popular attractions, so had to climb up to go to those places. We didn't mind, but could be tedious for other, especially when there's snow; and our room was towards the back of the building with the gas station next door, which was busy and created a lot of noise. Other than these, the price was decent and close to bus stop.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, right next to the Plains of Abraham and the bar street. Parliament Hill is also very close. You can walk everywhere. The view from the room window is fantastic. However, the air conditioning is old and very noisy. Why wasn't the room cleaned on the second day? Is that common practice here?

While the hotel's exterior and interior are quite ordinary, its value for money is excellent. I appreciate that the staff were very helpful and didn't require a deposit. The bathroom was quite new and clean. Another great perk was the unlimited Western-style breakfast and drinks (a hot drink in cold weather is very comforting). The downside, of course, was the ventilation issue; the heater only blew warm air, so I had to open the window for circulation. Overall, I would recommend staying here.
