"Extremely close to the OBB train station and right next to a major bus hub, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions by bus or even on foot. The front desk staff proactively offered a free transport card during check-in, which was a nice touch! 👍 The hotel's decor is unique, and breakfast was good. Highly recommend staying here."

GGuest UserOnline in person registration should be illegal lmao, what are humans for then?
I agree with Pre online checking but in person online checking is kinda dumb.
Also want to mention that you guys send too much emails, especially annoying when its not translated into the traveler language.
Appart from that it was clean, simple but nice hotel.
I would recommend it, good value!
Lacks better luminosity in the bathroom. Toilets and sink area are too dark.
CCathyyC.I love this hotel a lot. it’s a small family owned one but very neat and tidy, breakfast tastes so good and the staff are all very nice. it’s around just 5 minutes walk to central train station which makes it so much easier for us after long whole day trips. It definitely worth staying!
GGuest UserThe room is a bit packed as the bed is super big. Having said that, the room is nicely designed and decorated. Free mini-bar with daily refill is rarely found in hotels in Europe.
The buffet breakfast is absolutely the highlight. The omelette is crispy outside and molten inside, preserving the freshness and original flavours of all ingredients. Must try!
All hotel staffs are polite and helpful.
In terms of location, whether or not it is convenience, it depends. It is in the middle of Salzburg central station and the old town, going to either location is about 12 minutes walk. Salzburg down town is not big anyway. Everything is in walking distance.
GGrace Li888Arte is conveniently located near the Central Station, making it easy to walk over with luggage. I chose this hotel because the room was spacious enough to open two large suitcases or more. The front desk staff were also very polite. We accidentally broke a coffee cup and saucer, but when we informed the front desk, they didn't charge us. All the mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's a coffee machine – highly recommended! The only downside is that the bathroom doesn't have a door, but since we're a couple, it wasn't an issue. If you're staying with friends and that bothers you, you might want to skip this place.
GGuest UserThe hotel allowed early check-in which is really impressive. I googled that this hotel was founded in 2024. This explained why the facilities and decoration were good.
What I requested during my booking online were all fulfilled. A big thank you to Harry’s Home!
The room is spacious and comfy. Having the toilet and bathroom separated is a very good idea. There are a lot of storage space.
Hotel location is very good too. Just five minutes of walk then you will reach the train station and bus terminus. Three minutes walk then you will be in a more with shops and supermarket.
The hotel staff members are all very nice and helpful.
TTravelshortsI am stayed at Hotel Mercure Salzburg City for two nights during my time in Salzburg, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring the city. What made the stay even better was being upgraded for free to a premium room, which included a complimentary mini bar — a very welcome perk after a day of sightseeing.
The premium room was spacious, clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and plenty of storage space. The free mini bar was a nice extra touch, allowing me to relax in the evening without needing to head back out for drinks. The hotel felt quiet and well-run, which made it easy to rest, even though it’s located in a busy and well-connected part of the city.
Location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s main train station, which is ideal if you’re arriving by rail or planning day trips to places like Hallstatt or Vienna. It’s also around a 15-minute walk to the centre of the Old Town, meaning you can reach Salzburg’s most famous sights — such as the Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress — without needing public transport.
Airport access is also extremely straightforward. Bus number 2 from Salzburg Airport stops just a minute’s walk from the hotel, making transfers simple, quick and inexpensive. This is particularly helpful if you have luggage or an early flight.
I would recommend Hotel Mercure Salzburg City to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel that balances convenience with good value. It’s not overly luxurious, but it offers everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable stay in Salzburg, making it a smart choice for both short city breaks and longer trips.
GGuest UserThe email response was incredibly fast, and being able to get the transport card in advance was super convenient. The service was excellent too. You can even get small toothpaste samples at the front desk, which is a rare and welcome perk when traveling in Europe.

AAnonymous UserThe young man at the front desk was very friendly and let us check in early. The room was quite spacious, clean, tidy, and didn't have any strange smells. The swimming pool is really small, more for kids. There's a construction site next door which is quite noisy, but the room itself was okay.
GGuest UserOverall, it was okay. There's a fridge and a kettle. The mattress was on the firmer side, which I prefer, and it was the most comfortable mattress I've slept on while traveling. However, I strongly recommend replacing the old pillow inserts; the filling has turned into clumps of cotton, and I had to fold a bath towel to put on top of the pillow just to make it usable. I had to specifically ask the front desk for the Salzburg tourist transport card; they didn't offer it proactively. The sink stopper needs to be pulled out to drain the water, and I'm not sure if it needs repair or if it's a unique design. There was a brown hair hidden deep inside the two-in-one shampoo and body wash bottle, which I only noticed after the first use. It would pop out when pressing the bottle and then retract after a while. At first, I thought it was just shower gel clinging to the nozzle, but then I clearly saw the hair follicle at the root. On the second day, I decided not to use the body wash at all.
