The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right inside the train station, with the front desk on the 3rd floor of the station itself. This was a lifesaver, especially on a snowy day, as I didn't have to drag my luggage far. Downstairs, there's a bus terminal where you can catch buses to Hakkoda-san and the Aomori Museum of Art.
The onsen (hot spring) is also excellent, but try to avoid the evening rush hour. After a relaxing soak, grab an ice cream from the fridge at the front desk and head to the lounge on the same floor for some juice or a beer – it's pure bliss!
The service was outstanding, especially from a long-haired Japanese gentleman and a South Asian woman with glasses at the front desk. Both spoke fluent English and were incredibly helpful, practically fulfilling every request.
The only minor downside was the daily housekeeping. I had a used contact lens that I'd left on the large bath towel, and the next day, it was still there, untouched. It seems the cleaning wasn't very thorough.
All in all, if you're visiting Aomori, you can't go wrong with this hotel – it's a guaranteed great stay!
Room is spacious. Have a sofa and coffee desk. This good for us to pack our luggage.Bed is comfortable for a good night sleep. Room have a good view of the sea. Breakfast japanese style with lot of varieties. Parking at hotel car park. Parking charge paid at reception when check-out.
Excellent location next to the JR station. Room is spacious, superior bathroom with double sinks. Breakfast is just amazing! Coin laundry very convenient
This is really a great hotel. Staff are all nice, hotel’s facility is also good. Free drink and snacks are available in hotel lounge. Highly recommended to anyone who planned to tour in Aomori!
My family and I stayed for a night at this hotel, but to our surprise, it was empty except for us. We opted for the full board package, which included breakfast and dinner. However, the meals were set meals for one person, unlike the buffet-style meals we’ve experienced at other hotels. This was not sufficient for our group.
The room has large windows and faces Shiwata Lake with a good view. Breakfast is simple with a few salads, and ingredients can be made homemade toasts and flying saucers. But dinner only provides seafood pot and free tuna fish stew rice, which is a bit disappointing for one berth and two meals.
This hot spring hotel is located on the top of a mountain. And it takes around an hour of driving up the hill in order to get to the hotel, but the view is completely worth it, the stars at night was so beautiful. The hot spring outdoor was comfy as well. However, the hotel didn’t have elevator, so maybe it’s best that you pack a smaller luggage. The dinner was verrrryyyyyy good and fresh, and the Aomori Apple beer that they had was sooooo goood. The buffet style breakfast offer different kinds of food too from English to Japanese. One thing that we are not a fan of was the blue indoor wear that they offer, as it didn’t look good and look like a massage therapist. Haha
I was very satisfied with the hot spring and the rice.
You can enjoy several baths and saunas in hot water that feels good on the skin, as it is said to be a beauty hot spring.
Although it is popular with many people who take a day trip to the bath, it was not crowded and I was able to enjoy it slowly.
For meals, we had breakfast, but you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Mutsu City from the top floor.
Although it was a half-buffet, there were many kinds, and I was able to enjoy delicious local foods.
The rooms are clean, and the hotel itself has been around for a long time, but it was very clean and nice.
If I go to Mutsu city again, I would like to stay there.
The hotel environment is more quiet than expected, as if you are in the nature forest. If you like a clean environment, you will definitely fall in love.
The room is big enough, the bathroom is small, and there is a smell, but it is acceptable.
All facilities seem to be very historical at first glance, but work hard to protect. Neatness is acceptable.
I stayed in a twin room (with a unit bath).
The hotel was very clean and the room was nice. The area near the entrance was spacious, making it easy to carry in luggage. The TV was large, so I was able to rest comfortably.
The only downside is that the toilets are small, so I'm hesitant to recommend this hotel to my overseas friends. Also, although there was a parking lot nearby, I had a bit of trouble finding it. As for the food, the photos on the website looked delicious, so I booked breakfast, but I didn't have time and couldn't eat it, so I'd like to go next time.

SSpyridoula DellaWe thought it's going to be fresh in August up the mountain but it wasn't. Very hot and without air-conditioning you'll be suffering. Rooms are tiny and it barely fit 4 people. Road to get there is rough so make sure you have an off road car (the last 5 min only). The onsen is insanely beautiful especially the women's. Food was pre-served and left out in the heat to stand. Didn't look particularly appealing. Shared bathrooms.
GGuest UserBreakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.
TThanathip MoolvongAlthough I chose this ryokan as alternative place but it turned out it is my best stay so far. It is not far from Kuroishi and it is accessible by public transport.
Room is very spacious and has both a bathroom and a toilet.
Onsen is good. It has both indoor and outdoor ones. Usually it is not busy.
Food was great both dinner and breakfast.
Free flow of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also included. Very generous.
Staffs are very friendly, although their English are very limited.
Extra 150 yen per person for onsen tax. Cash term only.
Cashless payment is available.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at this hotel on my last night in Aomori, and it was the most satisfying one. I had low expectations, assuming ski hotels would be old and deserted during the off-season. I was surprised by the modern, clean decor. The rooms were nice, with views of the sea and mountains. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, very good and plentiful, and the apple ice cream was delicious. You can play table tennis, there's an arcade game, and the outdoor hot springs are also nice. I'll probably come back during ski season for a wonderful experience. Suitable for self-drives.

GGuest UserIt's true what they say about an inn with a spectacular view.
The heavy rain that was falling when I checked in stopped the next morning, and I was able to gaze at the autumn-like sky and sea in front of my room for a while.
It had been a while since I'd stayed in a Japanese-style room, and I was able to enjoy local ingredients for both dinner and breakfast, making for a truly enjoyable holiday in Aomori.
It was also great that I was within walking distance of the prefectural aquarium.
There was a live Tsugaru shamisen performance in the evening, which really immersed me in the romantic atmosphere of travel and exceeded my expectations.
This is an inn that I would recommend to others.
