Extremely satisfied! The guesthouse owner personally escorted us to our room and gave us a detailed introduction to the local attractions and dining options, especially how to get to the beach and the best way to walk there. What's most noteworthy is how close the guesthouse is to the sea; you just walk out of the complex, cross the road, and you're there. The beach is beautiful; at sunset, the sea is bathed in a golden glow, even the waves shimmer with gold, and there are many small birds foraging on the sand. Strolling along the beach, chasing the waves 🌊, I was completely enchanted. In the evening, going clamming is an excellent choice, and the guesthouse thoughtfully provides tools and sand toys for kids free of charge. This trip was a bit rushed, so next time, I'll definitely make sure to set aside more time to play!

I was very satisfied with this hotel. Upon check-in, we received complimentary sand-digging tools, a bottle of Want Want milk, and a small bag of potato chips. It really shows how generous state-owned enterprises can be! The daily supply of mineral water was very generous, unlike other hotels that only provide two bottles. The bathroom was also very spacious. There was even a dryer, so clothes washed in the evening would be dry by morning. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious. The kids' play area was relatively clean and fun. The hotel is incredibly close to the beach; you just walk through the back garden, cross a road, and you're right there. My kids had an absolute blast! This time, I also got to see the Water Garden Villas, and I definitely want to try staying there next time.

I came to Changle for the You Shen festival and had an early morning flight the next day, so I specifically chose this hotel because it offered airport transfer service. The hotel's architecture is simple yet grand, and the lobby's glass is bright and sparkling. Overall, it feels high-end and refined, quite distinctive. The check-in process, from registration to getting the room card, was smooth and efficient, no long waits. Plus, my king-size room was upgraded directly to a premium room, which was a pleasant surprise! The staff, especially Peanut, noticed we had an early flight and thoughtfully gave us complimentary double breakfasts, ensuring we could fill up before starting a comfortable day! It's rare to find a hotel that's this warm and thoughtful. Definitely a five-star review. I'll choose this place again next time I'm in Fuzhou.

While the butler and customer service were great, and issues were handled promptly, the hotel's cleanliness was truly appalling. There was dust on the tables, and a layer of something (I assume dust, but it wouldn't wipe off) on the disposable toiletries in the bathroom. Plus, the previous guest's trash hadn't been emptied from the cabinets, and the microwave was damp and had an odor when opened.

## Review
**Facilities:**
1. The family sea-view room is long and narrow. Upon entering, there's a small bed, a sofa, and a desk, equipped with a TV and a separate bathroom (no shower). Further inside is the sea-view balcony king room, which has a walk-in closet, a private bathroom, and a bathtub. However, there's no sliding door between this room and the entrance room, and having two TVs feels a bit redundant.
2. The light switches are imprecise and a bit old. There's no separate switch for the entrance hall light! The central air conditioning makes noise if set to medium, with the baffles rattling loudly.
3. The number of robots is insufficient for a hotel of this size. For deliveries and takeaways, we often had to go downstairs to pick them up ourselves, or wait in a long queue.
**Cleanliness:**
Overall, the cleanliness was good, and housekeeping was prompt.
**Environment:**
The sea-view balcony offers a great view, with a distant sight of Little Kinmen.
**Service:**
The service was good and responses were timely. Overall, as a business-oriented hotel, it's a decent choice for families. The hotel also has dedicated children's play facilities, a swimming pool, and free sand-digging tools available for borrowing. A quick complaint: the hotel's food has a strong local flavor, but it needs to accommodate both northern and southern palates. Also, they should reduce the use of frozen and pre-made ingredients, as this significantly lowers the dining quality. I believe most guests, especially families, expect food that matches the hotel's quality. Quality shouldn't be sacrificed to cut costs; the price can be raised slightly instead.

This place is so nice, walked in and was instantly pleased. The location is great too, very close to the airport. So great for layovers, hail your cabs online because the drivers at the airport were trying to scam me saying it was 50-100 yuan and very far away but it only took 8 minutes to get here from the airport and with the app I use it cost me only 11 yuan.
Very spacious, clean and super comfortable. The projector in the room also and added plus.

1. Professional Service: The front desk staff were warm and polite, and check-in was very quick.
2. Environment and Facilities: The room had the signature Hampton style, clean and bright, with comfortable bedding and excellent water pressure in the shower – very relaxing after a long day.
3. Rich Breakfast: The breakfast had a wide variety of options, including local specialties, and items were replenished promptly.
4. Most Satisfying Aspect: Because I was in a hurry to catch my flight, I asked for an invoice during check-out. The front desk processed it almost instantly, sending the e-invoice to my email within minutes, without any delay whatsoever. This efficient financial processing ability is a huge plus! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xiamen for tourism or business.

An absolutely amazing stay, and I have to give a special shout-out to Annie!
My experience at [Hotel Name] was truly a pleasant surprise. From the moment I walked in until I checked out, I felt completely taken care of. Annie, in particular, deserves a special mention; she was definitely the 'highlight' of my entire stay!
The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was captivated by the ambiance. The spacious area, combined with artistic decorations, and the stunning, cascading crystal art installation overhead, created an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. It instantly melted away my travel fatigue. But what really confirmed I'd chosen the right hotel was Annie's service.
During check-in, Annie was incredibly warm and thorough. She not only took the initiative to explain all of the hotel's facilities and local attractions but also thoughtfully reminded me of important details. There was absolutely no perfunctory attitude, and her smile was so infectious, making me feel welcome immediately. Throughout my stay, no matter what I needed – extra toiletries, restaurant recommendations, or even last-minute itinerary adjustments – Annie was always there to respond promptly and resolve any issues efficiently and thoughtfully.
One evening, I wanted a hot drink. After contacting Annie, she not only quickly delivered it but also thoughtfully included some small snacks – talk about attention to detail! Later, I even forgot an item in my room, and Annie helped safely store it and brought it to me in a timely manner. Her dedication and responsibility throughout made me feel completely at ease.
Beyond the service, the hotel's environment itself is incredibly picturesque, with expansive outdoor views against a clear blue sky, and the artistic installations in the lobby are beautifully designed. It's not just a comfortable place to stay, but also perfect for taking photos. However, ultimately, a perfect stay is elevated by thoughtful service, and Annie, with her professionalism and passion, truly made this experience exceptional.
I genuinely recommend everyone to stay at [Hotel Name], and definitely seek out Annie for any assistance. You're guaranteed to receive incredibly warm service! I've already added this hotel and Annie's service to my list of treasured finds, and I'll definitely look for her again on my next visit!

Overall, it was a fantastic stay! The front desk staff were great, the room layout was excellent, and the location is perfect – close to attractions, convenient for dining and souvenir shopping, and really near the beach with beautiful sea views. The food and local specialties nearby are also very reasonably priced, offering great value for money. Plus, there's a buffet breakfast!

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.
YYoufengyatuiAs a standard high-rise hotel, the Conrad Xiamen is perfect for family trips. The overall experience was excellent, with great service. I'd definitely choose it again for my next visit to Xiamen.
**Room Amenities and Supplies:** The standard amenities for adults in the room were generally good. The decor is a little dated but very clean. Satisfactory.
**Children's Facilities:** I informed Isabella in advance that we had a child, and the hotel arranged a crib, a small tent, a chessboard, and a rocking horse for us. It was quite similar to what Waldorf Astoria provides. Our child absolutely loved the tent and wanted to sleep in it every day.
**View:** The sea view is irreplaceable! The sea-view rooms at the Conrad, given its location, always deliver. The stunning window view makes up for any older decor. This time, I didn't get to use the large sea-view bathtub, but I definitely will next time.
**Restaurant:** We received complimentary afternoon tea and happy hour, both on the 54th floor. Happy hour is actually a simple evening buffet, perfect for a light dinner after a big lunch out. There are also some alcoholic beverages available. I didn't try any this time.
**Gym and Pool:** I brought my gear but didn't have time to use them at all.
**Location:** Extremely convenient. It's less than a 30-minute taxi ride to the ferry terminals for Gulangyu Island and Heping Wharf. Xiamen University is also just over 600 meters away on foot. If you walk out and cross the road, you're at the scenic bridge. Walking south from the scenic bridge leads to a quiet beach with few people, which was much more pleasant than the crowded Baicheng Beach.
I brought two Jellycat toys for my child. One of them, a lively eggplant, went missing after a nap, and we couldn't find it when we checked out. The hotel staff helped us locate it wedged in a crevice. A big thank you to Isabella and the other colleagues for reuniting my child's eggplant toys!
Overall, I highly recommend the Conrad as the top choice for families traveling to Xiamen. 👍
GGuest UserI arrived at the hotel in the morning to check in. The room I booked wasn't ready yet, but after asking, I found out there was a family room available immediately. I decisively opted for it, and the handsome guy at the front desk even gave me a discount, upgrading me directly to a sea-view family suite. The room and all its facilities were clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The room offered a 180-degree sea view, with Gulangyu Island, Yanwu Bridge, the Twin Towers, the ferry terminal, and even warships all visible at a glance. Both the night view and the daytime scenery were absolutely stunning. The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient to go anywhere.
2203803****The Bayview B&B was definitely the highlight of this trip. The warm welcome from the front desk staff and the owner made me feel right at home, completely erasing any sense of unfamiliarity. The room was even more spacious than it appeared in the photos, with excellent natural light. The balcony view was an added bonus; sitting there in the evening, enjoying the breeze, was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was a delightful surprise – fresh ingredients and beautifully presented, really showing the owner's thoughtfulness. It's incredibly good value for money, and I genuinely recommend it to everyone! A special shout-out to the kind and attentive housekeeper, who provided such thoughtful service that it almost made me feel bad. Unforgettable! I'll definitely be back next year.
FFengjingmanyouzheI did a lot of research before coming to Xiamen and had a tough time choosing, as accommodation, food, and transport are all crucial parts of a trip. I'm so glad I finally picked the InterContinental Hotel!
The room was spacious and bright, with direct views of the sea and the Mazu statue. The high ceilings made the space feel even larger and very comfortable. The room was also very quiet, so I had an excellent rest.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, always proactively asking if I needed anything and doing their best to provide convenient services in every way.
The breakfast, buffet lunch, and executive dinner were all excellent, especially the pastries which were exquisite and delicious. I don't usually eat a lot of Western pastries, but the ones at InterContinental really suited my taste!
My week-long trip, from the city of Xiamen itself, its scenery, dining, culture, to the hotel I stayed in, was all delightful and enjoyable. It made me reluctant to leave this perfect holiday experience. If I ever get the chance to visit Xiamen again, the InterContinental Hotel will definitely be my first choice.

AAnonymous UserThe experience at the Xiamen Portman Seven Star Bay Hotel far exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself resembles a castle and even has its own 'Portman Town' connected by an electric shuttle, though it's only a 5-minute walk. Strolling through it felt like being in the world of Harry Potter, perfect for photos. We visited when it was decorated with a snowy theme, adding an extra touch of romance. Inside the hotel, you can even take pictures with 'walking' lions and leopards, which was a lot of fun.
The breakfast was incredibly rich, featuring a wide array of Chinese and Western dishes, hot and cold drinks, and thoughtfully included local Xiamen delicacies like satay noodles and oyster vermicelli soup. The dining environment was also very elegant. Our room was decorated in a vintage French style, spacious with an expansive view of the beautiful sea.
The hotel facilities were comprehensive and the entire place was clean and well-maintained. There's a gym, a swimming pool, a rock climbing area, and a children's water park. The hotel itself is an excellent vacation destination; with its French garden-like setting and various unique buildings, you could easily spend a day or two without even leaving. The complimentary travel photography service was also a thoughtful touch. Right outside, you'll find a seaside promenade with large lawns and coconut groves, and in the evening, you can enjoy music and fireworks at the beachside bar. The nearby Sunshine Town food street offers delicious local cuisine, with the pan-fried red paste crab being particularly tasty.
In summary, this is an excellent choice for a leisurely getaway. If you visit outside of peak holiday seasons, the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommended!
JJogger91Okay, but much better options exist if you have the money and book in advance.
First of all, its a separate class of hotel situated within the very same Marriot (which is higher end), so consider this a class below the actual Marriot. The exit is separate, and leads mostly to nowhere, and you will most likely enter the real Marriot part of the building at first, but thankfully staff knows this is a common mistake and leads you through a small hallway of about 200m to the other reception where you will be greeted by just as professional staff.
They don't include any toiletries but will deliver them swiftly to the room door if you need any, I guess its ecological, in their mind, but practically..ultimately pointless and saves no one's time and energy.
The room itself is a bit of a step down from regular 4* chain hotels - the size, the leather on the furniture is torn and worn a bit, and it shows its age and class. There are similarly priced competitors within the same 1-2km range, who do a much better job, plus better view, for a few bucks more. It should be priced a bit lower in order to be a good deal and vibe for the money. Ultimately an okay hotel, no one will be disappointed, but the value to me just isn't there, and the real Marriot is in the same building, but you are getting the cheaper version of it, watered down.
CCherry KenThis stay was truly satisfying, exceeding my expectations. We've traveled to many countries and stayed in numerous five-star hotels over the past few years, but this hotel has something truly unique and memorable: a dedicated service group for guests.
Often, guests do have needs, but they might be reluctant to communicate them repeatedly or feel awkward asking. With this service group, however, any request can be communicated directly at any time. Responses are almost immediate, and issues are resolved quickly. This level of efficiency and attentiveness is really rare.
What was particularly helpful was that we bought a lot of items, and the hotel was able to receive our packages and deliver them directly to our room, which was incredibly convenient and reassuring. In contrast, at some five-star hotels in China, you'd often have to go to the front desk or a designated area to pick up your deliveries. The service experience here is noticeably more detailed and personalized.
Furthermore, the room itself was a major plus. It was very spacious, with a well-designed and comfortable layout. The bathroom featured a semi-open design, allowing for direct sea views from the bathtub, complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows that offered expansive vistas. The overall decor was modern yet distinctive, with excellent attention to detail, making for a very relaxing stay. The bedding was also very comfortable, contributing to an extremely pleasant overall experience.
Overall, from the facilities to the service details, you can feel the team's dedication. This is a hotel that truly delivers on ”customer experience.”
A highly satisfying stay, strongly recommended. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Xiamen. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
GGuobao^_^Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The pier is about 500 meters from the entrance, and it's just a fifteen-minute boat ride to Xiamen No. 1 Pier, making it easy to go anywhere. A concierge even proactively helped us with directions to the pier; he was really enthusiastic 👍. The ferry ticket to Gulangyu Island was only 35 RMB, and the hotel breakfast was decent too.
Regarding the upgrade to a deluxe sea-view room (subject to availability on the day): I booked a superior sea-view room, and the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe sea-view family room.
For the mini-bar, you need to proactively contact the front desk for refills.
Also, for the cute little souvenir doll included in the package, you need to ask the front desk for it.
It's a really adorable doll 🥰
GGuest UserThe room was spacious with a great view from the window! The location is excellent, right outside the subway station, which is super convenient.
Service: The staff were friendly and resolved issues quickly.
Breakfast: The buffet on the fifth floor had a wide variety of options, and the Shacha noodles were delicious.
