Xiyue Minnan Courtyard Hotel

The hotel is located right in the old town, but it's super convenient, with Zhongshan Park right outside the door. They upgraded me to a private hot spring room, which was so relaxing – I could soak in the hot spring right in the courtyard. The hotel architecture is beautiful, and you can go up to the rooftop for some amazing views. It's lively yet peaceful at the same time.

I genuinely recommend this hotel; it was such a comfortable stay, and everything was superb! The cleanliness truly exceeded expectations – it was meticulously clean! The room was spotless, inside and out. The bedding was white and soft, with absolutely no strange odors. The bathroom was sparkling, with no dust even in the corners and crevices. Every nook and cranny was perfectly cleaned, making the stay very reassuring. This attention to detail is a huge plus. The environment was also excellent. The overall decor was simple and comfortable. Public areas were spotless, and the hallways were quiet, not noisy at all. The room had great natural light and was spacious, making it very pleasant to stay in, with no cramped feeling whatsoever. All the travel fatigue just melted away. And the service was incredibly attentive. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and all the staff members had wonderful attitudes – gentle and patient. They responded promptly to any requests, making me feel welcome and at home throughout my stay. In summary, I couldn't find a single fault with the cleanliness, environment, or service. It offers great value for money, suitable for both leisure and business travelers. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit. Highly recommended!

This was the most expensive and worst service I've experienced among the four B&Bs in Zhangzhou… I’m not nitpicking, but at this price point, the service attitude really needs to match, and it wasn't just a small flaw, the entire service was a disaster. 1. The homepage advertised a pick-up and drop-off service, but when I called the day before, I was told they only pick up from a nearby parking lot??? So why advertise it then? 2. Although all the complimentary services were listed on the homepage, the front desk didn't proactively inform me about them. Isn't good service about thoughtfully telling customers all their options? Do I need to actively inquire when I'm tired and busy as a tourist? 3. The front desk staff lacked initiative; with all my luggage, they didn't even offer to help carry anything. 4. Both Quanzhou and Zhangzhou seem to have this problem: most hotels and B&Bs have projectors installed right above the bed. This is a huge safety hazard, and I didn't dare sleep with my head under the projector a single night. 5. The projector and screen compatibility was poor, and I couldn't find anywhere to adjust the screen size. All the hotel's amenities were just for show, nothing more to say. (Here’s a picture of service from another B&B – they don't advertise any services on their homepage, but *that’s* what I call service.)

Since they have mobility issues and need a wheelchair, I was worried about the inconvenience of travel and accommodation beforehand. I had been communicating with the hotel about various matters before our departure. To my surprise, our entire stay was exceptionally comfortable, and I genuinely give it a full five-star rating! The hotel's location is excellent, situated right in the heart of the ancient city. As soon as you step out, you're on the old streets and alleys, with all sorts of Minnan specialty foods and popular photo spots close by. It was incredibly convenient to explore with a wheelchair. While it was lively and bustling outside, the courtyard was serene and quiet. It's an authentic Minnan ancient house courtyard style, with an elegant and clean environment. The greenery was meticulously maintained, making for a beautiful and healing landscape. What touched me the most was the hotel's thoughtful consideration for guests with mobility challenges. The accessibility features were very well-implemented. The courtyard pathways were flat and smooth, with no steep inclines, making it effortless to push a wheelchair in and out. The corridors were wide and open, allowing for easy and stable passage. When the front desk staff saw us with our elderly parents in a wheelchair, they immediately came over to offer assistance. They were enthusiastic and meticulous throughout, with a warm and polite attitude. During check-in, they prioritized a low-floor room on the first floor for us, avoiding stairs and complex routes, which greatly facilitated the seniors' movement. The room was spacious and airy, spotlessly clean, with soft and clean bedding. The mattress was neither too soft nor too firm, making it exceptionally comfortable for my parents to rest. My family all said they slept very well. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the floor was anti-slip, with every detail considering the safety of the elderly. The hotel's service was so meticulous it was heartwarming. Knowing my parents had difficulty walking, the staff proactively slowed down their speech, patiently asked about their physical condition, and repeatedly reminded them to be careful on the stone paths in the courtyard. Throughout our stay, any request we had was met with immediate and quick responses. They were very enthusiastic about helping deliver items and assisting my parents. When we returned from outings, they would always proactively offer warm tea, asking if my parents were tired from their journey. Their sincerity and genuineness were truly commendable. After a tiring day of sightseeing, the hotel's natural hot spring, with its comfortable and gentle water temperature, was a great relief. Soaking our feet after returning helped us relax significantly. The breakfast selection was rich yet light, catering to my parents' dietary preferences. The ingredients were fresh and healthy. When the staff heard we had high blood sugar, they specially prepared low-sugar meals for us. From the service details, their warmth was evident in every aspect. I initially thought traveling with elderly parents in a wheelchair would be problematic, but thanks to the comprehensive facilities and warm service at Xiyue Hotel, our entire experience was beautiful, clean, with human-centered facilities and warm, attentive service. Every aspect was impeccable, and it offered excellent value for money.

The room came with an outdoor hot tub, was clean, and had a modern design. However, the parking lot is located on the edge of the scenic area, and I suggest the platform notify guests of this in advance.

The courtyard garden is beautiful, offering a peaceful and comfortable environment. The rooms are well-equipped and provide a very pleasant stay. Plus, you can enjoy the hot springs to unwind after your travels. The staff are incredibly attentive; they offered fruit tea upon check-in and proactively shared sightseeing routes and recommended local attractions. Their attention to detail made for a wonderful overall experience and a very comfortable stay. A special shout-out to the concierge at the front desk: after checking out, I realized I'd left something behind, and the concierge not only contacted me but personally delivered it back. Their responsibility and thoughtfulness were truly heartwarming. From the environment and facilities to the service, everything was impeccable, making for an absolutely amazing experience. If you're visiting Zhangzhou, staying here offers incredible value for money!

Our stay at Xiyue Minnan Family Hotel in Zhangzhou Ancient City was fantastic! We arrived early, before check-in time, and the front desk staff kindly allowed us to check in early for free. The duplex loft room we booked was spacious and comfortable, with a small balcony. The room was quiet and elegant, and the overall environment was very pleasant. The hotel is located right inside the ancient city, with a food street just outside, making it very convenient for getting around. The night view of the ancient city was stunning. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Highly recommend this hotel! 1. The best thing is its location: inside the ancient city, the North Gate leads to the food street and is next to Taigu Bridge; the South Gate connects to Taiwan Road, making it super convenient to reach all the scenic spots and food areas in the ancient city within minutes! You can slowly experience the ancient city by day and night: mornings are peaceful but full of local life, where you can chat with residents and enjoy local breakfast in nearby streets to start a vibrant day; at noon, it's too hot, so head back for a nap and scroll through your phone; at 4 PM, head out to find food or a spot for coffee and just relax; evenings are all about the hustle and bustle! 2. Hotel environment: It has a courtyard design, with flowers and plants everywhere, making it a quiet oasis in the middle of all the action. It offers the warmth of a B&B with the management of a hotel! 3. Room: We chose the 3rd-floor LOFT, which gave the kids their own space. It would have been even more perfect if the view from the balcony was a bit better! The public area on the 2nd floor is also great, you could sit there all afternoon with a coffee or tea. 4. The ancient city offers a variety of snacks, so you can spend a whole day just walking, stopping, eating, and exploring 😁 Everyone can cross中山公园 (Zhongshan Park) to 青年路 (Qingnian Road) for more food! I recommend 锦群饭店 (Jinqun Restaurant); for a Cantonese foodie like me, it's right up my alley – large portions with that 'wok hei' flavor! It has that street-side stall vibe! We ate there two days in a row. Although the rating isn't high, I've included photos, so you can judge for yourselves.
