The bed and towels had stains. The towels had blood or some other red marks on them, and the vanity chair was incredibly dirty with red and black stains. However, we mostly used our own stuff, so it was okay. The bathroom and street had a vomit smell that wouldn't go away, even with air freshener. The water heater was broken at first but was fixed later, which was great – the hot water lasted a long time without turning cold quickly. But the water pressure from the faucet was very low. We requested room cleaning, and after being out for over 10 hours, the room still hadn't been serviced. The location is good if you have a car, but difficult to get around on foot. Parking is very limited though.
Reasonable price for the short stay your having. Clean hotel, cold room (have to give some time to cool the room). The facilities not much but still okay, have swimming pool and cafe. Location wise was super near to plenty of food restaurant’s nearby. Room comes with 3pax breakfast. Just poor in noise insulation and no fridge provided in room.

This time, my friends and I chose The Pines Melaka for our trip. The location is truly unbeatable, right in the city center, making it super convenient to get to all the main attractions and shopping malls. The room was quite spacious, and the staff were friendly. However, the facilities definitely show their age and could use better maintenance, and the cleanliness could be improved in some areas. Overall, it's decent value for money, especially if location is a top priority and you're not too picky about newer facilities.
When we arrived, we were surprised that this hotel is under the same group company, Hatten Group. So it has the same parking lot shared with Hatten Hotel. Different building though. The check-in was fast but only at 3pm. The room was extremely comfortable, bed was comfy, and the shower water is really strong. The room itself overall is very clean too and well-maintained. Price is very affordable even at high-season which makes it a very attractice stay. The breakfast is just average and a bit-tad too pricey at RM 35 p/pax since Melaka itself has an abundance of other eateries options. Will definitely return.

Bayview Hotel Melaka offers a pleasant and comfortable stay that covers all the essentials for a simple getaway. The room was clean and well-kept, providing a nice space to rest after a day of sightseeing. While the facilities are not particularly luxurious, everything functioned as expected and met the basic needs of a short stay.
The staff were the highlight of the experience. They were friendly, polite, and always willing to help whenever I needed assistance. Their warm attitude made the overall stay feel more welcoming.
The location is convenient, with easy access to Melaka’s main attractions such as Jonker Street and the river area. It’s suitable for guests looking for a fuss-free hotel that’s reasonably priced and comfortable enough for a couple of nights.
Overall, Bayview Hotel Melaka is an average but reliable option—clean rooms, helpful staff, and a good base for exploring the city.
The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free stay. The hotel provided a clean and quiet environment. The staff were friendly, and the location was convenient for getting around.

Good: The hotel has a great location and a stylish design.
Bad: The pond in the ground floor courtyard had a strong fishy smell. Our double room was at the end of the hallway (I've noticed this design in more than one hotel in Malacca), and the window faced another building directly, offering no view. It's a central water supply system, so arriving too late meant no hot water for a shower. In the middle of the night, the ceiling started leaking a bit, dripping onto the bed. The room phone was broken and couldn't reach the front desk.
Improvement: I mentioned these issues to the front desk when checking out, and they refunded me 50 MYR.

This hotel is a beautiful 10-minute taxi ride from Melaka Sentral. The front desk service was very warm and welcoming. I arrived quite early, and after I checked my luggage, it was already in my room when I checked in later that evening. Breakfast is à la carte, and the service was consistently good. The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to attractions like Jonker Street. There's also a fantastic char kway teow stall nearby that's open at night; a local taxi driver recommended it, and while there's often a long queue, it moves very quickly.

I stayed at Birkin International Hotel in Melaka from Tuesday to Thursday. As the hotel is still new, I understand that some facilities and security features may not yet be fully operational—for example, access control requiring a room card to enter guest floors. I also understand that, as a newly opened hotel, some rooms may not have undergone complete inspections.
Upon check-in, the first room assigned to us had several defects: the toilet basin was choked, and the basin handle in the small kitchen area had come off. We contacted the front desk for assistance regarding the choked basin, and they offered us a room change. A staff member whom I believe was the hotel manager came up personally, escorted us to another room, and informed us that we had been upgraded. We truly appreciated this gesture and the prompt service provided.
We checked in around 3:00 p.m. and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try the hotel food. We ordered two slices of cake, fish and chips, and pizza. The food was nice and delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed it.
However, I would like to highlight a concern regarding the breakfast experience. As this is a five-star hotel, I expected a high standard of hygiene with zero tolerance for flies in the dining area. Unfortunately, I noticed several flies during breakfast. On one occasion, during the nasi lemak service, I saw a fly land on a bowl of eggs. I pointed this out to the staff, but they only removed the piece of egg that the fly had landed on. This was quite alarming, and as a result, I did not dare to try the nasi lemak at all.
Later, I noticed one of the staff attempting to smash a fly while wearing gloves. This made me wonder whether the gloves would be changed afterward if the fly was successfully killed. This raised further concerns about food hygiene. Because of this, I became worried and chose to eat only items that were freshly cooked on the spot, such as curry noodles.
Overall, I felt disappointed with the breakfast hygiene standards and sincerely hope the hotel will take this matter more seriously. I believe Birkin International Hotel has great potential, and with improved attention to cleanliness and food safety, it can offer a much better experience for guests.

First, the good points:
1. It's quite close to the House of Holland attraction.
2. The room view was decent.
3. The swimming pool staff provided excellent service.
4. I liked their hotel's water bottles and the thick slippers.
Now for the unsatisfactory points, which were the most frustrating:
1. Since I was extending my stay, I specifically went to update my key card after 12 PM. When I wanted to return to my room after swimming, the door wouldn't open. I had to run down to the first-floor lobby in my swimsuit to update it. After confirming with the staff that both key cards were fine, I ran back up. Because it was so cold, I went for a 10-minute sauna before going back to my room to shower, but the door still wouldn't open. I had to run down to the first floor again to update the key card... Finally, it worked.
2. The soundproofing was poor; I could hear people talking in the next room and outside the door.
3. There were no children's toiletries.
4. The cleaning was subpar; there was still toothpaste from previous guests on the toothbrush glass. Anyway, we weren't going to use it, so never mind.

CCY_A very new hotel with very comfortable spacious rooms and is situated within the Portuguese settlement. My visit was during Christmas time so there were a lot of celebrations going on, adding to the atmosphere.
The visitor before me used the fridge for durians, and I could not use the fridge throughout my stay due to the smell. The stamps were very polite to ask me about my visit however there were no immediate rectification or solutions provided. Maintenance will be an issue if not taken care of well.

HH4ik4lI had a wonderful stay at ibis Melaka! The hotel is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Jonker Street and other main attractions, yet quiet enough for a relaxing night’s rest.
The room was comfortable, with cozy beds, good air-conditioning, and all the essentials you’d expect from an international hotel brand. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with directions or local recommendations.
Breakfast offered a good variety of both local and Western options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. Parking was convenient, and Wi-Fi connection was stable throughout the stay.
Overall, ibis Melaka delivers great value for money — perfect for both leisure and business travelers looking for a reliable, comfortable place to stay in the heart of Melaka. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserRoom was comfy but bed sheet and pillow case are yellowish in color and had a smelly odor.
Breakfast buffet spread had limited food choices compared to last time we came. Food did not replenished in time after the big chinese group left.
Hotel guest should get free parking but we were charged with rm3.
Also, the room is so dim and dark.
