Located on part of the Birmingham University campus in Edgbaston so good location for academic conferences / visiting the university, also short distance to dental hospital, cricket ground, tennis centre etc. Plenty of free parking including blue badge and EV charging. Check-in was quick and efficient. Angela, who checked us in, was friendly and helpful. There is a large bar which serves smaller meals throughout the day and also a restaurant in the evening. The bar food was average price for hotel food (£12+ for sandwich with some soup) and average quality. Room was clean and tidy, with modern decor. It was very spacious and well equipped with seating and table, ironing board, plenty of pillows, pod coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods, tea bags etc. Black out blinds worked well and there was minimal noise from other rooms / corridor. Would definitely stay again if in the Edgebaston / Birmingham area.
Stay at this hotel about 5/6 times a year. It is basic but also clean. It has a 24 hr bar and served pub grub too. I support wolves and the stadium is more or less across the road. The city centre is only a short walk away. The rooms are basic with no frills but bedding is always clean as are the rooms.
The hotel is in a friendly location, convenient for walking anywhere, the environment is very good and clean, the reception is also gentle and polite, the room is very exquisite, the facilities are complete, I stayed for a total of three nights, the room on the first night did not have heating, the room after two days had heating, but it was not always on, I think the hotel adjusted it by itself, fortunately the weather was not too cold, overall I was satisfied
It was a very nice and modern hotel with a large room and comfortable bed. The use of the spa was complimentary with the room and we were very impressed. There is a bar and restaurant onsite and although service at times was slow (but it was busy) the food was delicious and reasonably priced. My only downside was that there was no hairdryer but other than that all that was provided was very good.
I stayed here at the end of May 2025 as a solo traveller. Quiet location with buildings in very nice landscaped grounds. All areas of the hotel I experienced were spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive in all areas at all times. Bed was comfy and room facilities all I needed. Would happily stay here again.
Came a long way to stay for couple of days for a wedding. Big reunion w some friends from around the globe.
Pros:
Hotel is at the great location. Lots of food option at Touchwood Mall opposite the hotel. Hotel food are quite reasonable too.
Staffs at the lounge & breakfast are Fantastic. They are friendly and helpful.
Rooms are spacious and bed are comfy.
Cons:
Reception should be better. We were attended by Josh during check in and he is not friendly and helpful when few enquiry asked.
A friend of mine (a couple) was assigned to a room which AC wasn’t working. And when asked for a room changed, he said its not available. He mentioned that it was an ongoing problem and offered them a fan instead. How is that possible they are still selling a dysfunctional room to a guest when they know its an issue! But if they want an upgrade, they can but they have to pay £13!! I think its bizarre!
My friends was stucked to the same room till the end of her stay w a FAN!
Overall I am happy with the stay but i need to rant about the room assignment. Its common sense.
The room was pretty quiet. I stayed on the basement level, so there was no window, but since I was only there for one night to sleep, it didn't bother me. The bedding and bathroom were very clean, and there was a door curtain. The bed was quite soft. Having the toilet and shower right in the room was very convenient. There was also a full-length mirror and a vanity table in the room. The front desk offered free, very fresh lemonade! However, my bedside lamp was broken and hadn't been repaired; it squeaked all night, which really affected my sleep. I've told them and hope it gets fixed soon.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe room is old, but big. The service is OK. British hotel rooms do not have slippers and water, so you need to bring your own. The breakfast is also good. It is far from other places, so it is not very convenient to buy things. You need to take a taxi.
GGuest UserIt was okay. The TV was quite big, and the water pressure in the shower was good. The twin beds were also very large, which was comfortable. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Since I arrived at night and it was raining, I had some trouble finding my way.
KK2_travel_aroundThis time I got a room on 4th floor, the scenery outside of the window is nothing to write home to, just some grey buildings, you see. The room is large and the bed is comfortable overall. The bathroom is clean so there is not much to worry about. The facilities are dated but I don't have much to complain about.
The location is lovely, I can go to the city centre, restaurants, shopping malls, main tourist attractions and the bus station on foot. E.g. the Coventry Cathedral and the Coventry University Campus are just 5 minutes away.
The WiFi was working so yeah!
PS: bring your toothbrush and toothpaste, your own sandals if you don't like walking on the carpet and the bathroom bare foot.
NNaiyoudangaojiabingjilingI was genuinely surprised by how convenient the hotel's location was. It's just 20-30 meters from the train station, making it incredibly easy to reach. We could walk to every attraction, completely eliminating the need for public transportation. Chinatown being right next door was fantastic, offering endless dining options to suit all our family's tastes. The hotel itself was very quiet and comfortable, and it felt incredibly secure. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay!

Very Good
GGuest UserGood room, plenty of space and storage pleasant staff, adequate breakfast, easy walk into centre. Hotel private parking not so easy to see entrance to and pricing on booking platform listed incorrectly as far cheaper than it actually was. The small Ringo car park opposite the Hotel entrance has very cheap 24 hour rate.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location and the facilities are too good including the morning fresh breakfast with many options to choose. The staff are very kind and supportive. Another best things is you get a very good discount rate car park. The rooms are quite big with comfy bed.
GGuest UserFirstly, the staff we encountered were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The reception entrance was promising, being bright and modern with a very pleasant receptionist and smooth check in. However, our room lacked appeal, comfort or anything that made one wish to stay in it for longer than a night.
To be fair, we were asked twice on check in, if we would like to move to a different floor. I jokingly asked if there was a problem with the room we'd been allocated but was told no. We were allocated Room 7. Whilst it appeared clean to the best the facilities allowed, it was unpleasant. The bottom of the bathroom door appeared water damaged and rotten. The sink was cracked. The radiator was rusted by urine splashes as situated beside the toilet and the shower was situated in a recess with no curtain or screen, so quickly spilled on to the floor making the bath mat soaked. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. There was no hair dryer. Only one USB point within the very small TV which only charged if it was on. Being on the ground floor, our window opened out on to the narrow walk way and one poor man walked into it on his way to reception. SatNav instructions take you to a dead end further down the road and several attempts at finding our way around the God awful roundabout eventually led us to a very small parking area at the front of the hotel. Breakfast at 9.00 pm was initially disappointing. One plate was available, no bread for the toaster, no milk for the cereals. One sausage, no beans, no bacon. More food did eventually appear, as did plates, and it was very nice. The croissants and pastries were lovely too. The coffee machine was good. As mentioned, the staff were very good and we requested an iron which was bought to us quickly with a board by a lovely young man. The bed was awful. Rock hard and not much comfort from a meagre duvet that was so thin that initially we thought it had been forgotten. Anyway, one night, cheap and basic. Served its purpose but would look elsewhere and pay more. Think we were just unlucky.
GGuest UserGood location close to M42, free parking onsite, easy access to reception check in was straightforward lifts to all floors and the room was perfect clean and warm.
self service for buffet breakfast good variety for every taste. would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
GGuest User5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.
