My stay at the Crown Hotel in Linzhi truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel's surroundings were truly stunning. From the window, I could see the mountains and greenery. The lobby and room decor were warm and elegant, reflecting local characteristics. The facilities were impeccable. The rooms were clean and spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. Every detail was meticulously thought out, making my stay truly comfortable. I especially want to commend our housekeeper, Xiao Miao, for her thoughtful and caring attitude throughout the entire stay. She proactively recommended local cuisine and the hotel's amenities. Her warmth and attentiveness, like a friend, made my entire stay even more heartwarming. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Linzhi!

Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available. Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!

Here's a review of my stay: **Pros:** * **Fantastic Location:** Just a 10-minute walk to Jokhang Temple/Barkhor Street, and about 2 km from Potala Palace. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to the action. * **Elegant ******* Design:** The lobby features a traditional ******* white stupa, red lacquer wood carvings, and white walls. The public areas have spacious gardens, and the rooftop bar offers direct views of Potala Palace at night – perfect for photos! * **Altitude Sickness Friendly:** Each room has an independent oxygen generator (which works really well!), a humidifier, and underfloor heating. There's also a 24-hour infirmary, making you feel completely secure regarding altitude sickness. * **Excellent Service:** Butler-style service. Upon check-in, we received a Hada scarf, yak butter tea, and welcome fruits/yak yogurt. The evening ceremony (******* knife champagne opening + bonfire + Guozhuang dance) was a truly special experience. * **Thoughtful Breakfast:** A semi-buffet with à la carte options, offering a great variety and consistent quality. They had ******* tsampa, cheese dregs, yak butter tea, alongside Western Eggs Benedict. **Cons (My Real Experience):** * **Noticeable Hardware Aging:** The hotel has been open for many years. The curtains were jammed/damaged, the rain shower had weak and erratic water flow, and the floors showed wear. Maintenance seems to be lacking. * **Inconsistent Service Details:** Turndown service was perfunctory. Amenities like body lotion were an extra charge. Some public areas and guest restrooms had hygiene blind spots (dust, water stains). * **Significant Price Fluctuations:** The room rate dropped considerably on the day of booking after I had already paid, which was a poor experience for members/repeat guests. There were also occasional tour groups, which reduced the sense of privacy. * **Inconvenient Public Area Layout:** Guest rooms are spread across different buildings, meaning long walks and tiring uphill climbs.

I booked this hotel for a three day stay and had an amazing time. The front desk staff and the third-floor restaurant team were incredibly kind, sweet, polite, and respectful. The food was not only super delicious but also reasonably priced. The bathroom and blankets in the room were all spotlessly clean. It’s absolutely worth a visit – I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Lhasa who’s struggling to pick a place to stay. You won’t regret booking here.

This hotel is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon on Trip.com, and I was absolutely blown away when I arrived. The entire hotel is designed in a ******* style, making it perfect for photos and check-ins. I spent an unforgettable Chinese New Year here, and thanks to the owner's thoughtful arrangements, we experienced a full ******* New Year celebration. There were festive activities scheduled daily, including various ******* New Year rituals. We even enjoyed a traditional ******* New Year's Eve dinner (Guthuk feast), danced around a bonfire, learned about ******* incense making, and watched a performance of the ******* Gesar epic (an intangible cultural heritage). From the afternoon tea seating on the third floor, you can get a panoramic view of the Potala Palace and the glistening golden roofs of Jokhang Temple. The hotel also offered a complimentary ******* clothing photo experience and 24-hour free oxygen (though I didn't need it, these thoughtful amenities were much appreciated). The staff were also very warm and attentive, providing free consultation services to guests.

The hotel service is very good, the hotel waiter is attentive to entertain, treat the main guests sincerely, and also specially presented a portable oxygen tank. The hotel also provides Rhodiola to help reduce altitude sickness. The hotel parking lot is very convenient and can be charged. The special mention is that the location of the hotel is simply amazing, not only the room can enjoy the Nanga Bawa Peak, the hotel also has a top floor viewing platform, the hotel room is also very fast, the hotel's dining is also especially delicious and the price is more suitable. Very recommended!

We called ahead to let the hotel know it was our 5th wedding anniversary and hoped they could decorate the room for us. We were so pleasantly surprised when we entered – red bedding and swans folded from towels really showed the hotel's thoughtfulness. Manager Kuang even gave us a tour of the hotel garden, where we met a cute golden retriever named Zhouzhou! I wasn't dressed appropriately to pet dogs, otherwise I definitely would have played with her. We heard they're planning to build a pet park and organize some parent-child activities soon, which sounds amazing. We hope to see it on our next visit. Special thanks to Aunt Bian Zhen from housekeeping, Manager Kuang from the front desk, and Pubu Zhaxi from security who helped us with our luggage and parking. These three were truly warm, enthusiastic, and responsible. Experiencing such excellent service in the highlands was even better than the St. Regis in Lhasa! Oh, and Miss Baima from the Liao Bar was also very lovely! We had an unforgettable anniversary.

The front desk staff were warm and responsible. Cering Drölma (or Tsering Drolma) escorted us to our room and thoroughly explained the in-room facilities. The room was clean and tidy with a large balcony and an expansive view. Room service was also excellent; items we requested were delivered promptly, and we even received a complimentary sweet red bean soup for supper. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. We experienced both the hotel's singing bowl sound therapy and the ******* Six Healing Exercises, both of which were fantastic and helped alleviate our travel fatigue. Plus, you can see the Potala Palace from the 8th floor!

So glad I stayed here, it was absolutely worth it! Great location, plenty of oxygen (a big plus in Lhasa!), and direct views of the Potala Palace. It was super comfortable for both relaxing and taking photos. This hotel truly offers excellent value for money and a fantastic experience in Lhasa. Next time I'm in Lhasa, I'll definitely choose this place again with my eyes closed – it's a sure bet! 👍

DDaoyiOut of all the hotels we stayed at during our 8-day, 7-night Tibet trip, the Shangri-La Lhasa was by far the best. Besides its beautiful Tibetan-style decor, what truly saved our trip was their medical room. We experienced severe altitude sickness on our second day. The hotel's medical room is staffed 24/7, and the experienced military doctor there provided us with treatment. Although the IV drip and oxygen were a bit pricey, the medicine worked wonders! The next day, all my altitude sickness symptoms – headache, weakness in limbs – were gone. We were able to smoothly continue our journey to higher altitudes like Mount Everest Base Camp. That medicine was truly miraculous!

GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are excellent, and the service is incredibly warm and attentive. When we arrived, they proactively provided us with a personal oxygen concentrator. The front desk staff even carried a kettle of hot water and our luggage, accompanied us to our room, helped us set up the oxygen equipment and humidifier before leaving. We really felt a warm welcome. The hotel also offers a daily Mercedes-Benz shuttle service to the city center, which is very convenient. The restaurant on the first floor is great, offering a variety of coffee drinks and both Chinese and Western light meals, and the food tastes delicious. If there's a minor drawback, it's that it's a bit far from the main attractions (over 2 kilometers), so walking isn't very convenient. However, since the hotel provides a dedicated shuttle, this isn't really an issue. Plus, being a bit further from the core area makes it quieter.

The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but has an Indian restaurant downstairs. You can also find plenty of food along the Barkhor Street which is like 2 mins walk away. Potala Palace is also relatively near about 2km away. The hotel also has cute kittens running around.

LLvlingfan007The room was spotless, and the view of the Potala Palace from here was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is perfectly situated right behind and to the right of the Potala Palace, making my windowsill my 'personal viewing platform': At midday, wisps of clouds drifted across its white walls and golden roofs, as if a breathing quilt was draped over the ancient palace; In the evening, the setting sun painted the Red Palace a honeyed hue, and as prayer flags fluttered in the wind, they seemed like countless hands applauding it; The moment the night lights came on, the entire palace suddenly 'came alive' – like an ancient ship moored in the darkness, carrying the stories of the Tubo Dynasty, slowly sailing towards the myriad lights of modern Lhasa. The complimentary biscuits were delicious, and the other snacks were great too! The butler and front desk service were warm and attentive. I arrived close to 2 PM, having not yet eaten, and the small eatery they recommended – the third shop after turning right from the hotel – was absolutely delightful.
