What a pleasant surprise! It's just a few minutes' walk to Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, making it super convenient to get around. The courtyard-style design is full of Jiangnan charm, and the room was sparkling clean. The smart voice control and separate wet/dry bathroom were a thoughtful touch. You can wear traditional Hanfu outfits for free, and the courtyard is perfect for stunning photos. Plus, it's pet-friendly! The staff were warm and attentive, and the mini-bar drinks were complimentary. The value for money is incredible; I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Suzhou!

The location is excellent, and the high-floor view is quite good. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was incredibly good value for money, I just forgot to take a picture before eating it.
The room is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The facilities aren't brand new; there's no high-speed hairdryer or smart toilet, and the power outlet next to the desk was a bit difficult to open. There's only one tissue box, placed on the vanity. However, these are minor issues and don't really matter; they're easily adjustable.
What I found unacceptable were two problems. Firstly, the elevator shaft connecting the suspended lobby to the first floor constantly emitted a whistling wind sound, which was noisy and unsettling. Secondly, I'm not sure if the air conditioning system is old and ineffective, or if they're saving energy and haven't turned it on properly. I couldn't adjust the temperature or mode. Outside, the temperature was dropping fast, nearing zero degrees, yet even with the in-room AC control set to 28°C, there was still no airflow. I called the front desk, and it took an age for someone to arrive. They pointed a forehead thermometer at the vent, it beeped, and they claimed the vent was blowing 26°C, saying there was no problem and that this was the set temperature, controlled centrally by the hotel. The problem is, I had the whimsical idea to hold a paper-thin tissue up to the vent, and it didn't even flutter.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing.
This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

This hotel is perfectly situated right on the bustling Guanqian Street, meaning as soon as you step out, you're surrounded by an array of shops, authentic local snacks, and popular photo ops. It's incredibly convenient for both shopping and dining. I was particularly impressed by the hotel's cleanliness standards. The lobby, hallways, and other public areas were spotless, with a faint, pleasant scent in the air. The room cleaning was even more meticulous; the bedding was pristine white, soft, and comfortable to the touch. The hotel boasts a modern, minimalist design with clean lines and warm tones, giving it a sophisticated feel. The smart control system was easy to use, significantly enhancing the high-tech and comfort levels of my stay. What surprised me most was the self-service laundry room – it effortlessly solved the problem of changing clothes, making my trip much more relaxed. Another highlight is the hotel's terrace; it's a fantastic spot to unwind after a day of exploring, and at night, it's perfect for photos. From check-in to check-out, every staff member greeted me with a smile and a warm, yet professional, demeanor. The front desk was efficient and professional, answering all my questions and even kindly recommending nearby restaurants and sightseeing routes. Room service was prompt; whenever I needed something replenished, a quick call brought it right to my door, making me feel truly cared for. Overall, it was a flawless stay, and next time I'm in Suzhou, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

This is a mid-to-high-end hotel under Huazhu, so the brand quality is guaranteed. The location is excellent, right next to the Confucius Temple. It's also very new, yet surprisingly, there's no renovation smell. The front desk service was superb; they recommended local eateries and even mentioned I could order takeout. They upgraded me to a family room, which was huge, featuring a 1.8m double bed and a 1.35m single bed. It could easily accommodate a family of three or even four. The bathroom was also spacious, and the shower had great water pressure. Just a short walk downstairs, there's a Lawson, Cha Yan Yue Se (a popular tea shop), and various snack stalls.

The Crowne Plaza Suzhou is ideally located on the west bank of Jinji Lake, south of Modern Avenue, just across the street from landmarks like the Gate of the Orient and Suzhou Center Plaza, and right next to the Musical Fountain Square. Its unique cruise ship design is a real eye-catcher. From the east bank of Jinji Lake, you can see the 'Big Underpants' (Gate of the Orient) and the 'cruise ship' (Crowne Plaza) in the same frame, especially dazzling at night with all the lights.
The hotel's service truly reflects the high standards of the IHG group:
The night before check-in, a hotel representative called to confirm our reservation. Upon learning that our party included two seniors and one child, they specially noted our requests for early check-in and a twin room at the front desk and tried their best to accommodate them.
Upon arrival, the hotel upgraded us to an Executive Room, which was very spacious. The two single beds, in particular, were wide enough for one adult and one child to comfortably share a bed without feeling cramped.
The service throughout our stay was incredibly warm and attentive. The bellhop proactively helped with our luggage, and after checking in, the front desk staff kindly escorted us to the elevators. Learning that we had a boy with us, they even arranged for housekeeping to deliver a pair of children's slippers.
The breakfast buffet was a definite highlight. The dining environment at Saint Saloon Western Restaurant was very bright and comfortable, and we were even able to sit at the 'bow' of the ship, enjoying the beautiful views of Jinji Lake while we ate.
Guests also enjoy complimentary parking. After registering our license plate number at the front desk, driving in and out of the hotel multiple times was very smooth.
Whether for a family vacation or a business trip to Suzhou, the Crowne Plaza Suzhou is an excellent choice.

The Hanamura Ryokan by Slender West Lake is located near the south gate of the Slender West Lake Scenic Area, about a 5-minute walk from the attraction. There are plenty of restaurants, foot massage parlors, and traditional scrubbing baths nearby. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, proactively helping with luggage to the room and even sending a robot with a bedtime dessert.

Facilities: Mostly fine, except the air conditioning was really too hot. Everything else was good.
Cleanliness: Pretty good. The cleaning staff seemed well-trained, clean, and very polite.
Ambiance: I've always liked the lobby at UrCove; it has a very comfortable and relaxing vibe. However, this time when I was trying to work in the lobby at night, I encountered five or six people who came in from outside the hotel and started playing cards loudly. No one stopped them. I put up with it for over half an hour, but they didn't leave, so I had to move. I don't understand if this is something the hotel condones.
Service: Not bad.
Peet's Americano: A bonus.
Late-night snack: Not as thoughtful as the UrCove in Shanghai.
Breakfast was excellent. Although the variety wasn't huge, the ingredients and taste were superb, especially the steamed dishes, which were plentiful. Thumbs up!
Our trip was an excellent experience! The concierge, Fiona, reached out early via WeChat, arranged a fantastic room for us, and even booked a table with a window view at the Chinese restaurant. She was incredibly warm and lovely, always responding and resolving any issues immediately. The hotel has a great location and wonderful views. The duck blood vermicelli soup at breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed drinks at the rooftop bar. The concierge service was outstanding; a particularly enthusiastic doorman, Lu Yuanzhen, helped us with our luggage every time we came and went, and our bags were always delivered to our room. This hotel offers truly exceptional service. I'll definitely choose InterContinental again on my next visit to Nanjing. Our first trip of the New Year was absolutely delightful. Wishing everyone here a Happy New Year!

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby.
The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt.
The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone.
The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!
GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here.
Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around.
In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room.
When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture?
Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc.
Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us.
These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.
CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high!
The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help!
The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning!
The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

BBabajisuyunyiThe Suzhou Qiyu Inn is definitely my top choice for travel! The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to Shantang Street, and the subway entrance is right around the corner, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. The Japanese-style tatami room is cozy and elegant, with both a private hot spring courtyard and a bathtub – soaking in it washes away all the fatigue. The L'Occitane toiletries and smart toilet add a touch of luxury. Breakfast offers a wide variety and is served until 11 AM. The front desk staff are attentive and enthusiastic, providing everything from kids' goodie bags to emergency supplies. It's a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, with thoughtful details that truly surprise. Next time I'm in Suzhou, I'm definitely staying here again!
MM38243****The rooms are charmingly vintage and cozy. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, with a picturesque view at every turn. The owner's thoughtful touches shine through in every corner of the guesthouse, especially by the floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the lobby, which are a popular photo spot for everyone. The pool might not be huge, but the kids absolutely loved it. The hostess is incredibly kind, and the guesthouse is well-equipped with a variety of facilities. Guests can even experience unique activities like traditional fireside gatherings and incense crafting. I'm already looking forward to visiting again when it gets colder!
MM11486****We booked two rooms for this trip, and the hotel conveniently placed them on the same floor, the third floor, which made visiting each other super easy. The rooms had excellent natural light. We arrived quite early, and our rooms weren't ready yet, so I thought we'd have a long wait. To my surprise, as soon as the rooms were prepared, the key cards were delivered to us very quickly – incredibly efficient and hassle-free!
The thoughtful tips prepared by our butler, Anbo, were incredibly comprehensive, covering everything from dining and entertainment to travel guides; they were detailed and practical. The in-room amenities were exceptionally complete and felt very high-quality. The Dyson hairdryer was powerful, drying hair quickly without damage. The Cosy garment steamer easily smoothed out wrinkles. The Migeer makeup mirror provided soft, eye-friendly lighting. The capsule coffee machine allowed us to enjoy rich coffee anytime. The De'Longhi kettle boiled water fast, and the electronic scale and air conditioning were both convenient and precise. The 2.2-meter king-size bed offered excellent support, and the Carnation linens were skin-friendly and breathable. The Bloom fragrance was fresh and pleasant. The independent, large bathtub was clean and sparkling. The minibar was complimentary and fully stocked with drinks. The cleanliness was impeccable, with no untouched corners. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious.
When we checked out, I gave some minor feedback to the butler, and it was addressed very quickly, which was fantastic. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

GGuest UserFood: Breakfast was varied, with western, asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious.
Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery.
Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy.
Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad.
Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

CCyfer3185Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested.
Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛) so this worked for me.
I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help.
There is also no laundry facilities on site.
Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!
