The amazingly lovely smiling friendly & efficient staff at the Beachfront Apts definitely make the stay worthwhile. Aside from that the location away from the main tourist hub areas of Port Vila allows for more relaxation & enjoyment of the gorgeous beach which is totally safe for swimming among locals & sweet dogs. Every Friday just a few steps away is a fantastic fireshow put on by the Beach Bar which also has very good food. Mele Bay area is so nice that we extended from 3 to 10 days!
To get to the town of Port Vila simply walk a couple hundred metres to the main road, flag down a passing minivan with “B’ on the front plate, state your destination & pay about $2 when you get off.
On a food note it’s a bit of a walk along Devil’s Road to get to Island Magic Resort but it’s so worth it to eat at Birdie’s Restaurant! The locals are super nice along the way, calling out “Good night” as you pass them in the dark on the potholed road.
A stay here is highly recommended!
Friendly and helpful staff. The furniture is old and needs to be updated. Hot water is unstable, it was often necessary to rinse with cold water. A broken clock hung on the wall, which was very annoying. At night, small lizards run along the walls inside the bedroom and the ceiling, which made sounds, which is also not pleasant to hear at night. The pillows are long and hard. Dirt accumulated in the washing machine in the tank, which did not wash, but, on the contrary, stained the washed clothes.
We had a great stay in a studio apartment. Very spacious and a nice breakfast delivered to the room each morning. Staff are very friendly and it's a short walk to a big supermarket. Port Vila seafront was about a 20 minute walk.
On the edge of Erakor Lagoon, the scenery is very good.
The service staff are friendly.
The suite is spacious, the only drawback is that only one room has air conditioning.
Overall, it is worth recommending.
We moved here from the neighboring Lagoon Gardens. The owner there is treacherous and lies a dime a dozen. When the front desk clerk heard about our situation, they confirmed that the owner was just that kind of person and said they'd had several waves of guests move in from Lagoon Gardens. Anyway, the rooms here are spacious and clean, with great natural light. The second-floor balcony has a great view. The staff cleans the beach daily, and the water is full of starfish. The hotel also provides free kayaks, which the young guests often use for fun. Keven Paul, the front desk clerk, was very nice. Seeing us getting ready to go out, he warned us it was going to rain and offered to lend us an umbrella. Sure enough, it rained on the way back. The breakfast could be a little better, though.
The hotel is conveniently located in the city center. The hotel does not provide meals, but the rooms have kitchens, microwaves, gas stoves, ovens and double-door refrigerators. You can cook by yourself, and there is a supermarket within 5 minutes of going out, with all kinds of ingredients. You can eat outside if you don’t like cooking. There are several Chinese restaurants nearby, all of which are cheap and good. The hotel also has a swimming pool, Port Vila is hotter, and you can swim outdoors all year round.
Jimei, there is no joke at all. The best coral reef on the island is not in Top Rock. In this hotel, the perfect snorkeling point 🤿, the hotel plank road is directly a piece of coral reef, bright blind my eyes really! We also went to the sea to jump off the island to pele island, lepapa island and como island, there are not many coral reefs here, the water is clearer. Anyway, come to the main island to play, go to the Blue Hole, you can stay in the hotel for a few days without moving, and go to what Hideaway part-time time wasted. The hotel also has a kitchen. ** bought it to cook by yourself and saved a lot of money. This time I played for 8 days and spent 2,000 Australian dollars on hotel tickets. Don't be too cool! And the hotel also has a lot of papaya trees! The manager said that you can pick it casually, we one day, super sweet!
