The facade definitely stands out and the place was cosy. However, the photos were not representative of the actual place not exactly in a good way. We stayed in the designer cabin (which costs more) but were surprised by how small it was. I would not recommend paying more for the cabin during summer as there is not much to see and less convenient considering we needed to walk a distance to access the amenities including the toilets and kitchen which we did not know when we booked.
Overall, it was quite good. The heating was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and there were even kitchen utensils for cooking.
However, it didn't quite reach four-star standards; it felt more like an apartment. The bathroom was a bit basic, and the room lighting was a little lacking.
Overall, it was still very cozy, the receptionist was very welcoming, and luggage storage was free. Gingerbread was also available at the front desk.
The hotel is in a very convenient location, making it easy to get around the city. It is well-equipped with basic essentials for simple cooking, which is a big plus for travellers who prefer to prepare their own meals. There is also a supermarket located just next to the hotel, and a bus stop only a stone’s throw away, making daily travel very hassle-free.
However, the room size is quite small. Once we opened up our luggage, there was barely any space left to walk around comfortably. This may be something to consider for guests travelling with larger suitcases or planning a longer stay.
Overall, the stay was practical and convenient mainly due to the excellent location and useful facilities, but the limited room space did affect our comfort.
Our best stay for the trip. The room is very big, clean and fully equipped. Good location, walking distance to the ferry terminal and 15 mins by bus to the airport. The bus stop is just the next street of the apartment. Shopping, groceries, eateries are all nearby. Lucky to see the northern light on the first night outside our apartment. Strongly recommend all to stay when you are in Tromso.
This really is home away from home. We love the place so much that we lazed around first half of the days. The location is away from the tourist street but walking distance to tours' Meetup point. 7 min walk to porten til ishavet!
No lift but our room is on first floor.
Luggage storage is very convenient because we arrived early on the first day and left late on last day.
We enjoyed our stay!

A great stay experience, I saw the aurora at home for two consecutive days and took a lot of photos! The overall decoration is simple but very warm, the facilities are complete, and the landlord is very nice! I plan to book this one when I come to Tromso again! !
