I didn't really plan much for my spontaneous trip to Xiamen this time. First off, the hotel's location is excellent – right in the bustling center but still easy to find. Second, as soon as I arrived, staff members Xiao Huang and Xiao Chen were incredibly welcoming, with big, sweet smiles. They were so friendly and professional, offering great tips for my itinerary, attractions, and popular restaurants on the island. 👍👍👍☺️☺️
The hotel itself has a fantastic民國 (Republic of China era) style. Stepping inside felt like traveling back in time, with that historical atmosphere filling every corner… If you're a history buff, you'll love taking your time to explore and discover. 😳😳 Plus, every night you get to enjoy peanuts 🥜 prepared by the hotel – outside, they'd cost you 7-10 yuan a bowl! But I won't ramble on, I'm about to eat. 🫣🫶
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, if you love cats, you absolutely have to come and pet the little cat 🐱 by the hotel's entrance. And trying on the complimentary qipao (cheongsam) here, paired with the Republican era style, makes for amazing photos. I'm really satisfied and will definitely be back again.

We received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

This hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the beach. The surroundings are excellent, a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The owner is also very nice and recommended some great, affordable restaurants. If I come back to Xiamen, I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel is decorated entirely with solid wood and has complete facilities. The tea room is beautiful, and the landlady is very thoughtful. She introduced us to how to explore Wuyishan and helped us buy discounted tickets. The rooms are clean and tidy, parking and laundry are convenient, and the breakfast is particularly plentiful, with steamed buns made by the landlady herself, homegrown vegetables, and delicious whole grains. I especially recommend the landlady's tea; it truly changed my perception of Wuyishan rock tea. It was very delicious and left a deep impression. I will definitely stay here again next time I come.

Stumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!

When I came to Xiamen to travel, I was looking forward to the scenery of the seaside, but I didn't expect to be warmed by the service of this hotel. From the beginning of stepping into the lobby, the staff was warm and kind. Not only did the check-in be efficient and smooth, but also carefully recommended local niche attractions and authentic snacks, which made people feel the gentleness of Xiamen at once.
Any needs during the stay can be responded in time, the attitude is gentle and intimate, the cleaning is clean and tidy, and the details are full of care. Blowing the sea breeze to live here, both the comfort of the seaside city and the sense of peace of mind. A great experience, I will choose here next time I come to Xiamen.

The room I stayed in did not offer the river view that was advertised on the website. Instead, I could see the neighbors’ house through the window. It doesn't feel like a resort or hotel; rather, it more like a private house and
the owner living on the ground floor.
In the late evening around 10 P.M. and early morning at 7 A.M., I could hear children screaming loudly and people communicating, which might disturb those seeking a quiet environment.
I would not recommend this place for anyone who values tranquility. Having your own transportation would be ideal, as the bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away.

I brought my elders to Pingtan to enjoy the sea and scenery, and booked two rooms. When checking in, the housekeeper upgraded the room to a room with larger space, so the price/performance ratio is very high. It can be seen that the housekeeper treats guests with sincerity and warmth. After checking in, the room was very clean, with free Sprite and Coke and various disposable toiletries. The butler also brought a basket of snacks in the evening. When I woke up in the morning, I drank a cup of freshly ground American coffee. It was also very considerate and all my needs were met. Although the entrance to the villa area was under construction, the housekeeper posted another entrance in advance, so I found the B&B quickly by following the guide. Hope the road will be repaired soon. I wish the housekeeper a prosperous business and many visitors!

I first heard about Linggan Hotel through an article by Teacher Maori and immediately bookmarked it as a great B&B. When I had the chance to travel to Xiamen during the off-season at the end of the year, I booked a king-size room at Linggan the day after I booked my flight.
I chose the Sanqiutian Pier for the ferry, as Baidu Maps showed it was closer to the B&B. After getting off the pier, it was just over a 10-minute walk to the property. The B&B has a rather large courtyard, and its location offers a peaceful retreat while being close to both Piano Pier and Longtou Road. My favorite spot was the small balcony seating at the end of the corridor; enjoying a cup of coffee from the downstairs cafe and soaking up the sun in the afternoon was simply delightful. The room decor was minimalist, but all essential amenities were provided, showing great attention to detail. The large bathtub even came with a perfectly sized liner. In the evening, playing some favorite music on the in-room Bose Bluetooth speaker was just perfect.
The breakfast on the second day was a set meal, very generous and delicious. You could choose to enjoy it in the cafe downstairs or in the outdoor garden. Both the auntie and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I hope the prices don't increase too much during peak season, as I truly want to come back again!

The boss is basically responsive. He is one of the better B&B owners I have met so far. The B&B environment is also good. I only found out that this is a B&B street after I came here. It's quite fun.

RRichard LeafeThis is a lovely homestay in a newly built mountain town. Mr Jiang and his wife, teacher Wu, welcomed me into their home and made sure that I had a wonderful experience. Their home is beautiful, clean and tidy. It has a large open plan living area with a large dining table, sofas, a table for serving tea and a pool table, all of which you can make use of. They have a lovely garden and views across a small lake and over mountains covered in trees. The fresh mountain air is rejuvenating. They also have a cute little puppy. The villa is just over the mountain from Xiamen in the first town you get to, and just beyond the town there is a traditional rural village and a reservoir that are worth checking out. The town in which the villa is located is very quiet so don't expect to be able to go to any restaurants, but the hosts will help you order takeaway. The hosts speak English, and took me out with them to look at the stars and the night views, and in the morning made me a simple but satisfying breakfast. I hope to go back to see them again!

GGuest UserThe hotel's hygiene was good, and the bathtub was incredibly spacious – easily big enough for two people. The king-size bed was wide and soft. The sofa bed was a bit on the firm side. The projector wasn't very smart, LOL, it kept projecting onto other rooms. The sea view was minimal, only visible from one side of the balcony, not from the window by the bed. However, the window by the bed offered a pleasant and relaxing view of trees. Adjusting the hot and cold water in the shower was tricky; showering felt like a battle of wits!

SSaierweiyabaijuyiThe hotel is a small western-style building built more than 200 years ago. It is decorated in a retro style and is clean and hygienic. It is located in the center of Gulangyu Island. The surrounding is very quiet and close to the snack street. It is very convenient for shopping and eating, and it is not far from the tourist attractions. The hotel service is thoughtful and meticulous. Fruits were given and the breakfast was also very exquisite. The guy at the front desk gave road signs and locations before check-in, handed over hot tea when checking in, and helped with luggage. It was my birthday the day after check-in, and the hotel prepared longevity noodles for breakfast and gave me a birthday cake, which was a great surprise. Thanks to the two guys at the front desk for their hard work.

The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We are truly thankful to our wonderful hosts.
