The hotel was a delightful surprise overall. First off, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city with excellent transportation links, including direct subway access. Despite being in a bustling area, it's tucked away down a quiet alley, housed in a beautifully maintained hundred-year-old building. Every staff member was incredibly warm and friendly. With the hot weather in Xiamen these past couple of days, they even reminded me to take a bottle of water every time I left. The room itself was simply furnished, clean, and tidy. They also offered afternoon tea and late-night snacks for guests, showing thoughtful attention to detail in every aspect. Upon check-out, they even gave me a small souvenir. Invoices were issued promptly. Although I only stayed for a little over a day, it was a very pleasant and memorable experience.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Sangu Old Street, about a 10-minute walk away, and it's also very close to the attractions!
The wontons in the morning are freshly made and absolutely delicious; I had to order more after finishing my first bowl!
The proprietress is incredibly nice. I even got to learn about tea ceremony and tasted several authentic teas!

It's really perfect for a family trip. The environment is great, and we stayed on the first floor with a small courtyard. The customer service lady was very nice and responded promptly to any questions I had. We were rushed, otherwise I would have loved to stay longer.

Probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The service was impeccable—from the beginning the hotel staff was very responsive via WeChat, answering all my questions about Wuyishan, arranging train station pickup, booking Impression Dahongpao tickets on our behalf. When we first arrived at the hotel, the staff was extremely welcoming, serving us Rougui tea and patiently going over our travel itinerary for the day. Every request we made was honored. They added an extra bed to a room to accommodate a 3rd guest, prepared a vegetarian meal for a vegetarian in our group, and cooked a warm black sugar coca cola drink to help soothe my dad's throat, who was coughing pretty severely. Overall, I've never experienced better service at a hotel.
The facilities themselves are breathtaking. The pond outside, the tea terrace, the interior decoration, the room furnishings... the style is ”traditional modern”, mostly wood and stone but very classy and comfortable. We came during an off-season, so the hotel was serene and peaceful at night. The location is also quite convenient: around 10 minutes by Didi from the main restaurant district and 15 minutes from the South Entrance of the scenic area.

Booked this for a friend, and after looking at several options, I still went with this one because the location is truly excellent. Besides Jimei, which requires a subway ride, you can reach all other places by bike. Of course, if you don't want to cycle, you can walk 200 meters to the main road and catch the tourist special line 29, haha. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and helpful with travel tips. Having a washing machine was also very convenient.

I first heard about Linggan Hotel through an article by Teacher Maori and immediately bookmarked it as a great B&B. When I had the chance to travel to Xiamen during the off-season at the end of the year, I booked a king-size room at Linggan the day after I booked my flight.
I chose the Sanqiutian Pier for the ferry, as Baidu Maps showed it was closer to the B&B. After getting off the pier, it was just over a 10-minute walk to the property. The B&B has a rather large courtyard, and its location offers a peaceful retreat while being close to both Piano Pier and Longtou Road. My favorite spot was the small balcony seating at the end of the corridor; enjoying a cup of coffee from the downstairs cafe and soaking up the sun in the afternoon was simply delightful. The room decor was minimalist, but all essential amenities were provided, showing great attention to detail. The large bathtub even came with a perfectly sized liner. In the evening, playing some favorite music on the in-room Bose Bluetooth speaker was just perfect.
The breakfast on the second day was a set meal, very generous and delicious. You could choose to enjoy it in the cafe downstairs or in the outdoor garden. Both the auntie and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I hope the prices don't increase too much during peak season, as I truly want to come back again!

This B&B is absolutely amazing! The environment is amazing, and you can tell the owner has put a lot of thought into it. There are green plants and flowers everywhere, which is so relaxing. They also provide plenty of snacks in the lobby, which are immediately replenished after eating, which is a really thoughtful touch. The lobby itself is also very comfortable; it would be wonderful to spend an entire afternoon quietly reading. The rooms are incredibly clean. We booked a twin room, which was perfect for bringing children; the space was ample and convenient. The best part was that our room also had a small terrace, which was a real treat to sit out and enjoy the breeze at night. The receptionist was incredibly kind and considerate from check-in to check-out. She even kindly told us that parking fees could be reimbursed. The entire experience made us feel like home.

Facilities: Great, perfect for escaping the daily grind.
Hygiene: Clean and hygienic. The unique tea fragrance is incredibly refreshing.
Environment: Just look at the pictures – everyone who comes here instantly falls in love.
Service: The whole family is wonderful. The dad is very trendy, the mom is incredibly wise, and the son is very enthusiastic. I drank various teas personally brewed by the owner and ate genuine tea eggs. When I couldn't join the group activities due to personal reasons and was left alone, the owner's family warmly invited me to have lunch with them. Highly recommended, I'll definitely come again.

Really loved this little courtyard. The entire wall was covered in firecracker vines, which attracted passersby outside to stop and take photos. Enjoying breakfast in the courtyard felt truly wonderful. The hot water supply was excellent, and the service was prompt. Next time I'm in Gulangyu, I'll definitely try their more upscale Linghai Hotel. The Linghai Hotel is a renovated villa, originally Guo Chunyang's residence, located on the secluded backside of Sunlight Rock. It faces the sea and is close to the beach – truly excellent. I highly recommend checking it out!

The service is good, the rooms are clean and beautiful, and there is a garden. Well worth a stay. It is close to the pier. As long as you go to Neicuo Pier, you must stay here. Currently I give it 98 points. If the breakfast can be improved, I can give it 100 points.

RRichard LeafeThis is a lovely homestay in a newly built mountain town. Mr Jiang and his wife, teacher Wu, welcomed me into their home and made sure that I had a wonderful experience. Their home is beautiful, clean and tidy. It has a large open plan living area with a large dining table, sofas, a table for serving tea and a pool table, all of which you can make use of. They have a lovely garden and views across a small lake and over mountains covered in trees. The fresh mountain air is rejuvenating. They also have a cute little puppy. The villa is just over the mountain from Xiamen in the first town you get to, and just beyond the town there is a traditional rural village and a reservoir that are worth checking out. The town in which the villa is located is very quiet so don't expect to be able to go to any restaurants, but the hosts will help you order takeaway. The hosts speak English, and took me out with them to look at the stars and the night views, and in the morning made me a simple but satisfying breakfast. I hope to go back to see them again!

GGuest UserThis was my first time visiting Xiamen with my mom, and the experience was fantastic! We were very satisfied with the hotel; the price exceeded our expectations, and the service was excellent. The staff were very gentle and kind.
Facilities: The room was fully equipped with everything we needed. The projector was large and the picture was clear. There was plenty of hot water, the sheets were clean, the room was spacious, and the facilities were all relatively new. The air conditioning was powerful and quiet.
Cleanliness: The room amenities were very clean, the towels were disinfected, and there were no other smells. I slept very soundly, getting my best night's sleep. The air conditioning was very strong.
Environment: It was very quiet outside the room; we didn't hear anyone talking all night. The soundproofing was excellent. There were many restaurants nearby; we had satay noodles for dinner.
Service: The staff were very gentle and helpful, providing us with helpful information.

SSaierweiyabaijuyiThe hotel is a small western-style building built more than 200 years ago. It is decorated in a retro style and is clean and hygienic. It is located in the center of Gulangyu Island. The surrounding is very quiet and close to the snack street. It is very convenient for shopping and eating, and it is not far from the tourist attractions. The hotel service is thoughtful and meticulous. Fruits were given and the breakfast was also very exquisite. The guy at the front desk gave road signs and locations before check-in, handed over hot tea when checking in, and helped with luggage. It was my birthday the day after check-in, and the hotel prepared longevity noodles for breakfast and gave me a birthday cake, which was a great surprise. Thanks to the two guys at the front desk for their hard work.

GGuest UserThe boss is basically responsive. He is one of the better B&B owners I have met so far. The B&B environment is also good. I only found out that this is a B&B street after I came here. It's quite fun.

MM23284****The location of the homestay is very convenient to go to the attractions. The proprietress is beautiful and gentle. The homestay is very clean. Now the off-season, the proprietress took the initiative to upgrade the room. The sun shines into the room and you can directly enter the yard. There is a dumpling tree in the yard. We pick one a day. My son likes to pick dumplings too much. Feeling, The sweet and sour with a little bitter is delicious, the main one is fresh! Let’s share the breakfast buns that are so delicious and there are stupid eggs. My son ate two buns the next day when he was three years old. Since the high-speed rail boss specially got up early for us, it was too rare to eat a healthy and delicious nutritious breakfast in this kind of attraction! The boss and his wife are very enthusiastic and very intimacy. They feel at home when they live in. They invited us to drink tea and shared delicious snacks. If you have the opportunity to come to Wuyi Mountain, you don’t need a guide. You can live in her house directly. ❤️ Forgot to take pictures of the homestay, you can go and see it~😜
