The whole trip was very relaxing. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were provided, and I was lucky enough to be picked up by the last company in line, at 8:25 AM, so I could sleep in a bit.
I visited Nara Park, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple—a very fulfilling day. The itinerary wasn't rushed, and I had plenty of time to visit Todai-ji Temple. I also enjoyed strolling around the area around Kiyomizu-dera. The driver/guide was very helpful with directions. It was great value for money—saving time and allowing me to have a great time.★

The tour guide was excellent. We originally planned to go to Shirahama in Wakayama, but since we booked too late and it was fully booked, we went to Amanohashidate and Ine instead. I didn't expect there to be such a beautiful sea near Kyoto. Highly recommended!★

Our tour guide, Chris, was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was clear that he truly enjoys his job. He took the time to care for each guest individually. I highly recommend him. Despite the extremely hot weather, he did everything he could to make the tour as comfortable as possible for us. The itinerary was also well planned. Thank you for such an enjoyable tour!★

Out of a group of over 40 people, we were the only two Koreans. It seemed like it was a tour exclusively for Chinese tourists. Since we were the only Koreans, I was so grateful that the guide assigned us seats at the front. It was great that they explained things in Chinese and then gave us a separate guide in English. I think their name was Eric? I don't remember clearly, but thank you for treating us so kindly. The tour was really fulfilling. Katsuoji is a place that is difficult to get to on your own, but we were able to visit very comfortably. The guide explained everything so well—how to get the stamps and buy the Daruma statue, and explanations about Katsuoji—that we were able to have a meaningful time. The meals were pretty good, and the matcha tea box was really fascinating. The entire itinerary was 1000% perfect for experiencing the Japanese vibe. The driver and guide who worked so hard are the best! 👍🩷★

We really enjoyed the first two stops on this tour. Katsuo-ji and Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple were absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and full of character. Seeing these locations helped us understand how they could have inspired scenes and the atmosphere of Spirited Away. They were definitely the highlights of the day and made the tour worthwhile.
The only disappointment was that our tour guide was more of a driver than an actual guide. Transportation was smooth, but there wasn't much storytelling, historical background, or information about the places we visited. We would have loved more insight into the locations and their connection to the film and local culture.
The final stop in Arashiyama was the weakest part of the tour. It was extremely crowded with tourists, and we were given about three hours of free time, which felt much longer than necessary. Most of the area consisted of souvenir shops and restaurants, making it feel more like a tourist trap than a meaningful stop★

I was very satisfied with this trip to Katsuo-ji Temple! March and April are the perfect time for spring, with beautiful scenery. The itinerary was well-planned and efficient, without being rushed. The tour guide was professional and enthusiastic, providing detailed explanations that allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Katsuo-ji Temple. Overall, the experience was relaxed and enjoyable.
