"Our stay at the Artisan was wonderful. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and worked with pride in their jobs. The lobby with a fireplace was great. We loved the ease of walking directly from the hotel lobby into Tuscan Grille for a fantastic dinner. We also enjoyed breakfast the next morning (off of the lobby as well). We walked around the shops and loved the Tuscan Market for a fresh sandwich for lunch, which we ate outside on a lovely October day.
The only thing that surprised us was that there is a lot of noise in the room. We heard everyone talking in the hall but most bothersome was Friday night - I think there may have been a DJ at the 5th floor club (we were on the 3rd floor). We were exhausted so chose to call it an early night and relax in our room and watch tv after a long day traveling. We couldn't hear the tv in our own room over the music from outside! In fairness, I believe the music stopped by 10 o'clock but when you're tired, it was a lot (especially at close to $500/night).This was not an issue on Saturday.
We would definitely return when in the area."

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Inn at Thorn Hill from December 22nd to 24th, and the experience was absolutely magical. Everything was perfect, the beautiful, cozy room, the outstanding food, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The service was exceptional, and the host made us feel truly cared for with genuine hospitality and attention to detail. It was a peaceful, luxurious stay and one we will always remember. Highly recommended, we can’t wait to return.
GGuest UserThis place was very quaint and staff was friendly.
Our room was cozy, but little details like peeling wall paper was less than attractive.
The pools and the hot tub were what my kids looked forward to the most. Unfortunately they were quite dirty.
Rrock888The environment is really good. The mountains and plains are covered with red, yellow and green colors. This is it. The golf course looks like an oil painting when photographed.
However, such an expensive hotel does not include breakfast. There is only a buffet breakfast for 28 and there is not much to eat. I mainly eat fruits. The dinner at 1902 restaurant tastes good but is very expensive. They don’t even provide bread before the meal. They still have to buy it for 6 US dollars.
I stayed in so many hotels this time, and this is the only one that has a bellman to help deliver luggage to the room because the elevator is too small.
The tour that introduced the hotel was really good. The tour was supposed to be one hour, but the tour lasted an hour and a half.
The service at the front desk was very poor. When I checked in, I was asked to swipe my credit card for a pre-authorization deposit. After eating two meals, I thought it was deducted from the deposit. I called the bank and said it was two pre-authorizations and one was credited to US$253 (meal fee). It’s a few dollars more than the deposit) It’s another pre-authorization for POS machine consumption that hasn’t been released yet. I don’t know what kind of trick this is. I only stayed for one night and two pre-authorizations were deducted from me. How did I use POS for the second deposit? The card machine didn't ask me for my credit card when I checked out.
