Amazing hotel with the Fuji View from the room, don’t have to travel to viewpoints just to see Fujisan. Toilet is nicely segregated and the room is super big and spacious that I can open my luggages freely. The free public bath is amazing with different options for onsen and sauna room. Location is good, right beside Gotemba premium outlet so shopping was very convenient. But if you are not driving, might be difficult for you to get food at night .. Nearest 7-11 is quite a walk as its located deep inside Gotemba premium outlet.

Highly recommended! This place completely fulfilled my expectations of a traditional Japanese ryokan from movies and anime. Tatami mats, sliding doors, a tea table – it had it all, and the room was very clean and quite spacious. I loved the designated spot for shoes right at the entrance. The lobby on the first floor is beautiful and perfect for photos. Upstairs, there's a communal onsen (with both indoor and outdoor baths) and a rock bath, with separate times for men and women. The area isn't huge, but with fewer people this season, it was very relaxing. On the second floor, there's a common area where you can enjoy tea, chat, do some light exercise, or read manga. My only awkward moment was not realizing there was no breakfast; I waited in my room for half an hour, which made me rush later. I didn't get to visit Mount Omuro this time (the cable car was out of service), but if I'm ever in Ito again, I'll definitely stay here.

This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!

Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

This hotel is perfectly located right by the sea, offering a fantastic environment. Transportation is also quite convenient, with a shuttle bus running between the hotel and Kawazu Station. The breakfast was just okay. If you plan to have dinner, it's definitely best to book in advance. We didn't make a reservation this time and ended up being turned away by both restaurants because they were full. There was nowhere else to eat nearby, so we had to resort to instant noodles.

The environment here is absolutely amazing, and being able to soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was decent too. However, there were some real pain points. First off, I knew the hotel was on a mountain and that there was a shuttle service. But I didn't realize the shuttle and pedestrians use the same road to go up, which felt quite dangerous. Secondly, the shuttle schedule was infrequent. The biggest issue was that due to a landslide, the later sections of the Izukyu Line were suspended. The hotel's car picked us up at Katase-Shirata, but they wouldn't drop us off there for the return journey. They clearly had a driver picking people up at Katase-Shirata, so why couldn't they just take us with them? Plus, the front desk wasn't clear about this when I asked. The hotel car could only shuttle us to Shimoda Station, which wasted our time. It was a complete rip-off!

The hotel facilities are quite good; although it's an older hotel, it's clearly been recently renovated. The service was excellent. When we arrived at Izu-Atagawa Station, we hadn't arranged a pick-up with the hotel beforehand, but after a quick call, the front desk immediately sent a driver to get us. He arrived in about ten minutes, which was fantastic! I used the hotel's 11th-floor indoor hot spring and had it practically to myself every time; there was hardly anyone else there. The rooftop hot spring was noticeably more crowded, so I preferred the indoor one. We stayed in the annex, and as previous reviews mentioned, there are a few steps between the two buildings. This was a bit inconvenient for check-in and check-out when carrying luggage, but otherwise, it was fine. There's only one restaurant outside the hotel, but you can also order meals within the hotel, which is quite convenient. The scenery outside the hotel is also very beautiful. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

We were assigned an older room that was in dire need of an upgrade. The peeling wallpaper, fraying tatami mat, and sinking mattress made for an uncomfortable stay. The breakfast was decent, but if you're staying for a few days, I suggest rotating your choices, as the offerings remained practically the same throughout our three-day stay. The happy hour at the lounge was crowded, yet it featured a good selection of alcohol, which was a nice perk. However, there isn’t much to explore in the vicinity of the hotel unless you are driving. For a more enjoyable experience, try booking one of the newly renovated rooms. Otherwise, it might be better to seek accommodation in a more centralized location.

Facilities: This hotel has an old-money charm, and you can really see its past luxury. Everything is very well-maintained, and the rooms are clean. There aren't many power outlets, but they thoughtfully provided power strips. The tatami mattress was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a thorough job every day. The view from the window was beautiful, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was a dream. Service: The hotel offers a shuttle service to Atami JR Station, departing every half hour from in front of McDonald's. There are two vans per shuttle, clearly marked with the hotel's name in red, and managed by hotel staff. They drop off at both the old and new wings, which makes up for the slightly inconvenient location. Environment: The hotel boasts three large hot springs, all with both indoor and outdoor baths. I tried them all, and each has its own unique character. My skin felt so smooth afterwards! The walkway on the 15th floor of the Ocean Wing (old building) offers panoramic ocean views, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Dining: The buffet dinner was absolutely, incredibly amazing! Unlimited tuna belly! All-you-can-eat scallops and roe! Shrimp, sea bream, squid, salmon – there was so much I couldn't even try it all. The cooked dishes were also delicious, but my stomach just couldn't fit any more. I saw some not-so-great reviews before checking in, but perhaps everyone has different preferences. We, however, highly recommend it!

Even though I didn't get to use the hot springs, the scenery here is absolutely breathtaking! The service was also excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. What really stands out is the location – you can see the ocean right from your balcony, and there's a pool too. It's incredibly good value for money! Plus, the room had no weird smells and was very comfortable. I'd definitely come back here if I get the chance.

LL. CelineBooked room with the onsen and it was a nice touch but it might cost a bit... nevertheless the service was good and they do have free shuttle. Just take note its just to the station. If you would like to visit Shuzenji temple, you gotta get down and walk the other direction. Breakfast has a wide variety. 👍🏻 P.s. try checking in earlier, cause when it gets dark, its might be difficult to find your way up the mountain as road is winding.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located by the sea in Ito, and every room offers a fantastic ocean view. It's incredibly clean, and the service is excellent. They even provide a shuttle service to and from Izu-Kogen Station, which is very convenient. The hotel features a large public bath, and private onsen are available for an extra fee. They also offer ramen in the evenings, and there are complimentary drinks and popsicles at the front desk. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which, as a heads-up, doesn't have an en-suite bathroom. We booked the breakfast and dinner plan. Dinner was an exquisite Kaiseki meal, primarily featuring seasonal seafood. Breakfast was a buffet, and it was quite good, with the added bonus of being able to enjoy the sea view while eating. There aren't many restaurants or supermarkets around the hotel; the nearest Lawson convenience store is about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to Mount Omuro by taxi costs around 1700 yen (about a 10-minute ride), and to Jogasaki Coast about 1500 yen, both very accessible. The hotel is quiet and has a limited number of rooms, making it feel very private. It's an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway, highly recommended!

GGuest UserI would hesitate booking this hotel if you are looking for a “wow” experience. We had some issues due to bad weather and some due to service. We booked a room that ideally should have had views of Mount Fuji. Due to the fog, we saw nothing for our 1 night stay outside of the clouds. This is no fault of the hotel but worth factoring into expectations. We also had some service shortfalls. No one in advance communicated that we needed to select a time for the included dinner or pick the cuisine we wanted.  As a result, we got stuck with what was available. We also were not informed that there was a shuttle to a nearby train station (the hotel made up for this by driving us to the station, but the only reason we knew was another guest mentioned it). Lastly, we selected a meal option but were not told the supplement in advance so had a 24,000 yen surprise on our bill. Had this all been communicated in advance, we would have felt better about our stay. At breakfast, we waited over 20 minutes for coffee and had to ask 3 times before it was eventually served. On the plus side, the hard product is strong and our Kappo dinner was delicious. While this wasn’t a “bad stay” - I struggle to see how this hotel landed as a 3 Michelin Star rating and can charge the prices that are charged given some of the issues we faced.

GGuest UserTHIS WILL BE MY TOP 1 BEST HOTEL. I will definitely come back this hotel again. Loved the place, loved the room, the view, the experience. A friendly and lovely staff upgrade our room, and we had the BEST experience there. I will always appreciate the hospitality and experience there. We had great breakfast there, and we joined for the driving experience and speedway museum. LOVED IT!

AAnonymous UserThe room was actually quite spacious, bright, and comfortable, with clean beds and a fantastic full ocean view. However, the facilities were a bit dated. Also, probably due to staff shortages, the hotel offered guests staying multiple nights a 2000 JPY credit per night if they opted out of housekeeping, which could be used at the hotel's outlets. The hotel's location was a bit tricky to find. Arriving at night, the navigation led us through small alleyways and stone steps. Carrying luggage up those steps was quite a struggle 😰, and after descending the stone steps, we still had to climb a slope… 😂. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you're arriving late! Overall, this hotel was very comfortable, and it was a pleasant end to our in-depth trip.
