Guest UserThis hotel's rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean! They provide a wide array of disposable amenities, including slippers and body lotion, which is quite rare for European hotels. Our room even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool downstairs and the surrounding trees.
While breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, the variety was impressive, even featuring honey with a honeycomb.
The front desk offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful.
A thoughtful touch was the free long-handled umbrellas available for guests, especially since it happened to be raining during our stay.
The only real downside is that, despite being close to Florence train station in a straight line, the walk from the station to the hotel is actually quite long. Plus, exiting the Florence station involves going down a set of stairs, which is very inconvenient with large luggage. This made the walk to the hotel feel even longer, especially with intersections where poor signal made maps unclear and it was easy to get lost.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel. The internal environment is very well-maintained, and the front desk staff are patient and polite. If I have the chance to visit Florence again, I would definitely choose this hotel. The price is truly excellent value for money.

The service is very good, very clean and tidy, the doorman is very enthusiastic, and greets you every time you go in and out~ The room is clean and the bathroom is large, the location is good, and the pasta in the restaurant opposite is delicious. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, but you can only go up from one elevator. The other elevator goes to the suite on the 6th floor~ I didn't meet other people on the terrace, it was quiet and comfortable

since.josephOverall, absolutely fantastic with an unbeatable location. Just a heads-up on the soundproofing and corridor design.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our honeymoon at the Rivoli Boutique Hotel in Florence! First off, I have to praise their service – the staff were incredibly friendly and polite, always happy to help with any request. The biggest surprise was that the hotel, knowing it was our honeymoon, thoughtfully upgraded us to a deluxe room for free. That truly earned them major bonus points!
The hotel's location is also superb. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the train station, which was a huge relief for us with heavy luggage, as the route is short and flat. The street where the hotel is located felt very safe at night, and there are many restaurants with different styles right downstairs, so finding food was never an issue. Breakfast was pretty good too, and both the rooms and public areas were spotlessly clean and felt newly renovated.
However, there are a few minor points for improvement I'd like to mention. We stayed on the second floor, and while there's an elevator, the buttons seemed a bit temperamental – sometimes it took a long time to respond, and it occasionally skipped our floor entirely. Also, the corridor after exiting the elevator is quite narrow, and to reach some rooms, you even have to go up and down two steps. This could be a bit awkward if you have heavy luggage.
What bothered us the most was actually the poor soundproofing in the room. The electronic sound from the door lock was very loud when operated, and it seemed like the vibration damping wasn't great because whenever the neighboring room closed their door, we'd feel a significant vibration and hear a loud noise. We were even woken up by neighboring doors opening and closing at 7 AM. Furthermore, the walls between rooms seemed quite thin, as we could clearly hear conversations and objects being moved next door.
Aside from the soundproofing and the luggage handling routes, the hotel's service, cleanliness, and location are truly exceptional. If you're not sensitive to noise, this is definitely a perfect place to stay!

The decor is like a guesthouse from the 1990s, but the price is like a five-star hotel. The location is excellent, behind the Bargello Museum, and within a 10-minute walk of any attraction. However, it's very old and shabby, and the shampoo and conditioner are terrible.

Guest UserThe room was a bit basic, like a budget hotel in China. I booked a single room and the bed was only 80 cm wide. It was quiet though, and had a small balcony. The air conditioning/heating was too dry and couldn't be adjusted, so my throat was really dry at night and I had to get up for water. The bathroom fan was very loud, so I had to turn it off. For over a thousand (presumably currency units) without breakfast, it felt really expensive for this standard. But I guess everything near tourist attractions in Florence is pricey. It's about a 20-minute bus ride or 35-minute walk to the sights. I'd generally recommend staying closer to the Duomo to save time, as the price difference isn't huge. Do note that some B&Bs don't have elevators, which can be tough with a lot of luggage. This place, however, does have one.

Anonymous UserOverall, the hotel staff were very nice, but! The hotel manager (an old man) and his wife had a terrible attitude. We booked this hotel solely to take some wedding photos in the manor, but when we arrived, the hotel manager (the old man) outright refused, without offering any alternative or compensation. He just kept refusing, saying we needed to book in advance, but didn't specify how far in advance. His only reason was that the hotel itself needed to take its own promotional photos during those days (though we didn't see any camera equipment or crew at all)... This reason is truly unacceptable. Shouldn't the reasonable and legitimate rights of hotel guests also be considered? We told him countless times and explained that we'd only take a few photos, which would take about an hour or so, and that we could completely avoid their shooting time and wouldn't even be in the same location as them. In short, the old man manager at the hotel repeatedly refused like a robot. Then, the next day, his wife was on duty at the front desk, and her attitude was even worse. She directly told us: ”If you insist on taking photos, we will call the police.” Honestly, this is the first time I've encountered such an exaggerated hotel service manager. We paid 10,000 per night for a room, staying 2 nights, and this is the attitude we got. I will never stay at this hotel again (objectively speaking, the other hotel staff were very nice, it's just that old man manager and his wife who are horrible people, with a typical stubborn Italian attitude, and they were also unfriendly towards Chinese people).
