I chose to stay at The Langham Hefei for Eric Chou's concert, and my experience exceeded expectations. Mindy, a staff member, arranged the room perfectly in advance, and the front desk even gave me concert merchandise, making my check-in very pleasant. The hotel is super close to the concert venue, about a 5-minute walk, and I could even hear Eric Chou's concert rehearsal from the hotel – it was so exciting! After the concert, returning to the hotel, they thoughtfully prepared ginger tea to ward off the evening chill, showing incredible attention to detail and warmth. The room was comfortable and quiet, the location was convenient for getting around, and the service was attentive throughout. Such thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly warm, and they even helped arrange a late check-out! 👍 I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I come to Hefei for a concert!

Located on the back mountain, the room wasn't huge, but the service was excellent – they were very responsive to all our requests. We had both the lunch buffet and breakfast, and the food was good. The sunrise and sea of clouds probably aren't as impressive as from Bright Summit. Unfortunately, due to heavy fog this time, we couldn't see anything. There was an evening performance. Huangshan is incredibly tough to climb; it's constant ups and downs over mountains and ridges, leaving my legs aching. The West Sea monorail only offered standing tickets. Taking the Yuping cable car up is the classic route, passing by the Greeting Pine, Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder, and either Aoyu Cave or One-Line-Sky to reach Aoyu Peak, then continuing to Bright Summit. For someone nearing fifty, just looking at the route feels challenging. The weather in Huangshan changes rapidly; one moment it was clear blue skies, and the next, dense fog rolled in.

I came for the location to catch a sunset and sunrise over huangshan and the hotel is perfect for that. The cozy solo room had everything I needed and a nice view to top it up. The hotel is super confortable and provides everything you need including warm jackets and torchlight for sunset / sunrise viewing (meaning you don't need to bring any of it with you on the mountain, I wish I had asked before). The concierges were super helpful and gave me advice for sunset /sunrise viewing (the hotel also provide the local weather forecast including time, visibility probability and sea cloud probablity), all of which less than 20 minutes away from the hotel. I was to catch both and then come back to the hotel for dinner / breakfast (both of which were very good with a wide variety of dishes). Everything (room and dinner) was pricier than in other cities but given the location at the summit and the benefits of enjoying the mountain late afternoon and early morning without the huge crowds of the day, it was worth every single euro and allowed me not to rush the trip.

I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hefei and had an excellent experience. It is currently one of the best hotels in Hefei in terms of overall quality and service. Location The hotel sits right by Swan Lake in the government district. The lake and city skyline views from the rooms are stunning, especially at night. It’s directly opposite Yintai in77, so shopping and dining are very convenient. The high-speed railway south station is only about 15 minutes away by car. Service This is where the hotel really shines. The staff are consistently warm, professional, and proactive. The concierge helped with luggage and doors, and the guest relations team reached out in advance, offered a room upgrade, and stayed responsive throughout the stay. Small requests were handled quickly and thoughtfully. The service level feels genuinely attentive. Room The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the soundproofing was good. My lake-view room had large windows with a beautiful outlook. The bathroom is generous in size and includes a bathtub — a nice touch for relaxing after a day out. Welcome fruit and drinks were provided upon arrival. Breakfast Breakfast is a clear highlight. The selection is wide (both Chinese and Western options, including some local Anhui specialties), the quality is high, and the food is fresh. It’s one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Hefei. Facilities The indoor pool is clean and temperature-controlled, with pleasant views. The gym is well-equipped. Overall facilities match the five-star standard. In summary, the combination of excellent location, outstanding service, comfortable rooms, and strong breakfast makes this hotel a top choice in Hefei. I would happily stay here again and recommend it for both business and leisure travelers.

Banyan Tree Huangshan 💚 For my dad's birthday, the hotel prepared a delicious strawberry mousse cake! We couldn't finish it because the portions were so generous 😋. There are three peacocks 🦚🦚🦚 in the courtyard (they are super smart and will come right up to you for food), and the scenery from the balcony is picturesque (the sunset was absolutely stunning) ❤❤❤. The entire hotel is filled with the Banyan Tree's special essential oil scent, and there's an essential oil diffuser in the room too. During check-in, the butler offered Huangshan Maofeng tea and special pastries and then introduced the hotel's evening ceremonies: 'A Night of Fish and Dragon Dance' and 'Intangible Cultural Heritage Iron Flower Display' ✨. Even though I've seen them many times on TV, the shock of seeing them in person is still indescribable!!! We also received evening gifts: a small Banyan Tree turtle doll and cookies. Since it was a birthday celebration, the Baiyun Restaurant reserved a central scenic table with breathtaking views. The hotel's signature dishes — Huizhou Maofu Tofu, Huizhou Smelly Mandarin Fish, and Huizhou Daobanxiang — were all incredibly delicious and perfect with rice! 😋😋😋 The important thing is that they weren't spicy at all! I feel like this is probably the best hotel in Huangshan City at this price point! Finally, a shout-out to our butler, Amy!

## A Relaxed 2-Day Huangshan Itinerary with a 6-Year-Old This time, I took my child to Mount Huangshan and chose to stay at the newly renovated Beihai Hotel on the mountaintop, which far exceeded my expectations. The hotel reopened after renovation in 2025, and the rooms are equipped with a coffee machine, Bose sound system, calf massager, and smart toilet. A calf massage after hiking was a lifesaver! The room also provides down jackets and flashlights, so you won't freeze watching the sunrise. The butler proactively informs guests of sunrise and sunset times and meeting points, with a leader guiding everyone. **Day 1: Easy Hike on the Back Mountain** From Tangkou Transfer Center, take the scenic bus to Yungu Temple, then the Yungu Cable Car up the mountain (10 minutes, saving 2 hours of climbing). Walk about 30 minutes to Beihai Hotel to drop off luggage and rest. For lunch, you can bring your own self-heating pot, instant noodles, or snacks. *Afternoon: Relaxed Hike with the Kids* Hotel → Shuguang Pavilion → Qingliang Terrace → Monkey Gazing at the Sea. This route offers expansive views, and Monkey Gazing at the Sea is one of Huangshan's classic bizarre rocks. The entire trip takes about 1.5 hours, with gentle slopes that aren't tiring. Upon returning to the hotel, you can enjoy the complimentary Hanfu photo experience or afternoon tea. If you still have energy, you can continue: Hotel → Pen Holder Peak → Umbrella Pine → Black Tiger Pine → Shixin Peak. Shixin Peak is an excellent spot to see unique pines, with a round trip of about 1.5 hours. In the evening, after the hotel buffet (198 yuan/person), you can try making incense seals and interacting with NPCs in the lobby for small gifts, which the kids loved. *Reminder*: The hotel organizes guided trips to Shixin Peak for sunset daily (around 6:30 PM, depending on sunset time). This was my first time visti Chuzhou City, mainly for a business trip. The client recommended a newly opened hotel, and I honestly didn't expect the front desk service to be this good—they even upgraded my room for free. Most importantly, the hotel is spotlessly clean, easy check in, which is the most important for me when choosing a place to stay. I'm more used to Western food, but their breakfast was surprisingly very nice. A wide selection of both Chinese and Western options. Fresh food, great taste perfect for starting the day with energy. Extra amenities: Free parking, quiet rooms with excellent soundproofing, and fast free Wi-Fi. Ideal for both business trips and vacations. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chuzhou. The hotel is very close to Chuzhou Railway Station and offers pick-up and drop-off service. They even helped with my luggage. The internet connection was smooth and reliable as well. My stay was far beyond expectations, with thoughtful details everywhere: Lobby: Elegant and spacious, with pleasant fragrance and relaxing music. It felt comfortable the moment I walked in. Room: The bedding is the best and clean I've experienced among all the hotels I've stayed in. A lovely touch: I even received a small farewell gift when checking out, so heartwarming! The service was warm and attentive, especially the front desk staff. The guy at the front desk spoke softly and had an excellent service attitude. The hotel also has dedicated shuttle vehicles... The check-in experience was great. The environment is very quiet, and I slept soundly without any noise. My child even slept until past 9 am. Whenever I stay at a hotel, I pay great attention to hygiene. The room and bedding were very clean, and the pillows had no peculiar smell. The hotel also provided many discount coupons. Although we only experienced the bamboo raft with the elderly and children, I would definitely stay here again next time I go with friends.

We stayed at Huangshan Paiyun Hotel from September 6–7, 2026 with my 71-year-old mother. Taking the Taiping Cableway from the North Gate made the trip very easy, with only about a 5–8 minute walk to the hotel. Other routes can require 1.5–2 hours of walking, so this is definitely the best option if you want to minimize the hike. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully located on top of the mountain. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and everything felt well maintained. I highly recommend booking a mountain-view room. Waking up to the sunrise and mountain scenery was absolutely worth the extra cost. A beautiful and convenient place to stay on Huangshan. Highly recommended.
