We stayed in a 1.5 twin-bed room. The beds were large and quite comfortable. The key highlight was the hotel's public areas, which were exceptionally striking. The entire environment was beautifully designed, creating a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that made you want to linger. The hotel breakfast was also delicious, and the all-Chinese options were very kind to the stomach.

This 12-day Chinese New Year family trip, Shangri-La Nanchang was by far the most comfortable hotel we stayed in. The location is superb, with convenient transportation. The tram downstairs goes directly to all the major popular attractions.
What truly impressed me was the service; they genuinely made us feel at home. Check-in was very thoughtful. They proactively arranged our two rooms together and patiently explained why there was a connecting room in between (due to the king-size bed layout). They also meticulously inquired about all our needs. On the day we left, our child wasn't feeling well and fell asleep, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to extend our check-out until 2 PM without any rush or催促, which was particularly heartwarming.
The room view was unbeatable, directly facing Tengwang Pavilion from the window. We could even watch the fireworks display from our room, and the staff even proactively reminded us to tune the TV to the music channel to accompany the viewing. Additionally, the robot delivery for takeout was very prompt, and the buffet dinner was affordable, delicious, and offered a wide variety of dishes. The overall experience was impeccable, highly recommended!

I highly recommend this guesthouse. It's a stand-alone villa located in a community next to Wuyuan Bus Station, offering a great environment with a beautiful small courtyard and even a pottery studio. If you're tired from walking around, you can relax in the courtyard and soak up the sun, or enjoy free pottery wheel throwing and clay modeling in the studio, with professional guidance from a teacher. If you want to take your creation home, you can pay extra for glazing and firing, and the owner will ship it to you. Overall, this guesthouse was a wonderful and unexpected highlight of my trip to Wuyuan. The transportation from the bus station is very convenient, with many buses going to places like Huangling and Mount Sanqing. For Wolong Valley, you'll need to go to the Old North Station, which is a 12-minute bus ride on Route 1 for just one yuan. Alternatively, you might find a bus going to the Old North Station that can take you there along the way. A taxi to Xiangu ancient town costs around 7-8 yuan, making it easy to get anywhere. In short, I was very satisfied with my stay and will definitely choose to stay here again if I return to Wuyuan.

The room is clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. The hotel provides almost everything you need and allows early check in which is perfect for me to rest a while after a long journey.
The hotel is not too far away from major attractions and close to many food stores/grocery shops, it is easy to get quality food around the area. That said, their breakfast buffet offers a good variety of Chinese food, it's definitely good for value and more importantly convenient.
Staff are friendly and helpful as always although I'm not sure if communicating in English would be equally easy as the hotel mainly serves local tourists.

The villa is right in Guling Town, making it super convenient for getting around and dining. The staff helped us with our luggage the entire time, and the hotel even has its own parking spots, which solves the problem of finding parking. Since we booked two different room types for our two-night stay, the staff, considering we'd have to switch rooms in between, proactively upgraded us to an incredibly beautiful room. We were able to enjoy the snow, rime, and the mists of Mount Lu right from our room.
The quality of Kaiyuan Guan Tang is consistently excellent; this large chain brand truly delivers.
The hotel environment is fantastic, like a classical garden park where every step reveals a new beautiful scene. We parked at the main entrance, and the hotel arranged for a buggy to take us directly to our room. They also offer a Hanfu experience, which is perfect for photography enthusiasts.
The service was outstanding. Upon signing up for membership, we immediately received extra breakfast vouchers and a complimentary upgrade to a family room. The room was incredibly spacious, and the facilities were quite new.
The breakfast selection was plentiful, and the cakes and rice noodles were especially delicious.
I want to give a special shout-out to Chen Yongman, the concierge at the front desk. He was incredibly kind and attentive, helping us retrieve an item our child had lost. This made the end of our trip feel exceptionally pleasant.

It is located in a landscape garden, surrounded by roads and has convenient transportation. It takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Ceramics Museum, and there are beautiful scenery along the way. It is very convenient to take a taxi near Taoxichuan, Sculpture Porcelain Factory and Taoyangli. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. It lacked a small table for the laptop, which the front desk immediately arranged to have delivered. The response speed was very fast. The front desk is basically responsive. After staying for a few days, the overall environment is quiet and peaceful. As it is next to the elevator, the sound insulation is slightly inferior, but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The breakfast is great, tastes good, and is very comfortable to eat. It has all the basic styles. There is also a pottery experience in the courtyard, which is very good. My friends and I go there to play every now and then. All the service staff are warm, kind and thoughtful.

The hotel is nice and a comfortable environment. It's location is a bit out of the way, but not too bad. The rooms are a bit small, particularly compared to similarly priced hotels in bigger cities. (e.g. I came from Shanghai and spent a similar price for a room that was easily 50% larger. Given Shanghai prices, it should have been the other way around.) The breakfast was very underwhelming. Poorly cooked ”western” food that only vaguely looked like what it was supposed to be, and tasted nothing like it. Small selection of lukewarm Chinese breakfast items. Tiny bottles of yoghurt. Very watered down juice.

What truly stood out during my stay at Howard Johnson wasn't just the facilities, but the consistently warm and thoughtful service from beginning to end. Every single detail left a wonderful impression!
Upon arrival at the hotel entrance, before I even had a chance to open the car door, a staff member quickly approached with a welcoming smile. They gently took my luggage and softly remarked, 'You must be tired from your journey,' which instantly melted away all my travel fatigue. The front desk attendant was incredibly patient and helpful during check-in – big thumbs up for that! Room service was also very prompt and efficient, and the shuttle drivers were excellent at time management.
Came to Ge Xian Village for a trip and stayed at this hotel for a day. All the staff I encountered greeted me, and they were all very polite. When checking in, the front desk attendant, Xiao Hou, was especially enthusiastic and even got a complimentary breakfast voucher for my child. The room's overall cleanliness was good, and the facilities were complete. Breakfast was generally good; although there wasn't a huge variety, it was sufficient, and I especially loved their noodles. The resort has many activities, fresh air, and beautiful night views. Releasing sky lanterns at the Star-Picking Tower at night was quite spectacular. It was a shame it rained when we went, which dulled the fun a bit, but it was still enjoyable.

GGuest UserI think I’m pretty good at finding hotels. All the way out here in the U.S., I actually managed to find this traditional-style guesthouse that you can’t even see from the road 😄. It’s wheat harvest season right now, so the owners had given their staff time off, but because we were coming, one of the owners traveled all the way from Shanghai just to host us. 🌹 Her name is Ms. Peng—she’s a university graduate from 1981 and a professional architectural designer. She designed the entire guesthouse herself. Every corner here is beautiful, and I can’t even take photos fast enough to capture it all.
GGuest UserThe Huazhu Wuyuan Yueyuan Wufei B&B is amazing! 👍 The renovation of the old house was meticulously done. A professional designer designed the courtyard, preserving its ancient charm while maintaining elegance and comfort. The rooms are cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The meals are authentic Wuyuan cuisine, and the proprietress's cooking is exceptional, making the specialties incredibly delicious. Breakfast and lunch offer a complete selection of Wuyuan specialties (pocket carp, steamed pork with rice flour, steamed fish with rice flour, Qingming fruit, etc.). The dishes are made with all-natural ingredients, including cucumber, cowpea, green pepper, and river chicken. The whole family devours every meal!
You can also cycle along the rippling river, amidst the gently swaying blossoms. In the courtyard, you can play pot-to-pot together, creating a truly immersive experience.
The attentive service makes it feel like home! 🥰
The proprietress and her family run the B&B as if it were their own home. Every corner of the old house holds history, every visitor has a story, and every dish the proprietress prepares is filled with warmth.
It is better to come here by yourself after seeing and hearing it. Feel the inheritance of this history and the love for life.
SStanley The Travel ManThe location is very good . It is closed to restaurants and not too far from the river. It is about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop to go to the train station.
The house keeping is excellent. One morning I requested cleaning earlier and the lady came within 20 minutes to clean my room.
The furnishing is more than adequate although if there is a small fridge , it would have been wonderful as the days were hot and I wanted to drink something cold but it was fine.
The room has a lot of cigarettes burn marks because the clients simply ignored the no smoking sign but is not the fault of the hotel. The hotel could have fine the clients but it closed not to so the floor will probably continue to be damaged or stained by the inconsiderate clients. Some hotel has strict policy about smoking and a warning sign that they will be fined or be charged a cleaning fee. This hotel apparently has no such thing to the detriment of the hotel itself for not having this policy. The floor stains didn’t bother me so much , more than it was ugly. The cleaning lady said it is common to find cigarette butts on the floor .
I paid a little bit more for a room further away from the elevator as the cheapest room is practically next to it.

MMateja BokanThis was a very weird hotel experience. Firstly, the staff is great and were very responsive to any issues I had. That being said, the hotel has seen better days. I changed rooms, but both rooms had very dirty carpets and bathrooms which had traces of molding on the silicone connections, and the windows were, in my opinion, small. The showers were clean, but the hairs were not removed for a long time, and the water drained very slowly. During my stay, I even saw a small gecko run across the bathroom... The AC unit is terribly loud too, and I couldn't sleep the first night almost at all because of it. I later got used to it, but it still gave me troubles during nighttime. On the third day, around 8:25, the cleaning staff barged into the room unannounced. Even though I was awake, this created an awkward experience... Later, when they came again, they only quickly knocked before coming inside again... The hotel's breakfast is minimal, and poorly prepared. I'd recommend skipping it, and getting something from the street in front of the hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good, being only a 5 minute walk away from the entrance to the Mount Longhu scenic area entrance.

OOnTheWayHNThe duplex room we booked was very spacious, with two bathrooms, and the room facilities were great. It even had a washing machine and dryer, which was very thoughtful. The front desk staff were very friendly and gave us an extra breakfast voucher for free. The hotel is right next to the Jinsha cable car, making it super convenient to catch the cable car in the morning.
LLeesa DaviesWe liked the nostalgic feel of the hotel. It makes you feel like you have gone back in time. The room is a little bit dated (shower screens need some attention), however it still had that touch of class. The front steps are a killer, however there is a lift to bring you up the level of the hotel, so we didn't have to worry about bringing our heavy suitcases up the many steps. There is a bus station almost out the front of the hotel to tour the mountains many scenic areas. It is not in the shopping area of Kuling Street, but it's an easy bus ride to visit this area. We liked that there are a few restaurants, cafes and convenience stores close to the hotel as well. We were not able to use our foreign credit card and as we could not use WeChat pay, we needed to find another way to pay for the room with assistance from family with a Chinese bank account. I think it was because it is not part of a large chain of hotels and is in a relatively remote area. But overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
VVictoria93We had a great stay here! All the personnel was nice and attentive, we were registered pretty easily. The hotel offers a pick up service , which is quite convenient.
We had a room with a skylight and a balcony, which was the best. In the morning and in the evening you can sit at the balcony and enjoy a nice view. The room is clean and the towels are changed every day. They serve Chinese style breakfast from 7 to 9, see the picture attached. Since we don't know much about local transportation, they gave us a ride to the local transportation hub where we could hop on a sightseeing bus. Once you get back from your trip in the evening, you can have a nice stroll from a busy Guling street area, it's down the hill and it takes you about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a real mountain view from their hotel room☺️
GGuest UserOur featured family room is a two-story, retro-style building. The first floor has a sofa, a kids' building block area, and a dining table with a sofa. The second floor is a sleeping area with two beds, plus a balcony with great views. The scenery is superb, and the service is excellent. The room had extra blankets, and the breakfast offered delicious local specialties. The service was top-notch, and I was very satisfied. The environment was great, and the infrastructure was solid. We drove up, and the mountain road was very winding. The staff even specifically warned us about the steep road. Staying in a guesthouse within the scenic area is super nice! I always love staying inside scenic areas to experience different local vibes.
GGuest UserThe Junlan Resort Hotel Sanqingshan is definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting Sanqingshan! The location is superb, extremely close to the Jinsha cable car. Nestled against the mountain, the environment feels like a hidden gem in the forest, with fresh air and lush greenery everywhere. The mountain view rooms offer an incredible panorama; the floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Sanqingshan scenery like a living painting. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean. The service is even more thoughtful and attentive, with staff who are warm, polite, guide you throughout your stay, and even help plan your itinerary. Breakfast is abundant, featuring local specialties like Jiangxi hot rice noodles and taro dumplings. With complete facilities including a sky garden, heated swimming pool, and gym, it's perfect for family trips or leisure vacations. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sanqingshan!
