Let's start with the downsides:
1. The room facilities are clearly aging, including the toilet, shower, and small sofa. The deluxe river-view twin room I stayed in on the 2nd/3rd night had even worse facilities than the executive king room on the first night.
2. The housekeeping department lacks basic amenities like a step stool for children (they said it's only provided for family rooms).
3. Soundproofing isn't great. If your room is a bit close to the elevator lobby, it can get quite noisy.
4. Adjusting the air conditioning temperature didn't seem to have any effect, though the overall comfort was still acceptable.
Now for the highlights:
1. The river-facing rooms offer an unbeatable view. The scenery is even more beautiful than in the photos.
2. From a tourist perspective, the location is excellent. Tengwang Pavilion and Dashiyuan are very close, and Wanshou Palace is also within walking distance.
3. The breakfast quality is decent, with a wide variety of options, including many local Nanchang specialties. The view from the restaurant windows during breakfast is also fantastic.
4. Although the hotel is tall, the elevators are fast and the water pressure is good, effectively avoiding common high-rise living issues.
5. The staff at the concierge, front desk, customer service, and restaurant are all very enthusiastic and have a great attitude.
Other notes:
The afternoon tea provided with the executive room on the first day was quite good. However, the welcome fruit platter was only delivered on the third day and wasn't of great quality.

The room was really comfortable, and even though it faced the street, the soundproofing was excellent. The guy at the front desk was super enthusiastic and even upgraded our room for free, knowing we had a child, which made our stay even more comfortable. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we're in town!

The butler service was excellent; they contacted me before check-in and provided a very detailed guide, which I really appreciated. The hotel breakfast was substantial, and the baggage service was great, with staff bringing luggage directly to the room. However, the room was very small. I specifically booked the Cuiwei room, but it had no view, and the window was tiny. I guess the main benefit is being able to stay late in the scenic area and having a convenient place to crash. The complimentary photography session with Bojue Travel Photography only provided outfits, and each room received five free photos. Makeup and styling had to be purchased separately, and the outfits had to be returned immediately after the shoot. It's not as good value for money as places outside the scenic area.
The hotel environment is quite nice; it's a garden hotel, and you can stroll around its internal mini-park, which is very pleasant. The lobby is spacious and bright, and the staff are professional and patient, though they could smile a little more. The rooms are also very large and comfortable to stay in, and the hygiene is good. The facilities and equipment seem relatively new, probably because the hotel hasn't been open for long. Parking is very convenient with plenty of spaces; there are no parking fee barriers, you just drive straight into the hotel's parking lot.

This 12-day Chinese New Year family trip, Shangri-La Nanchang was by far the most comfortable hotel we stayed in. The location is superb, with convenient transportation. The tram downstairs goes directly to all the major popular attractions.
What truly impressed me was the service; they genuinely made us feel at home. Check-in was very thoughtful. They proactively arranged our two rooms together and patiently explained why there was a connecting room in between (due to the king-size bed layout). They also meticulously inquired about all our needs. On the day we left, our child wasn't feeling well and fell asleep, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to extend our check-out until 2 PM without any rush or催促, which was particularly heartwarming.
The room view was unbeatable, directly facing Tengwang Pavilion from the window. We could even watch the fireworks display from our room, and the staff even proactively reminded us to tune the TV to the music channel to accompany the viewing. Additionally, the robot delivery for takeout was very prompt, and the buffet dinner was affordable, delicious, and offered a wide variety of dishes. The overall experience was impeccable, highly recommended!

This is by far the most satisfying guesthouse I've stayed at in Jingdezhen, period! It's called Benjue Rushi.
The location is fantastic, right next to the Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Street. It's a short drive to the Ceramic Museum, Sanbao Village, and Sculpture Porcelain Factory, and getting to and from the station is also convenient. There's a super spacious 200 sqm camping garden ⛺️, with a 30-year-old osmanthus tree that's always there, providing a lovely spot to sit under, feel the breeze, and unwind from all your fatigue.
They have a great variety of room types. My favorite is the one with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows – opening them reveals a calming green vista.
The entire place is equipped with smart home features, making for a super comfortable and convenient stay. It's clean and thoughtful.
Plus, they even give you a small ceramic cup as a souvenir upon check-in!
Highly recommend!!

Stunning River View, Enchanting Nights – An Unforgettable Stay
This stay far exceeded my expectations; if I had to describe it in one word, it would be 'breathtaking.'
First, I have to rave about the river view! The room offered an unparalleled vista, directly facing the wide river. Watching the sparkling river during the day instantly lifted my spirits, and at night, it was simply a visual feast.
What impressed me most was the night view across the river. As dusk settled, the buildings on the opposite bank lit up magnificently. The dazzling lights reflected in the water, creating what looked like a flowing galaxy.
The hotel service was also incredibly thoughtful. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, allowing for a peaceful sleep after enjoying the beautiful scenery.
If you're looking for a unique romantic getaway or want to bring family and friends to see a spectacular light show, this place is absolutely the top choice. The next time I visit this city, I'll undoubtedly choose to stay here again!

The hotel is nice and a comfortable environment. It's location is a bit out of the way, but not too bad. The rooms are a bit small, particularly compared to similarly priced hotels in bigger cities. (e.g. I came from Shanghai and spent a similar price for a room that was easily 50% larger. Given Shanghai prices, it should have been the other way around.) The breakfast was very underwhelming. Poorly cooked ”western” food that only vaguely looked like what it was supposed to be, and tasted nothing like it. Small selection of lukewarm Chinese breakfast items. Tiny bottles of yoghurt. Very watered down juice.

The doorman at the entrance was excellent, actively helping with luggage. The front desk service was professional, generous, and appropriate – not overly eager to please, nor excessively enthusiastic. The decor and furnishings in the restaurant, gym, and guest rooms were all of exceptional quality. From the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room, you could enjoy a complete panoramic view of the Ganjiang River. Upon checking out, I specifically asked the doorman and found out this is Orange Crystal's 2.5 version – no wonder it provided such a perfect and unforgettable stay.

Huling Scenic Area admission ticket plus round-trip cable car ticket: The hotel package included tickets and cable car for two adults, and we just needed to purchase a half-price ticket for the child.
Staying at the hotel gave us access to a VIP channel, which was very convenient.
There's a makeup and styling shop right next to the hotel that opens at 6:30 AM, which is super convenient for avoiding the crowds. We were done with our photos before 9 AM.
Strolling around in the evening, away from the crowds, was very pleasant.
The wooden house was a bit noisy. It rained all night, and there was a light nearby that kept making a sound. Luckily, the room provided earplugs, and once I put them on, I slept soundly.

GGuest UserI think I’m pretty good at finding hotels. All the way out here in the U.S., I actually managed to find this traditional-style guesthouse that you can’t even see from the road 😄. It’s wheat harvest season right now, so the owners had given their staff time off, but because we were coming, one of the owners traveled all the way from Shanghai just to host us. 🌹 Her name is Ms. Peng—she’s a university graduate from 1981 and a professional architectural designer. She designed the entire guesthouse herself. Every corner here is beautiful, and I can’t even take photos fast enough to capture it all.
GGuest UserThe Huazhu Wuyuan Yueyuan Wufei B&B is amazing! 👍 The renovation of the old house was meticulously done. A professional designer designed the courtyard, preserving its ancient charm while maintaining elegance and comfort. The rooms are cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The meals are authentic Wuyuan cuisine, and the proprietress's cooking is exceptional, making the specialties incredibly delicious. Breakfast and lunch offer a complete selection of Wuyuan specialties (pocket carp, steamed pork with rice flour, steamed fish with rice flour, Qingming fruit, etc.). The dishes are made with all-natural ingredients, including cucumber, cowpea, green pepper, and river chicken. The whole family devours every meal!
You can also cycle along the rippling river, amidst the gently swaying blossoms. In the courtyard, you can play pot-to-pot together, creating a truly immersive experience.
The attentive service makes it feel like home! 🥰
The proprietress and her family run the B&B as if it were their own home. Every corner of the old house holds history, every visitor has a story, and every dish the proprietress prepares is filled with warmth.
It is better to come here by yourself after seeing and hearing it. Feel the inheritance of this history and the love for life.

Good
MMateja BokanThis was a very weird hotel experience. Firstly, the staff is great and were very responsive to any issues I had. That being said, the hotel has seen better days. I changed rooms, but both rooms had very dirty carpets and bathrooms which had traces of molding on the silicone connections, and the windows were, in my opinion, small. The showers were clean, but the hairs were not removed for a long time, and the water drained very slowly. During my stay, I even saw a small gecko run across the bathroom... The AC unit is terribly loud too, and I couldn't sleep the first night almost at all because of it. I later got used to it, but it still gave me troubles during nighttime. On the third day, around 8:25, the cleaning staff barged into the room unannounced. Even though I was awake, this created an awkward experience... Later, when they came again, they only quickly knocked before coming inside again... The hotel's breakfast is minimal, and poorly prepared. I'd recommend skipping it, and getting something from the street in front of the hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good, being only a 5 minute walk away from the entrance to the Mount Longhu scenic area entrance.
HHanhanShangrao Yuexi New Century Grand Hotel Kaiyuan was an absolute revelation! This Huizhou-style garden hotel, nestled at the foot of Lingshan Mountain, with its white walls, dark tiles, and quaint bridges over flowing streams, felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting. The lobby, a renovated ancient house, boasts old trees and bluestone slabs everywhere, creating an incredibly serene atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and elegant, furnished with wooden pieces and equipped with smart devices. The bedding is super soft, and you get stunning mountain views right from your window. The service was impeccable; the front desk staff were very welcoming, and the shuttle bus was always available on call. Breakfast offered authentic local specialties like Qianshan hot noodles and Dengzhan Guo, which were delicious. We also got to experience Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for free, and the courtyard was perfect for photos. Overall, it's a quiet and comfortable place that perfectly blends cultural charm with a relaxing holiday vibe. Highly recommend!
OOnTheWayHNThe duplex room we booked was very spacious, with two bathrooms, and the room facilities were great. It even had a washing machine and dryer, which was very thoughtful. The front desk staff were very friendly and gave us an extra breakfast voucher for free. The hotel is right next to the Jinsha cable car, making it super convenient to catch the cable car in the morning.
LLeesa DaviesWe liked the nostalgic feel of the hotel. It makes you feel like you have gone back in time. The room is a little bit dated (shower screens need some attention), however it still had that touch of class. The front steps are a killer, however there is a lift to bring you up the level of the hotel, so we didn't have to worry about bringing our heavy suitcases up the many steps. There is a bus station almost out the front of the hotel to tour the mountains many scenic areas. It is not in the shopping area of Kuling Street, but it's an easy bus ride to visit this area. We liked that there are a few restaurants, cafes and convenience stores close to the hotel as well. We were not able to use our foreign credit card and as we could not use WeChat pay, we needed to find another way to pay for the room with assistance from family with a Chinese bank account. I think it was because it is not part of a large chain of hotels and is in a relatively remote area. But overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
VVictoria93We had a great stay here! All the personnel was nice and attentive, we were registered pretty easily. The hotel offers a pick up service , which is quite convenient.
We had a room with a skylight and a balcony, which was the best. In the morning and in the evening you can sit at the balcony and enjoy a nice view. The room is clean and the towels are changed every day. They serve Chinese style breakfast from 7 to 9, see the picture attached. Since we don't know much about local transportation, they gave us a ride to the local transportation hub where we could hop on a sightseeing bus. Once you get back from your trip in the evening, you can have a nice stroll from a busy Guling street area, it's down the hill and it takes you about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a real mountain view from their hotel room☺️
GGuest UserThis hotel is likely the largest guesthouse within the scenic area. The rooms are converted from old residences, so each one has a unique layout. You check in at the scenic area's reception, then take a cable car into the area, followed by a shuttle bus to the lobby. Since rooms are scattered in different parts of the area, a bellhop will carry your luggage and walk you to your room. Our room seemed to have been a family's living space, so it was quite spacious and well-renovated. The second floor of our room faced the street, offering views of the scenic area as soon as you opened the window. However, due to the poor sound insulation of old wooden houses, sleeping in late in the morning was impossible, as vendors set up stalls and tourists spoke loudly on the street from early on. Breakfast was served in a single restaurant shared by several hotels, and it was decent enough. As it wasn't canola flower season, the scenic area lost some of its unique charm. Still, seeing so many people taking travel photos throughout the area was a different kind of characteristic.
DDongjingbashiwanluolizongjiaotou2Our trip to Mount Sanqing was a delightful surprise, thanks to the Sanqingshan Junlan Resort Hotel. Its location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get to the Jinsha cable car. The overall decor is grand and elegant, and the room views are absolutely stunning. The room layout is well-designed, and the cleanliness is top-notch. It's quiet and peaceful, and the amenities are comprehensive. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and patient, providing us with detailed travel tips for Mount Sanqing and answering all our questions with professionalism and attentiveness. Their attention to detail really stood out. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, gym, and a kids' club. We traveled with children, and they had a fantastic time at the kids' club. The plentiful breakfast and excellent recreational facilities made our trip more than just about hiking; we also enjoyed wonderful, relaxing moments. Our family had a very comfortable stay, and overall, it offers great value for money. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
