Romantic Hotels in Jiangxi, China

We stayed for 3 days in this lovely hotel, the lady running the place was really nice and helped us organising trips in the Wuyuan area. From the terrace you have a great view of the village and can take great photos. The rooms are spacious and offer everything you need. The lobby/ breakfast area has a lot of charme, since all the furniture is from another era and so the place just feels very original and homey. Even though on 2 of 3 days we were the only guests, we got a full buffet of delicious Chinese food for breakfast, including a good coffee. The organised trips with Mister Yu were such a pleasure, he showed us the best spots in the area and was a really good driver.

The Huazhu Wuyuan Yueyuan Wufei B&B is amazing! 👍 The renovation of the old house was meticulously done. A professional designer designed the courtyard, preserving its ancient charm while maintaining elegance and comfort. The rooms are cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep. The meals are authentic Wuyuan cuisine, and the proprietress's cooking is exceptional, making the specialties incredibly delicious. Breakfast and lunch offer a complete selection of Wuyuan specialties (pocket carp, steamed pork with rice flour, steamed fish with rice flour, Qingming fruit, etc.). The dishes are made with all-natural ingredients, including cucumber, cowpea, green pepper, and river chicken. The whole family devours every meal! You can also cycle along the rippling river, amidst the gently swaying blossoms. In the courtyard, you can play pot-to-pot together, creating a truly immersive experience. The attentive service makes it feel like home! 🥰 The proprietress and her family run the B&B as if it were their own home. Every corner of the old house holds history, every visitor has a story, and every dish the proprietress prepares is filled with warmth. It is better to come here by yourself after seeing and hearing it. Feel the inheritance of this history and the love for life.

After a tiring journey, I was so glad I chose this hotel – it was an exceptionally comfortable stay. The moment I walked in, I was struck by how clean and fresh everything was; the housekeeping was incredibly thorough, and the towels and sheets were spotless and odorless. The room had great natural light and ventilation, with soft lighting and a simple, cozy decor. The service was attentive throughout my stay, and it was a nice touch that they offered free luggage storage after check-out. The mattress was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent – I couldn't hear any corridor noise at all. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance, and transportation was convenient. All the facilities were complete and worked perfectly, with hot water and air conditioning running smoothly. It offers great value for money, and the staff were gentle and welcoming, making me feel right at home. It was a perfect stay, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

This was a very weird hotel experience. Firstly, the staff is great and were very responsive to any issues I had. That being said, the hotel has seen better days. I changed rooms, but both rooms had very dirty carpets and bathrooms which had traces of molding on the silicone connections, and the windows were, in my opinion, small. The showers were clean, but the hairs were not removed for a long time, and the water drained very slowly. During my stay, I even saw a small gecko run across the bathroom... The AC unit is terribly loud too, and I couldn't sleep the first night almost at all because of it. I later got used to it, but it still gave me troubles during nighttime. On the third day, around 8:25, the cleaning staff barged into the room unannounced. Even though I was awake, this created an awkward experience... Later, when they came again, they only quickly knocked before coming inside again... The hotel's breakfast is minimal, and poorly prepared. I'd recommend skipping it, and getting something from the street in front of the hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good, being only a 5 minute walk away from the entrance to the Mount Longhu scenic area entrance.

This is a very special hotel designed in the Huizhou garden style, where every step offers a picturesque view worth stopping to admire. There's a dedicated lounge at the hotel's main entrance for guests waiting for the shuttle to take them to their rooms. The service attitude is excellent; you truly feel at home. I do have a few suggestions: it would be more convenient to add a box of tissues to the washstand; the soap dish is really impractical – after one use, the soap sticks firmly to it, making it very difficult to pick up the next time; please upgrade the hairdryer, as the current one seems to be from when the hotel first opened years ago, it's old-fashioned, heavy, noisy, and uncomfortable to use; finally, the showerhead is too small, and the water pressure is too strong, making showering uncomfortable. However, putting these points aside, everything else is really fantastic.

I booked this hotel at the foot of Mount Sanqing late in the evening, solely for the duplex layout. I didn't even check its location before booking, only to realize the next day when buying tickets that it's right next to the scenic area entrance – what a fantastic location! The next few photos are taken from the hotel's rooftop terrace – so beautiful! Oh, and summer in Sanqing Mountain is quite cool, though it can be a bit rainy. Sometimes you go up the mountain and it's so foggy you can't see anything, like being in the clouds. Now, about the stay itself. Even though it's a duplex, the bed on the first floor is a small one, tucked by the window near the staircase bend. It really only feels suitable for one person. If you're traveling with more people, this room configuration isn't ideal. My family of four (including two grown children) felt quite cramped sleeping there for one night. Actually, the first-floor space is quite large, but the hotel has used the bigger part for the living room. The sofa and coffee table just look out of place with the rest of the furniture, very mismatched and frankly, a bit low-rent. I can't help but wonder why they didn't just put a large bed on the first floor. That way, both levels of the duplex would have a big bed, and it would still feel spacious – wouldn't that be better? Oh, and here's a crucial point: the hotel's room hygiene definitely needs major improvement. On the toilet seat in the second-floor bathroom, we found some unidentified excrement *before* we even used it. When I communicated this to the staff, all I got was a simple ”sorry.” I ended up sanitizing the seat myself. Honestly, such disgusting hygiene issues are quite off-putting. I really hope they can strengthen their improvements in the future! Aside from that, everything else was quite satisfactory.

The晒秋民宿 (Shaiqiu B&B) inside Huangling Scenic Area has rooms that are a bit small, but it's understandable given its location in the mountain scenic area. The main advantage is its incredible convenience. From the moment we entered the scenic area's parking lot, there was a designated parking space for us. We didn't have to queue for the cable car, and with our luggage, we could go straight into the cable car without stairs. Once out of the cable car, the hotel's shuttle bus was waiting. Throughout the entire journey, someone helped with our luggage all the way to our room. Breakfast was at Tianfu Restaurant, and it exceeded my expectations. For a hotel inside a scenic area, the variety of breakfast items was extensive, and the food was genuinely delicious. I had two bowls of the fermented rice with egg. The hotel even called for a follow-up and later sent a small souvenir. The service across the entire scenic area is truly excellent. The biggest advantage of staying inside the scenic area is unlimited cable car rides up and down the mountain all day, without having to queue with regular tourists. At one point, I forgot something, so I just took the cable car down to the car to retrieve it, then took the cable car back up, all without any queuing. In the morning, I was able to be among the first at 8 AM to find a makeup and styling shop for makeup and photos. In the afternoon, there were many people taking photos, so staying at the hotel allowed me to take photos early on the second day when it was less crowded and cooler than in the afternoon. The price is a bit higher than B&Bs down the mountain, but it includes cable car rides and entrance tickets, so overall, it's not much more expensive. Plus, if you return within three years, it seems you can get free entrance and cable car tickets, which is a great deal. And if you get tired from exploring, you can just return to the hotel to rest and sleep, then continue exploring. Regular tourists have to leave the mountain by 8:30 PM, by which time the streets are deserted, allowing you to take photos however you like. The only downsides are the small room size and that the duvet felt a bit damp as it had just rained a little on the mountain. Wuyuan Huangling has particularly beautiful scenery; it truly lives up to its reputation as China's most beautiful village.

We had a great stay here! All the personnel was nice and attentive, we were registered pretty easily. The hotel offers a pick up service , which is quite convenient. We had a room with a skylight and a balcony, which was the best. In the morning and in the evening you can sit at the balcony and enjoy a nice view. The room is clean and the towels are changed every day. They serve Chinese style breakfast from 7 to 9, see the picture attached. Since we don't know much about local transportation, they gave us a ride to the local transportation hub where we could hop on a sightseeing bus. Once you get back from your trip in the evening, you can have a nice stroll from a busy Guling street area, it's down the hill and it takes you about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a real mountain view from their hotel room☺️

When climbing Mount Sanqing with my family, I chose Narada Hotel specifically because it's close to the Jinsha Cable Car, about a one-kilometer walk, which makes going up the mountain incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are very comprehensive; the lobby is clean and elegant, and they even offer complimentary fruit tea and black tea. Hiking poles are also available for loan. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and there are welcome fruits upon check-in, which is a thoughtful touch. It's perfectly suited for traveling with kids, as it has both an outdoor playground and an indoor swimming pool, keeping the children thoroughly entertained. The breakfast offers a rich variety, including local specialties like preserved vegetable pancakes, taro dumplings, and stir-fried rice noodles. The Four Seasons Restaurant on the second floor serves good food. After a tiring day of hiking, it's convenient and comfortable to rest a bit at the hotel before heading up for dinner. Overall, the value for money is excellent, making it ideal for family vacations. I recommend it to anyone visiting Mount Sanqing.

Absolutely recommend Mingxun Tang -- the hotel is nestled in the heart of Yan Cun, one of the smaller, delightful, history-rich and less touristy of the Wuyuan villages. The location is a very convenient point from which to do day trips around the scenic spots in Wuyuan. The hotel is in a beautifully reformed old house -- it has a lovely garden and keeps parts of the original structure, as well as some memorabilia from its previous iteration such as receipts from the late Qing Dynasty! The rooms are lovely and well-equipped with all amenities. Finally, the service is wonderful -- it was the owners of the hotel that recommended our driver and guide for the trip! The hotel offers delicious home-cooked meals and although they don't have coffee they kindly helped us buy some from a nearby cafe and brought it to us. Overall a wonderful stay!
