Romantic Hotels in Anhui, China

I stayed at the Bai Yun Hotel for one night during my photography trip to Huangshan. While the mountain can be very crowded and overwhelming, this hotel provided the perfect base to experience the true magic of the peaks. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional service provided by Xiaomin. As a solo traveler and hobby photographer, I was looking for quiet spots away from the masses. Xiaomin was incredibly professional and shared her expert knowledge of the mountain with me. Her recommendation to skip the crowded 'Bright Summit' for sunrise and head to Aoyu Peak instead was a game-changer. Thanks to her, I enjoyed a breathtaking sunrise in total silence and solitude – a rare and deeply moving experience on this mountain. The hotel itself is perfectly located for photographers, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. If you are looking for more than just a place to sleep, but a way to truly connect with the beauty of Huangshan, I highly recommend staying here. The accommodation offers spacious rooms, perfect for a family of three. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. Self check-in and check-out save a lot of time and hassle. Parking: (I drove myself and can confirm) Free parking is available in the underground garage with plenty of spaces, and there's a direct elevator to the rooms. There are multiple supercharging stations nearby, which is great for electric vehicles. Parking after 11 PM is also very cost-effective. Nearby: I recommend using shared electric scooters to get around. Lei Street is very close by, perfect for an evening stroll and late-night snacks. There's also a museum (though I didn't get to visit it due to time constraints).

My stay at Xihai Hotel during my Huangshan trip far exceeded my expectations! Located at an altitude of 1600 meters in the core scenic area, I just had to open my window to see unique pines, strange rocks, and a surging sea of clouds. The service was amazing: the butler was attentive throughout, proactively sending weather updates and sunrise times, and even planning my routes. They even provided down jackets for climbing free of charge – the attention to detail was exceptional. The restaurant buffet offered a wide variety, and the Huizhou cuisine was authentic; to find this quality high up in the mountains was a delightful surprise. The location is incredibly convenient, close to the Grand Canyon, Paiyun Pavilion, Danxia Peak, and 'Monkey Gazing at the Sea' – no long commutes needed to catch the sunrise and sunset. To stay this comfortably at the summit of Huangshan is incredibly good value! I'll definitely stay here again next time, highly recommended!

This stay was so comfortable! The hotel is super conveniently located, a 7-minute walk from the snack street, and surrounded by supermarkets and restaurants. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the noise-free nights were quiet, allowing for a wonderful night's sleep. Junjun's service was friendly and efficient, and the check-in was quick. He also offered tips for visiting the scenic spots. Every attention to detail was meticulous, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, and no odor. It's an excellent value, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in this city!

Highly recommend the InterContinental Hefei! 👍 It's centrally located by Swan Lake, close to Anhui Museum, Hechai 1972, and Leijie, making getting around super convenient 🚗. The room was spacious and comfortable 🛏️, equipped with an air purifier, and the bathroom was clean with no strange odors 🚿. Our dedicated butler was fantastic, providing attentive and thoughtful service 💁. They proactively offered us a quiet, non-smoking floor and even helped us order food and deliver it to our room 🍜. The kids were tired from sightseeing and were able to enjoy a meal as soon as we got back. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious 🍳; even though there were many people, everything was well-organized, and they even had some special Hefei snacks. Overall, a perfect experience! Kudos to all the staff. Staying here with kids in Hefei was incredibly stress-free. We received a lovely welcome gift upon check-in and a fridge magnet when we left, which made us very happy. Highly, highly recommend! ✨

Negative: - staffs English is not good, they still use cellphone translation - response time at reception for a a keycard replacement was slow - you can see that the corners in the rooms and bar are not thorough cleaned and that although it’s a fairly new hotel, it already looks a little run down here and there - in one of two rooms has been smoked before, although it’s a nonsmoking floor - waiter at breakfast argued that the water will cool down when I asked for cold water and he brought hot, instead of bringing cold water when I asked. After further arguing he finally brought a cup of cold water. - hotel cannot issue an invoice or fapiao so you have to go via Ctrip, which is an additional annoying step Positive: - got a WeChat contact who spoke English and was very helpful and asked if I want to change the room with the smoke smell - breakfast is great - elevators are arriving fast - view is great Have not tried the pool or gym.

We had a lovely stay at Yujian No.8 in Huangshan Tunxi Old Street. The room was very spacious and beautifully designed with an artistic and elegant touch, creating a warm and unique atmosphere. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Tunxi Old Street. It was very convenient to simply step outside and enjoy walking along the historic street, exploring the shops, local snacks, and the charming surroundings. The butler service was excellent. They kindly helped us arrange transportation to Huangshan Scenic Area and also to the railway station, which made our travel very smooth and convenient. They also provided great recommendations for delicious local food. Their warm hospitality truly made our stay more enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful experience and a perfect place to stay while visiting Huangshan.

The lady at the front desk was so kind and offered very attentive service! The room was spotless, with a great wet/dry bathroom separation. The TV comes with a Tencent VIP membership, which is fantastic for watching current shows in super clear quality! The breakfast was quite rich and varied, with beef noodles and sweet fermented rice with red beans – so delicious! It's close to the light rail station, making travel convenient, and there's a lounge on the first floor. Plus, there's a convenience store nearby. All in all, a pleasant surprise!

The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just a short walk up from the cable car exit. I had even booked a room with a view, but unfortunately, the weather was terrible, so I couldn't see anything. Guess I'll just have to dream about it and come back another time! The service was excellent, and the butler was very responsive. The Greeting Pine is right outside the entrance, so if the weather were good, catching the sunrise and sunset would be really easy. I enjoyed coffee and pastries for afternoon tea, and had the hotel's buffet for dinner. Prices on the mountain are a bit high, but that's just how it is.

The hotel is high-end and elegant, clean and hygienic, with attentive and warm service. When climbing Mount Huangshan, I traveled light and didn't bring a change of clothes. I encountered heavy fog and light rain, so I sweated a lot and my clothes got soaked. The hotel's laundry room and dryer were very convenient. The breakfast was also good, with a rich variety and was clean and hygienic. In the evening, there were also small games for guests to pass the time. They even prepared warm clothes and pajamas for guests. The shower water pressure was also great. Overall, it was a very good experience.
