Romantic Hotels in Anhui, China

I traveled during the May Day holiday, avoiding the peak crowd, and my highly anticipated Huangshan trip was absolutely perfect. I originally planned to stay at a hotel on Bright Summit, but I changed it at the last minute the day before my hike. I'm so glad I chose Baiyun Hotel! The five-star service was impeccable – they provided foot soak tubs, shoe dryers, flashlights, and even down jackets. In the evening, they thoughtfully delivered fruit, and the 'Wogan' mandarins were incredibly sweet. The breakfast was also very rich and varied. Just a small suggestion: two bottles of water in the room felt a bit scarce, and the 160 CNY dinner buffet wasn't as good as breakfast; it could definitely be improved. Manager Xiao Min was excellent, and the self-directed performances by everyone were fantastic.

Came here specifically for Jolin Tsai's concert, and my bestie and I chose this hotel for our weekend getaway. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations! Self check-in was super convenient, no waiting in line, and the lobby decoration was grand and stylish. The room was spacious, with a projector, toiletries, and a desk and chair all provided. The whole room was smart-controlled by Xiao Ai for lighting, and the natural light was excellent. It felt very spacious and well-designed, perfectly meeting our needs and making us feel very comfortable. The hotel is right next to the subway station, just a few minutes directly to the South Station, making travel incredibly convenient. The location is excellent, we really picked the right hotel! In the evening, we walked to the popular pedestrian street for photos, and it was very vibrant. Staying at this hotel made me really satisfied with the entire city of Hefei. There are tons of food options downstairs. The surrounding environment is fantastic, and there's a huge Metro supermarket right across the street. The breakfast had a rich variety and tasted great. The front desk staff were attentive and enthusiastic, and there were even welcome goodie bags and afternoon tea, which tasted amazing. For just over 200 yuan, the value for money is incredible! I've already recommended it to friends who are planning trips. Whenever I come to Hefei for concerts in the future, I'll definitely choose this hotel!

Facilities: We were upgraded from Block B to Block A, and the facilities were excellent. There's a dryer, which was a lifesaver! My waterproof jacket was really stuffy, so I dried it right after checking in, which made hiking later much more comfortable. The shower pressure was better than expected; the water flow was strong, which I wasn't anticipating. Toiletries, including toothbrushes and combs, were all provided, even though the booking page said they weren't, so we brought our own unnecessarily. Service: After checking in, a concierge added me on WeChat and sent important notices, including sunrise and sunset times. However, watching the sunset from Danxia Peak wasn't great; I climbed up with a lot of effort and waited for half an hour, only to see a tiny silhouette.

This rustic-meets-modern hotel, set in a beautifully preserved ancient building and surrounded by a vibrant historic neighborhood, was the coziest place we experienced in the Chinese mountains. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the rooms blended antique charm with modern comfort through thoughtful design, amenities, and appliances. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. We had to leave early one morning, and the staff kindly arranged breakfast 30 minutes before the usual serving time — a perfect example of their exceptional hospitality. The bathroom was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need — from toothbrushes and toothpaste to all the essentials of a high-end stay — and featured a magnificent bathtub. The peaceful atmosphere ensured a wonderfully restful night’s sleep. A truly memorable and charming stay in every way

I'm giving this five stars. First, let me address the downsides: 1. Hotels in Huangshan are incredibly expensive during holidays. It was 2000 RMB a night during the Qingming Festival. The buffet is 180 RMB, and kids under 140cm are half price. So, check your wallet first. 2. This hotel is great for kids, but there's no elevator, so seniors will have to walk up several flights of stairs. Now for the advantages: 1. It's expensive for a reason. Firstly, the hotel is relatively new and well-equipped. You have to remember that Bright Summit is at an altitude of 1860 meters, and all along the way, I saw porters carrying supplies. It's incredibly difficult to transport so many goods to the mountaintop. During holidays, when it's crowded, finding a comfortable hotel and spending two days hiking Huangshan is truly rejuvenating. 2. The kids loved it! The hotel has a great design. Right outside our room on the fourth floor, there was a Mario character sitting there, which my son adored. The arcade machines in the lobby are free, and kids were constantly gathered around them. Even adults from the '80s generation would spend ages playing. 3. I thought the 180 RMB buffet was pretty good; all the dishes tasted great. The cured meats like bacon and sausage were very authentic, and there was fermented tofu (Mao Doufu) and many other local specialties. The food was genuinely delicious. After a day of hiking, you're ravenous, and I ate a lot of short ribs, prawns, and warm kudzu powder (with a bit of fried rice, honey, and raisins – a real comfort for my stomach). I especially loved their pie-like pastry; it was so good, with preserved vegetables inside and what seemed like highland barley flour for the crust. My son is 140cm, so he got half price, making it 270 RMB for both of us, which is actually cheaper than ordering à la carte outside. 4. Originally, I wanted to stay at Bright Summit and Baiyun Pavilion to catch the sunrise. However, Danxia Peak near Paiyunlou offers excellent sunrise and sunset views, and crucially, it's less crowded and very close by. The hotel's 'little butler' (concierge) told me the sunrise and sunset times, with a 55% chance of seeing them. We were incredibly lucky during our stay and witnessed both morning and evening, leaving very satisfied. 5. From here, the next day, you can go to the West Sea Grand Canyon, take the small train, and then head down the mountain. Taste: Good Ambiance: Beautiful Service: Attentive

This stay was so comfortable! The hotel is super conveniently located, a 7-minute walk from the snack street, and surrounded by supermarkets and restaurants. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the noise-free nights were quiet, allowing for a wonderful night's sleep. Junjun's service was friendly and efficient, and the check-in was quick. He also offered tips for visiting the scenic spots. Every attention to detail was meticulous, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, and no odor. It's an excellent value, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in this city!

The room I chose was surprisingly good, with floor-to-ceiling windows. I arrived around 4 PM, and both the front desk staff and the butler were very welcoming. The butler even escorted me to my room. For dinner, I opted for the hotel buffet, not expecting much, but it turned out to be unexpectedly good as well. I was too tired to join the hotel's Children's Day activities. The hotel provides down jackets, which is a really nice touch! In the evening, the butler kindly reminded me that I could see stars and also informed me of the sunrise time for the next morning, as well as the route and estimated time for climbing Tiandu Peak. I can honestly say choosing this hotel added a wonderful touch to my trip! I forgot to take photos of the room, so I'll just share the night sky instead!

The room was spacious and comfortable, with memory foam pillows and nice bedding. The decor was modern. It's close to the road, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise at night. The soundproofing in the room wasn't great; I could hear the person next door talking on the phone. You can ask the front desk for earplugs. The breakfast selection was fairly extensive, but some of the bread was stale and dry, and there were small fruit flies. There's an underground parking garage, it's not huge but sufficient. It had a drain inside with a strange smell. The garage entrance is about 50m past the hotel's front entrance, then turn right.

Service: Absolutely fantastic! I've never seen executive lounge staff work so hard. Our butler, Xiao Guan, was especially wonderful and catered to our every request! We had a very comfortable stay; the kids didn't even want to leave. The hotel food was also delicious. The location is excellent too. Swan Lake is right downstairs, and in77 shopping mall is just a block away on foot. Walk a bit further and you're at MixC shopping mall.

My stay at Grand Hyatt Hefei exceeded all expectations! The location is absolutely fantastic, right above MixC Shopping Mall, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. My high-floor room offered breathtaking views, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Swan Lake – the nightscape was truly dazzling and so calming. The room itself had a lovely Chinese Zen aesthetic, clean and elegant, with comfortable bedding and top-notch facilities (Dyson hairdryer, smart toilet). The service was attentive and thoughtful, warm yet discreet, with great attention to detail. Breakfast was lavish, featuring a great mix of local specialties and international dishes. The high-altitude pool and gym were first-rate, giving a real resort feel. Overall, it was perfect; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hefei!
