Kudos to all the staff. Very friendly and accommodating made sure they satisfy their guests. Adhere to all of my requests. They even allow us to pack a breakfast (light snacks) for my kid who didn’t eat at buffet breakfast.

This is one of my favorite place to stay in Cebu whenever I want to be on staycation. The place is a walking distance to Crossroads, 88th Avenue, Cebu IT Park and even Waterfront Cebu. I spent New Year’s Eve there.
This is a budget friendly hotel. Will definitely be back again soon

We just checked out, and our stay was truly wonderful! The staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived until we left. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — exactly as shown in the photos. We also loved how peaceful the place was, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The location was convenient and easy to access, and the breakfast was delicious!
Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! 💖
We had a wonderful stay at Modala Beach Resort! The place is absolutely beautiful — clean, modern, and right in front of a stunning beachfront. 🌊 The staff were all very friendly, polite, and always ready to help with a smile.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The pool area was lovely, especially during sunset — perfect for photos! 📸 The food at the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast had a great variety.
It’s a great place for families, couples, or even friends who just want to unwind and enjoy Panglao’s natural beauty. We’ll definitely come back again soon. Highly recommended! ❤️
Surely it’s very nice 5 star hotel, but still one thing you need to consider before booking. The beach is sandy and zones nearby are quite comfortable to stay in and have a rest on the shore. But if you’re snorkeling fan - not a good option for you. On the photo you can see what happens on low tide. Surely you need to wear coral boots (mandatory!!!) and walk a long distance before reaching point where you can swim and snorkel. Still famous aero plane wreckage can be easily accessed and seen underwater. Coral bottom of the sea quite poor on this beach. But you can see a lot of different starfishes.

I enjoyed my stay in Crimson Resort, the room is big and spacious for families, the staff are friendly and well trained, the four pools are huge and fun and the daily breakfast is delicious. We especially enjoyed the foam party at adult pool and Crimzone pool, the playground in Crimsone, the seaweed collection activity, snorkeling and the complete amenities of the room. Cebu beach is so pretty. Big shout-out to Clint in breakfast for his very warm service to me and my daughter.
Cons:
- There was no housekeeping done on 2nd day of my stay which was not informed to me in advance, I think that was not professional.
- They don’t allow food delivery in but the food in the resort is not that delicious to be had everyday (I tried sisig, inasal and pizza).
- You need grab or taxi to go out to Cebu city (and face the jam) as the shuttle only runs 3x a day, so it’s not convenient if you want to explore Cebu.
Our stay at Bai Hotel Cebu was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, attentive service that set the tone for a truly refined experience. The room was elegant, spacious, and immaculately clean, offering both comfort and sophistication.
Every detail reflected quality and care—from the tasteful interiors to the well-maintained facilities. The atmosphere was calm and upscale, making it perfect for rest and relaxation. Bai Hotel Cebu delivers a level of hospitality that feels premium and thoughtful, and we would gladly return for another indulgent stay.

I have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations.
We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly.
The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor.
The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant.
The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day.
Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed.
Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience.

AAngelica AranasWe had a fantastic stay at Sheraton Cebu! If you prefer to have chill and relaxing stay in Cebu, definitely book this resort. Although, if you prefer to explore the city area, this is not the hotel for you as it is quite far from the city area, about an hour travel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, breakfast spread was good too! Recommended!
周周彥鋒The location is remote, but the hotel has a tuktuk (actually a Tricyle) for $400. If you have large luggage, the hotel can also send a tour bus for a fee of $1700. The hotel provides motorcycle rental or charter services. Since I rented a car and drove myself, you can ask the hotel for other fees. There is free parking but after 10 o'clock, the hotel staff will close the door and you can ask them to open it or open it yourself. The advantage is that it is quiet because it is remote. All the guests who checked in that day were European tourists. Fortunately, there was no party so it didn't feel noisy. I have to complain that the door lock is really bad. Every time I go out, I have to lock it for a long time but can't lock it... I suggest changing the lock... I suggest that you really put a shoe rack outside. I don't know where to put it... Because it was newly opened at the end of last year, the facilities are very new. There are no mosquitoes or ants in the room unless you don't close the door immediately. The bed is not soft or hard and it is very comfortable to sleep. The air conditioner is a Daikin air conditioner, which is very quiet and cold. This hotel needs to bring its own toothpaste and toothbrush. There is no package at all. All the drinks in the refrigerator except water need to be paid! The shower has poor drainage and is easily blocked. I saw that the hot water outside is a solar water heater, so the hot water supply is slow. It takes about 2-3 minutes for the water temperature to become hot. There are very few hangers in the room, only 2 are attached. There are many plugs, which are very suitable for us to charge mobile power supplies and mobile phones. There is a simple bar. The swimming pool water is very clean. The waiter cleans it regularly, but it feels that there are not many people left behind. There is only one person during the day and two nights. The breakfast is good. It is made that morning. There are not many choices, but at least there are fruits after the meal. The food tastes very good, whether it is Western or Philippine, it is very good. This price is worth living in such an environment
LLoy T YNearby to Ayala Malls. Eateries are nearby. Near to services like laundromat, barber, massage, convenience shops and etc. Hotel staff from front desk to security personnel are showing good service to the guests.

BBeverly J. BeverleyWe love Nustar so much! This is probably our 5th time here! Stayed here from Nov 5 to 7 as it’s Mine and my bros bday and it was after Typhoon Tino. As always they are very accomodating, friendly and helpful and gave me a piece of cake and fruit bowl but this time I ask for a happy birthday note on the monitor for background pic for me & entire family as celebration but they keep telling me they will send someone up but no one really came from the IT department . I did expect a happy birthday greeting on the monitor it would have been very special, but I understand as maybe they are so busy and under staff because of the typhoon and instead of 2 pm check and we were able to check in very late like 5:30 pm because they’re probably under staffs but all of these did not ruin our overall stay as new star staffs are all very welcoming. We had birthday dinner in the good luck hotpot which is just inside Nustar as well. Thank you Nustar for being very welcoming , friendly and hand on chest when Greeting guest is such a Nustar trademark please trade me a guest feel welcome and at home
BBubbleChimpGood for experienced divers but not for new divers, solo travellers, relaxing beach time or a deluxe experience even though it was £200+ a night so I did not think it was good value.
For me it was just the wrong choice and I didn't do enough research. The main disappointment comes down to me basing my expectations on the price instead of the 3 star rating. I haven't paid that much for a hotel before and usually go for 4 or 5 star places so I just don't understand the pricing, maybe that's just how it is in the Philippines. The staff and service are good, breakfast and the room are ok, spa and diving are the good amenities so it might be the diving location which warrants the price.
Lunch and dinner are good. I recommend the honey yoghurt muesli with mango and the chicken salad (with a dressing) for breakfast. Everything I had on the lunch/dinner menu was great - the tom kha gai soup, Dorado, burger, curry etc all good. Small range of beers and cocktails available but cocktails were good too.
The room and bathroom are fine for 3 star standards. There is termite stuff falling from the wood beams and dead moths or similar insects on shelves which did not get cleaned away.
The Swedish massage was good, I recommend Gail. The shiatsu was painful and pinched my skin so she switched to Swedish. The pool is murky and not enticing to swim in, lots of mozzies around it too.
I much preferred the beach and water conditions further down at Dauin. I like to relax on a nice beach and swim etc. that's where the great snorkeling is too. But the water at Atlantis is too rough and windy and the beach too narrow.
Although the dive masters are great for leading dives and probably for the other diving skills, I wouldn't recommend getting your open water certificate here especially if you're at all nervous about it. There were some differences with the SSI videos like being able to practise boat entry in the pool first and using a snorkel that I would have preferred what with the condition of the water there. The beach, water and entry conditions are so much better 20-30min down the beach at Dauin, Bongo Bongo beach. I managed to earn my open water and it was the reason for this trip but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I watched the divers enter at Dauin quite jealously.
Considering you can do 4-5 dives a day here plus a day for Apo island, I think 3-4 days here would be perfect.
The hotel tour prices were a bit more expensive than others I found and they do not arrange joiner tours so as a solo traveller, their tours were prohibitively expensive. For some reason there were no joiner tours available outside the hotel either, I don't know if that's because of the season (jan-feb) or that's usual for the Philippines but it's the first time I've experienced that in my travels.
The tour to Apo Island is good and well arranged. The only thing is as a snorkeler you have to wait until after lunch to get to the shallow turtle area but it was great and a benefit of going with the hotel is you leave on their boat right from the hotel, no need to drive to the ferry.
PPinkRangerThe room is good for couple or friends, the bed is comfortable and clean. The hotel is near the beach and restaurants which is a plus. The price for 1 night is not bad. Will recommend staying at hennan to everyone planning a trip to Panglao Bohol.

AAnonymous UserThis was my second time staying at Solea Hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of food choices, and the room rates are affordable, which makes the hotel a good value for money.
However, I was slightly disappointed with the check-in process this time. We booked three rooms, but upon arrival, only one room was available. We were allowed to check in to the first room and were asked to wait there while the other two rooms were being prepared.
Although the official check-in time is 3:00 PM, we only received the keys for the remaining two rooms at around 5:40 PM. The staff kept telling us that the room keys would be “to be followed,” but despite several follow-ups, the waiting time took around 2–3 hours, which was quite long. Since the rooms were booked online in advance, we were expecting them to be ready on time.
That said, this was the only time I experienced this issue. During my first stay, everything went smoothly and I had no complaints. I still appreciate the hotel’s amenities and affordability, and I hope the check-in process can be improved in the future.
