Completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby decor is grand yet cozy 🏡, and the bellhop was super enthusiastic about helping with luggage 🧳. The room's soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any noise 🤫, and waking up to the morning sun was incredibly refreshing 🌞. Checkout was super fast, no long waits ⌛. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love the Imperial Hotel Osaka! It's so close to Umeda, yet incredibly peaceful with beautiful views. From my window, I could see the Okawa River, amphibious tour buses (or cars!), and the pier. Taking a walk by the river and clearing my mind was incredibly therapeutic. I heard the hotel is almost fully booked for cherry blossom season, and I can only imagine how stunning it must be then!
Speaking of the hotel, it truly lives up to its reputation as an established brand. The service is impeccable. There are seven restaurants within the hotel, each with its own unique charm. This time, I tried the Jasmine Chinese restaurant and the Western bar. The Chinese restaurant served some of the most authentic Chinese food I've had in Japan, though I was disappointed not to try the recommended lobster – it was sold out that day. The Western bar, however, was absolutely delicious, fairly priced, and the service was excellent.
The hotel makes you feel cared for at all times, without ever being intrusive. The staff are incredibly discreet and attentive.
- Spa was good, breakfast was good.
- Location was good; we could go shopping or eating outside easily. The area across the station felt a bit unsafe, and there were some homeless people around.
- Very clean floors in the entire building since everyone had to take off shoes at the lobby.
- After check-out, the hotel allows guests to store their luggage if guests stay on the premises to enjoy the spa. However, if guests leave the hotel after checkout and then return later, the hotel does not offer luggage storage. In that case, you have to use the coin lockers in front of the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient because I had to exchange money again to use the locker. That was the only inconvenience.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle (newly opened in 2024) is a premium business hotel that boasts great views, new rooms, spacious accommodations, moderate transport links, and an international chain standard of service. It's ideal for travelers who want to see Osaka Castle, stay in a new hotel, and value space.
**Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose):**
1. **Osaka Castle Views are a Major Draw:**
* High-floor/castle-view rooms offer direct views of Osaka Castle's main tower, with particularly stunning night views. This is the hotel's biggest selling point.
* The executive lounge is also on a high floor, allowing you to enjoy the castle view while dining, adding to the experience.
2. **New, Clean, and More Spacious Than Similar Japanese Hotels:**
* Opened in 2024, the decor is modern and minimalist, facilities are brand new, and hygiene standards are high.
* Rooms are generally more spacious than other business hotels in Osaka at a similar price point, mostly 26–30 sqm. Two large suitcases can be opened without feeling cramped, and bedding is comfortable.
* Most bathrooms come with a bathtub, amenities are comprehensive, and water pressure and temperature are stable.
3. **Comprehensive Facilities, Suitable for Families/Business:**
* Features an indoor pool and fitness center, which is rare for this price range in downtown Osaka.
* The executive lounge, meeting rooms, and business center are all available, making it suitable for business trips.
* Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged in advance, making it family-friendly.
4. **Good Location for Sightseeing, Requires Transfers for Shopping Districts:**
* Very close to Osaka Castle Park, making it super convenient for exploring the castle; near Temmabashi Station, about a 7–10 minute walk.
* Requires subway transfers to get to Umeda/Shinsaibashi, taking about 20–30 minutes one-way, which might be a slight hassle for serious shoppers.
5. **Consistent Service, International Chain Standard:**
* Front desk offers multilingual service, check-in and check-out are smooth, and luggage storage and package receiving services are available.
* Includes the signature DoubleTree warm cookie, showing attention to detail; overall, it's more American professional rather than exquisitely delicate Japanese service.

Good value for money hotel. APA hotels are always reliable because you know what you are getting. The public bath after a long winter's day was everything. I put some tips below for first timers.
Pros: Public bath, the best part about this hotel. I have been to an actual onsen in a way more secluded place but it was almost better having a lot of people in the bath because everyone just minds their business - I recommend it even if you are shy. TV, has streaming services and it logs you out automatically when you check out, contains useful information such as public bath crowd levels, how to use the baths, safety information, weather etc. Large mirror by desk area with lights for makeup or work and full length mirrror too. Shoe horn was so handy. Good ammenities. 7 eleven on 4F by the baths, with smoothie machine. Near Namba station, Dontonbori and a lot of stores - perfect location for day trips and last minute shopping before a flight.
Cons: Area can feel a bit intimidating to walk alone at night alone, I got approached by a man on the way back from Dontonbori (around 9pm, so wasn't even too late), he had difficultly taking no for an answer so I was constantly watching my back after that - just be cautious as always, ladies. Take into account waiting time at traffic lights, it can be very long if you are in a hurry with suitcases. Impersonal experience, you do most things yourself like check in/out (understandable because of the size) but it would have been nice to be greeted when leaving and coming.
Tips: Get the airport limousine, drops you right by the hotel. Baths are more crowded late at night. Watch the videos on the TV for public bath rules and how to put on the yukata. Undress (wear underwear if you feel uncomfortable) and wear the yukata (tie it properly so it doesn't come undone) wiith the black outer jacket and black slippers. Tie your hair up (I used a claw clip) so it does not fall on your shoulders. Use the big plastic bag they give to carry your things in when you go to the bath. I just packed both a big and small towels provided, a hairbrush, fresh undies and my key card - toiletries are provided. Some girls did bring a change of clothes. You can unlock the bath entrance with your keycard. There are lockers with a wristband key to store your stuff after you undress and a water fountain. Only bring your locker key and the small towel into the shower room. If you are shy, you can use the small towel to cover your parts as you walk. Have a quick, hot shower before you enter the bath pools. Don't submerge the small towel, place on or tie around your head. After you bathe, you can properly wash yourself then dry yourself using the small towel before going to your locker. There is also a getting ready station after you change to dry hair and put on lotion.

Coming from Tokyo, I thought I had the Shinkansen system down, but Osaka Station definitely taught me a lesson! I got lost as soon as I exited the subway, and we only found the hotel because my husband could read the map. I'd highly recommend taking a taxi if it's your first time in Umeda and heading to this hotel!
However, once we got our bearings, we realized the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Osaka Station is just 200 meters across the street! Hankyu Station and Umeda Station are also nearby. Within 500 meters, you'll find the Umeda shopping district: Hankyu Department Store, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100, Daimaru Department Store, Yodobashi Camera, and Hankyu Sanbangai are all in the vicinity – a shopper's paradise! The best part is the time-saving aspect; if you buy too much to carry, you can just drop it off at the hotel and head out again – plenty of time, haha.
Most importantly, it's also quite close to Universal Studios Japan. A 17-minute subway ride from Osaka Station makes it incredibly convenient.
**Service:** While I didn't find any staff who spoke Chinese, they were very friendly towards Chinese guests. My basic English was sufficient. You'll need to pay the deposit with cash or a Visa card.
**Accommodation:** Since the price is a bit higher than the Shinsaibashi area, the rooms are also larger. This is the biggest hotel room I've stayed in Japan, and the accommodation was excellent and very clean. The only downside was that the hairdryer had very weak airflow and was loud, making it a struggle to dry my hair.

Loved our stay at City Plaza Osaka! We used Osaka as a base for our trip, going on multiple short day-trips followed by a longer stay in Tokyo, with one final night in Osaka before heading home. First room was clean and cozy, second room was HUGE and perfect for repacking our checked bag. Both rooms were comfortable and clean with excellent water pressure in the shower. Plenty of nice cafes and restaurants nearby, so didn’t try the hotel breakfast, but highly recommend Osaka Engine (has gluten free ramen options!) for a delicious meal! The FamilyMart downstairs was very convenient, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the onsen was the cherry on top. The hotel location was great, easy walking distance to various metro stations and sights like Osaka Castle. 10/10 would stay again!
This is one of the largest hotel rooms I've stayed in Japan. It perfectly accommodated 2 adults and 2 children. The bathroom is great, with a separate tub for bathing and a shower. There's a wardrobe to hang clothes and a table for eating. Overall, it's very clean. It's right next to the train station, although getting here from the airport requires a transfer, it's definitely worth it. It's also very quick and convenient to get to other parts of the city. I'll definitely book this hotel again if I visit Osaka in the future.
It was our first time in a classic Ryokan with a traditional kaiseki dinner and it was just fantastic! Amami is a very small but beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and explained everything in detail. Kaiseki dinner was amazing! We visited in September and the dinner included seasonal persimmon. Hot spring water is really hot for my body, but over time you get used to it and it feels great. Overall our group enjoyed it very much!

This five-star hotel, with over 30 years of history, is nestled between Hankyu and Umeda. The doorman's service was excellent, truly making guests feel at home. We booked a quad room with two generously sized beds. The bathroom was quite spacious, and compared to other hotels we stayed at in Japan this trip, despite the slightly older toilet, it was still very good overall. The hotel service was great, and housekeeping was thorough. There are several restaurants to choose from within the hotel, but just across the street, along the subway line, there's a fantastic food street with many small eateries worth trying.

GGuest UserThis hotel exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, making it a perfect place to unwind. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very comfortable.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help with a warm smile. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and truly great value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return again.

XXiaoxiaoxiaoxiaolaotouThe hotel's location is convenient, about 1km from the commercial center's Daimaru and Hankyu department stores, and around 600m from the subway station. __cangyueI've always loved the style of W Hotels, and choosing the W Osaka this time was definitely the right decision.
**Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive, truly befitting a five-star hotel. The breakfast was also delicious, and the gym, swimming pool, and other amenities were all fully equipped.
**Cleanliness:** Spotless, no complaints there.
**Environment:** The 'nightclub' vibe of the environment is fantastic! There are also many great places to eat nearby. I highly recommend the Blue Bottle Coffee downstairs. It's also very close to Shinsaibashi and Namba, basically within walking distance. The subway is convenient too, and Daimaru is just across the street diagonally, making shopping very easy.
**Service:** Everyone was very enthusiastic, and most staff offered Chinese language service. English communication was also not an issue. I will definitely choose W Hotels in other locations in the future.

JJOYING121My friends and I came to Japan for National Day, and we specifically chose to stay in a five-star hotel for a day. This place had good reviews, and it looked like it had a great view directly facing Osaka Castle.
When we arrived, it was evening. At the lobby, they took all our luggage. We just had to go upstairs to check in. The staff brought our luggage directly to our room.
The front desk needed passports for everyone and a deposit. I heard that credit card refunds can be slow, so I opted for a cash deposit. The accommodation tax was directly deducted the next day.
The room was really spacious! And since there were three of us, the hotel set up a third bed by the window. The capsule coffee in the mini-bar was free, but there was a price list for everything else. There was a surprising amount of water in the room.
The bathroom was huge, with separate wet and dry areas, and a large bathtub. They provided three bathrobes and even separate spring/summer pajamas in the drawer. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner all smelled lovely.
We also made sure to check out the gym. One of my friends woke up early the next day to work out (so dedicated!). You need your room key card to enter the gym. It was very clean, had a good selection of equipment, and even complimentary fruit.
The swimming pool seemed to require reservations, and since we didn't bring swimsuits, we didn't go.
For breakfast the next day, you just give your room number and then there's a menu to order from, with both Western and Chinese options. I ordered fried eggs with sausage, and my friend had the Japanese set. Other items like bread, pastries, coffee, and yogurt were self-service, but I thought the taste was just average.
Oh! One thing I thought was really great was that my friend got her period and stained the bedding. When we checked out, I asked the front desk if there would be a cleaning fee, and they said it was absolutely fine! That was really good. Plus, they even had a Chinese-speaking front desk staff, so communication was seamless.

SsakuracatI often go to a hot spring hotel in the mountains. It is most convenient if you have a car. The hotel has regular bus pick-ups. The hot springs are great, the rooms are clean, there are fewer tourists, and the experience is very good.
