This hotel has seen better days unfortunately.. Maybe it was once a main hotel chain but the current owners are struggling to keep on top of issues. .The first room offered to me had a mouldy damp smell. The second option was better . But overall I couldn't recommend a stay here.
Lovely room, bed was amazing. Food was superb. Staff were fantastic. Leisure pool could do with a re fresh and our room was freezing cold. The heating kept switching itself off. Room 244. Would stay again but in the Warmer months.
Hotel looks very posh. Unfortunately thats where it stops. The family room was large but lacked character.
The gym facilities was extra charge
Breakfast was OK. But plates and bowls were filthy
We travel to Midlandsa lot. We wont be staying here again.
.
Beautiful grounds. Thankfully the heating in the room works. There are however no lifts and the way to the rooms from reception is confusing. But nice staff, and Sherelle at the restaurant who was our waitress was amazing and thoughtful and made sure my team and I were well looked after.
Best swimming pool in Conventry, extra £5 per day per visitor, so I didn’t join. Self-check in, no service. Pub and Starbucks downstairs, Friday 4pm onwards free car park until Sunday. Weekday parking fee applies.
Good sized room, and the single beds were very comfortable and spacious. Great location for the NEC (less than 10mins walk). Payment for the car park was steep, would expect that to be free for hotel guests pr at least much more subsidised.
Nice hotel, quiet, big parking. They have complimentary shuttle bus from Birmingham International station which wasn't mentioned in the booking email received. So ended up using cab from the airport for £15 or so. This hotel is not inside the airport so don't get confused with another Holiday Inn which is inside the airport ground and walking distance to Departures.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoy my stay. Great facilities nice pool and spa which hardly any Birmingham hotels have. the bar is also really nice. Breakfast at the Hyatt is always a treat 😄
However some areas of the hotel do seem to be getting a bit tired and need an update considering the room cost.

Very Good
GGuest UserAll staff were excellent always very helpful, facilities need refreshing hotel needs sprucing up, gym equipment tired and ripped Pool small.
Chairs in the bar area either dirty or broken, very busy hotel trying to be too many things to too many people. Tried to book Spa on Saturday or Sunday both full.
Breakfast basic to say the least.
It was a shame, as once again the staff made our stay.
GGuest UserGood location close to M42, free parking onsite, easy access to reception check in was straightforward lifts to all floors and the room was perfect clean and warm.
self service for buffet breakfast good variety for every taste. would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

GGuest UserHotel was in great location for conference at millennium point. Easy access to city but nicely located in slightly quieter spot in Aston university campus. Room was nice and even could have a range of pillows . Bathroom nice , with good fluffy towels . I did think the products were likely watered down and the loo roll was the brown scratchy sort . I was on the second floor and only real complaint was that from 7am the main door slams, it’s like one of those sound cannons waking you up.
Maybe a quiet shut be an easy fix.
Otherwise the staff are all really polite and helpful. Free swim/ gym pass for the university pool is a real nice touch. All in all excellent . But a soft close on that door would be amazing .

MMatt CQStayed here as we were attending a wedding at the registry office (opposite). Found the check-in staff to be very friendly and efficient. Only one elevator was functioning during our stay. Had booked a double room but was initially allocated a twin, this issue was resolved immediately and without any fuss. Rooms were small but contained all you needed, however as they all had a connecting door there was an issue with people talking in the next-door room late at night and during the afternoon. Buffet breakfast was pretty standard ”luke warm” stuff made worse by a lack of marmalade.
